1 out of 5 eggsIt worked for 2 years

Pros: At the time a good price not so much now.

Cons: When you do a RMA they will tell you to insure for loss yet they do not insure for loss on the return trip so if they get lost in the mail it will be on you. It's hit or miss as far as email I had only a 50% response rate. I never got a single email during RMA process just an anonymous email from stamps telling me an unknown shipment was mailed from California. I Joined there forums and activated my account in hopes of opening up lines of communication but from the instant my account was activated I had no posting privileges. NEVER AGAIN WILL I BUY G.SKILL.

Dear Customer

We will be glad to help with this issue. If we received your RMA return, we guarantee you to receive a working replacement back. So you are responsible for making sure we receive the return, and we will make sure you receive new hardware. If there is any issue, you can contact any support email, telephone, or forum support and a representative will be glad to help. The G.Skill RMA process is quick and hassle free. We don't take days to check in your product and diagnose the return so we can send you details. We believe you need your computer running, so once you receive your RAM, we are going to send you new memory back right away. We would like to solve the issue immediately rather than keep you posted on the status of your RMA. With regards to the forum, there is a temporary wait period to filter SPAM users, so that is why you were unable to immediately post. You should now have full access to the G.Skill technical forum. For any further questions or concerns, please feel free to let us know directly.

Thank you

3 out of 5 eggsLasted 2 years

Pros: Worked well out of the box. I did not over clock the memory due to restrictions of motherboard.

Cons: I did an RMA with G.Skill with a turnaround of one day. G.Skill should consider better communication during the RMA process. They sent no emails letting me know they received the memory and nothing letting me know they shipped it out. The only reason I know they shipped it back to me is an anonymous email from stamps.com. The story does not end well. I am near Chicago in Indiana scans ended with USPS three days ago just west of Chicago less than 50 miles away with no further scans. Hopefully G. Skill will get back to me.

Dear Customer

Glad to hear the memory worked well out of the box. This is one of the most popular DDR2 kits on NewEgg as it provides superb performance. With regards to your RMA, don't worry, we will make sure you receive good working RAM in your computer. Some times packages can take a little longer than expected especially during holiday season so we ask for your patience during this time. Rest assured that we will see through that you have G.Skill RAM that works flawlessly. For any questions or concerns, it is certain we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Perfectly

Pros: I just purchased two (2) more sticks of this memory to the match 4GB I used in an HTPC a few years ago (2009). The old memory is has been flawless for 5 years. I was amazed that it is still for sale.

Cons: DDR2 is too expensive. I paid less in 2009.

5 out of 5 eggsSome of the best

Pros: Out of stock maybe forever but is still running over clocked in my main gaming desktop in a Foxconn Destroyer mobo I built in 2008.If you ever had any issues with this DC 10600 ram just turn the juice up a tad until it's happy. I have never had any problems with it and my AMD black dual core Phenom 550 will still run this build on air with the
same 9800 GTX+ card and WD raptor at 3.9 ghz.Who would of ever thought ( me for one ) that this build would still be cranking out any fps this long ✌

Cons: None at all

5 out of 5 eggsRuns at DDR2 1066 beautifully

Pros: I never have issues pushing this past 1066 and even at 1066MHz it never hiccups.

Cons: None at all

Other Thoughts: I've had this for the past 4 years and still sitting pretty. Never have to worry about hitting a memory ceiling when over-clocking.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Memory

Pros: Great memory got it quick for DHL deliver put that in and runs great had trouble with motherboard didnt like all four slots being used but a quick BIOS update fixed that. Not too bad for the price got it to add on to my system that already had this in it cause I am running windows 7 64 bit and 4 Gig isn’t enough in my book I like to have 6 or higher so now I have 8 and im glade they still make this all years it cost about $55 in 2009.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Love G Skill never had a problem with them very reliable and good company I don’t think I ever had one die on me and I’ve been using them forever. I use them for basic computers and some gamming computers.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: good brand, good price, nice to see there are companies still out there selling DDR2 ram! i had ordered 2 of these kits sadly had to return them as my motherboard wouldnt function with them installed, nothing against the ram, just bad motherboard for that speed/voltage of ram

Cons: none for ram, but my motherboard just wont accept it no matter what settings, even had gskill and gigabyte try to help with no success

Other Thoughts: i will be getting 2 kits of the gskill ddr2 800 2x2gb just hope my motherboard will accept it.. just make sure your board can handle the 2.0/2.1 volts needed for the ram to function!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat product - Used 4-5 years

Pros: Good quality, CAS 5, Good heat control.

Cons: There is less expensive RAM

Other Thoughts: I used this on 2 builds. On both it worked fine and continues after almost 5 years. I would buy this for upgrades or even a new build. Good stuff.

5 out of 5 eggsWarranty replacement by newegg

Pros: With heavy use on Win 8.1 and photo rendering, computer would lock up, replaced under warranty and now computer screams with 8 gig running with quad processor. Beats many of the new pcs/tablets. Very happy.

Cons: One lousy bit with heat can make for screwy hang ups. Very rare as my other 4 gigs have worked beyond belief.

Other Thoughts: GSKILL kicks.

5 out of 5 eggsGood RAM

Pros: Bought 4 gigs back in 2009 and still using them today.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Back again, 5 years later to buy another 4 gigs to max out my board. I don't feel like building a new system just yet, so maybe this will allow me to put it off for another year.
