5 out of 5 eggsA Great Buy

Pros: Great timings, perfect for any i5 build, quickest sticks for the money.

Cons: Felt a little tight going in, remember to use the flat areas on the sides or you might bend a fin.

Also, if you haven't read any of the other comments, the timings do not default to the advertised timings - you have to tweak the timings in your bios. Not hard to do with most mobos/manufacturers, but be aware.

Other Thoughts: Perfect fit for any serious gamer, but enthusiast overclockers with bottomless pockets should keep looking.

5 out of 5 eggsvery good

Pros: These work as expected (see other thoughts).

Passed MemTest with no problems.

Cons: See other thoughts.

Other Thoughts: Booted without problems on my Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H and AMD Phenom II X6 1055T. I checked the SPD using CPU-Z and it has the 667MHz specs (XMP-1334) at 7-7-7-23 not 7-7-7-21.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: -Plug and Play goodness.
-They have heat spreaders that aren't too tall to collide with an HSF
-Run at rated times perfect (7-7-7-21)

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: My Mobo automatically defaulted them to 9 CAS, but a short trip into BioS fixed that. Was easy enough and stable at 7 CAS.

5 out of 5 eggsJust one wish

Pros: Works at rated specs

Cons: I hate having to manually set timings in BIOS.

Other Thoughts: I know this is common in "overclocked" memory, but why can't the SPD table default to rated specs. Maybe its to make sure the memory at least boots before you set timings? I know its different, but video cards come factory overclocked without the end user having to overclock it themselves just to get it to work at rated specs

4 out of 5 eggssolid, reliable so far

Pros: Works as expected. Using w/ Gigabyte GA-790XTA-UD4 and worked great upon install. Still clicking along fine. Does what memory is supposed to do- go unnoticed.

Cons: none

Manufacturer Response:

.
Dear Customer

Thank you for your G.Skill purchase and review. Glad to hear the memory is working just fine in your system. With the memory properly configured in BIOS, this low latency kit should provide a significant boost over a standard module. We hope you enjoy the performance. If you have any questions or issues in the future, please feel free to let us know and we will be glad to assist you.

Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsNot bad

Pros: Heat spreaders seemed to be of great quality; ASUS-rated-compatible with the M4a89GTD Pro USB3 Board. Runs stable on the lower 1.5V range, leaving plenty of room to Overclock

Cons: I mislead myself into thinking the Frequency of this ram was 1333Mhz. Timings defaulted to 9-9-9-24 but easily fixed to set to advertised timing spec.

Other Thoughts: Dont forget DDR means Double Data Rate. The Ram actually operates around 667Mhz. I dont think this adversely affects performance. According to wikipedia DDR3 should be stable to about 1000Mhz (or 2000 MT/s or DDR3 2000) - also quoting wikipedia the DDR3 standard will take voltages up to a little over 1.9V before frying.... so again, theres room to grow with these G.Skill sticks But always do your homework! Make sure the model ram you buy is listed on your motherboard's manufacturer page as a compatible device.
