1 out of 5 eggsRMA - A JOKE

Pros: To bad, I can't give a rating of 0 eggs for this.

Cons: RMA - if you need help. Good luck! First you have to wait to get registered on the forum and next you need to wait for someone to get back with you about your RMA. I tried two times in the span of 8 months trying to RMA my memory. The service is so bad. I don't recommend to buy G.SKill to anyone.

Other Thoughts: I wouldn't recommend this brand to anyone. The lifetime RMA is a joke.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: A very affordable 2 x 2GB DIMM kit from G.Skill, with reasonable speed and timings. I've purchased three of these kits, all of which were undamaged and worked perfectly.

Cons: The heat spreaders are somewhat tall, and may not fit under large aftermarket heatsinks on many motherboard layouts.

Other Thoughts: I initially purchased one of these kits while building a budget PC for personal use. I was satisfied with them, and purchased another pair for myself, as well as a third pair for another system.

Remember to check your motherboard's Quality Vendor List before purchasing memory to avoid compatibility issues - older systems have trouble with newer, higher-clock RAM. My motherboard's QVL only listed the 9D-4GBXL model from G.Skill, but handled this set fine.

5 out of 5 eggsG.Skill or nothing

Pros: I've been building PCs for ~12 years. I've never once had any issues with any product I've purchased from NewEgg. This is certainly no exception. I used G.Skill for my own PC as well as the PCs for family and friends. Let me tell you - the PC I built for myself in January 2010 (five years ago) is still running strong. I used G.Skill DDR3 1333 back then. Now I've bought these for my HTPC. Simple install, and works as advertised. Verified speeds and ratings in BIOS. Can't ask for better than that.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I know there are other reputable brands of RAM - Kingston, Corsair, etc. But I've never had any issues with G.Skill and I absolutely love the performance, reliability and the stability of the RAM over time. What more can you ask for?

5 out of 5 eggsGreat reliable RAM

Pros: I bought 2 sticks of this RAM for a total of 4GB in September 2013 and they've been going strong since. I use my computer for 8+ hours a day every day and have had absolutely no problems. If you need reliable, fast RAM, then look no further. I'll definitely be buying 2 more sticks to put in my computer soon.

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsGood ram, cheap update

Pros: I have owned 4GB (2 x 2GB) of G.Skill Ripjaws ddr3 ram since 2011 and haven't had a single problem with them. I have recently purchased another 4GB (2 x 2GB) so my gaming rig can have 8gigs of ram. Windows 7 and Yosemite OSX run great on my rig with this extra ram.

Editing software and screen recording programs respond quicker now. I am one of the people that usually have up to 20-30 tabs open sometimes in a browser and the more ram for that the better. The year is now 2015 and I think 8 gigs of ddr3 ram is more than enough for now.

Specs:

i5 4670k @3.4ghz (when I want extra performance I overclock it to 4.2ghz when I'm gaming. Otherwise I keep it at 3.4ghz.)

G.Skill Ripjaws 8gb ddr3 ram

Corsair 100i

Nvidia GTX 760

Cons: None that I can think of. Maybe this rams a bit dated in the speed department, but I doubt many people will be able to tell different ram speeds anyways. It's ram at the end of the day. However to be honest I've never had experience with faster ram than this so I can't tell you if there's that much of a difference.

Other Thoughts: I bought these when they were on Sale. I'm unsure if they are still on sale. I bought for $34.99 plus tax which turned out to be something around 37 dollars. When I bought these originally in 2011 I think these sold for 59 or 60 back then.

5 out of 5 eggsRock solid, Lasts forever

Pros: Purchased in 2010 and still going strong. Just set and forget the timing in the bios. You wont be sorry. Getting another 4 gig set myself.

Cons: So far (5 years) not one hiccup out of these sticks.

Other Thoughts: Just great all around. Sure there is better stuff but I like the fact that it runs forever. Have never had an issue from it. Runs smooth and very cool to the touch under heavy loads. Just a good honest product.

5 out of 5 eggsG Skill Ripjaws

Pros: good solid set plan on picking up 4GB more to up my system to 8GB total.
Z97 motherboard detected speed and timings right off the bat, nothing to correct in bios when setting up.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: none.
