5 out of 5 eggsAs advertised

Pros: Price
Performance
All that's really needed

Cons: None unless doing heavy image/video editing and you need faster memory timing. For gaming and general use this is the sweet spot between price and performance.

2 out of 5 eggsDead after less than a year

Pros: They seemed to run fine for a while.

Cons: They couldn't hand in a system I dedicate to file sharing only. The system is plenty cool enough for a file server.

Also, I got two sets of these and there is one bad stick in each set. I tested each stick several times.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer

We will be glad to help with any issues. This RAM is above standard, so make sure to configure settings in BIOS/EFI. Without the proper configuration, it is possible for the memory to error and corrupt over time. 16GB of DDR3-1600 is nice and fast, perfect for a file sharing server. Though in the future, if you need 16GB, make sure to use a single 16GB kit of RAM. Having mixmatched is not ideal for optimal performance. If you believe some modules are defective and need to be replaced, complete the RMA form online and we can replace it right away. For all further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I've owned several of these kits, none of them have failed. Even after a few years, they are still running strong. I've only bought G.Skill Ripjaws because these are so good.

Well priced, amazing reliability

1 out of 5 eggsDead on Arrival

Pros: None

Cons: Had 4 Gig (2x2) of basically the same Gskill memory in the machine. Wanted to upgrade machine to 8 gig (4x2) so ordered these, thinking everything would work fine. They were dead on arrival. So bad that when the system powered, it wouldn't even show the setup screen. Replaced the old 2x2s back in and machine booted to OS like a champ.

Other Thoughts: Reading the review here, it looks like GSkill may be having serious quality control and testing issues. Some people are having good luck. Others, not so much.

Manufacturer Response:

.
Dear Customer

We are sorry to hear the memory did not work well in your system. It is very unlikely both modules are completely dead. Test one module at a time to see if you can get the system to boot up. If not, it may be a compatibility issue between the RAM and motherboard. Check that you have the latest BIOS/EFI. Also, make sure the CPU can natively support DDR3-1600. The newer DDR3 modules may not work well for some older hardware so it is possible to encounter a problem. For assistance with this, or if you have any questions, please feel free to contact the G.Skill technical support team directly. They will make sure you upgrade with some good working RAM.

5 out of 5 eggsFast ram, looks awesome.

Pros: This ram is fast, dual channel is great. I just got this to replace a 4 channel 8gb setup i had, so in the future I could upgrade further and I could recycle the 4 channel somewhere else. It works fine, but faster ram doesn't really show during gaming unless you're using some off brand thing.

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: I have used this ram in 2 builds. Mine and my brothers. This ram works fine and seems to have no issues
