Pros: This runs as advertised, but I wasn't able to overclock it nearly like I have other kits of CAS 9 1600. It runs at 1600 fine, though, so to be fair I can't complain.

2 out of 5 eggsedit : apparently Gskill RMA process isnt that bad

Pros: i had written a review of this ram and concluded that gskill's rma process was a bit shaky. but apparently the email w/ the rma number that was given to me was stuck in my spam mail. a noob mistake obviously on my part. this review should at least let people know to check your spam if your having the same issue.

Cons: i think they should tell people to check their spam emails box if they dont receive an email back w/ an RMA number instead of telling people to submit the RMA again. seems a bit silly i think.

Pros: Does what I expected it to do. Very fast when I have multiple windows open and still playing my games. no lags at all. great product. Looks amazing too.

1 out of 5 eggs2x sets of 8gb bad? hilariously bad RMA process?

Pros: memory worked ok when i first got it. never had issues with gskill memory in the past

Cons: i originally bought 2 sets of 8gb for a total of 16 gb.
2 sticks of 4gb made up each 8gb set.
i started having random freezes and crashes shortly afterwards.
When i removed the first set of 2x 4gb sticks the crashes stopped.
i sent them back to newegg and had a refund applied.
This was within the newegg 30day return policy.

all was fine using the 2nd pair of the 2x 4gb sticks when all of a sudden i was getting stuck in reboot loop
starting as soon as windows started loading. i tried a new motherboard and new hdd. same issue. i replace the memory and the problems stop. you dont need a degree to see what was the cause.

Here is where the story gets interesting! i went and filled out an RMA form on http://www.gskill.com/en/rma and the only response i get is an email (not inluding any of the information i typed into the page) saying

"If you do not receive any RMA numbers within 72 hours, please resubmit your RMA request form or contact us via email for a confirmation. If you have any questions, please contact us directly at rma@gskillusa.com. "

i have emailed rma@gskillusa.com and no response yet.

THAT is weird right? RE-submit the RMA? where did it go the first time? why would i go through the same process twice just to get a message that makes it sound like they dont even have the ability to properly store and process my request?

imagine going to a restaurant and a waiter takes your order then says "oh if the food doesnt come out at some point ill just take your order again" ?!

We will be glad to help with this issue. The memory is above standard, so make sure to configure settings in BIOS/EFI. Without the proper set up, the RAM will not perform as designed. With regards to the RMA process, as long as you complete the form correctly, you should receive a response shortly. We ask that you contact us directly if you do not because in some cases people input something incorrectly, or the RMA email goes into a SPAM folder, many things can happen but we need you to let us know so we can help. If you do not reach us directly, we can not help you directly. For any questions or concerns, or if you need help with BIOS, feel free to let us know.
