3 out of 5 eggsRam is a bit Grumpy

Pros: Low cost , Simply works

Cons: First tried in a quad core Intel Celeron system with fail results , but for some strange reason it will work just fine in an I3 system go figure.

Other Thoughts: Ensure it will work on your specific MB

Manufacturer Response:

.
Dear Customer

Glad to hear you got the RAM at a low cost and it is working well in your system. This is a popular plug and play memory kit that is a nice upgrade for any older system. An additional 4GB is perfect for multi-tasking, video editing, and memory intensive tasks, to prevent the operating system from slowing down under any circumstance. If you experience boot failure with each module installed, make sure you have the latest BIOS. An update can improve system stability. For any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.

Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsSome Good 'Ol RAM

Pros: It's RAM. It may not be considered pretty RAM, but is there really such thing as ugly RAM? Hey, it's got a wonderful green color XD

Like I said though, it's RAM. It get's the job done, and 4 gigs will be more than enough for most people.

Cons: It's RAM. It does what it does, I haven't had any problems with it :)

Other Thoughts: Very niiice. I like. I recommend it.

5 out of 5 eggsCheap, works.

Pros: Cheap, not super-fast or super-large, but plenty enough for a parents' PC.

Cons: No problems so far.

Other Thoughts: Ram can be unreliable, but the ratings on this particular product are spectacular.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat basic ram upgrade

Pros: I needed a ram upgrade for an older pc and this fit the bill perfectly. It was affordable and it works. Good enough for me. I also like that the ram I was sent was actually black in color (which is awesome) not green as shown in the picture.

Cons: should have bought this ages ago.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks in eMachines EL 1850G-42W Computer

Pros: After buying 3 sets of memory for an eMachines EL 1850G-42W desktop, this is the only set of the 3 that will boot the computer. I tried another set of DDR3 1333 as well as accidentally a set of DDR3 1866 and the motherboard simply let of a long beep upon attempting to power on.

This G.Skill NS memory worked like a champ.

Cons: No cons whatsoever. It just works.

Other Thoughts: I kept the fast memory for my PC and returned the other DDR3 1333 set with no hassle from newegg. Kudos to Newegg on that. But these cheap eMachines PCs are very, very picky on the memory they use. First time in 20 years of building PCs I've ever encountered this (after much talk online of others experiencing). Likely due to cheap motherboard (which I don't buy -- this memory upgrade was for a friend). Just say no to bargain basement PCs if at all possible.

5 out of 5 eggsAdequate

Pros: Cheap and worth the investment for a simple desktop. Passed Memtest at default settings.

Cons: 4Gb is almost becoming insufficient.

Other Thoughts: This is for my mom's computer. She uses it to watch bluray movies and play web games. I've watched memory usages and it hovers around 2.8Gb. Windows update pushes it to 90%.

5 out of 5 eggsCheap, it fits, does the job.

Pros: Added these to my existing 4GB for 8GB total. At first these were in the 2 and 4 slots, and my system wouldn't restart. I swapped locations with the old memory, putting these in slots 1 and 3, and it fired right back up. False alarm! Everything works great.

Cons: None.
