4 out of 5 eggs4 out of 6 worked for me

Pros: Price, performance

Cons: 1 pair didn't work in my motherboard. Returned it.

Other Thoughts: Replacement pair worked fine. Although I'd prefer the first 2 pairs worked out of the box, I am generally happy with these.

Manufacturer Response:

5 out of 5 eggsGood old Gskill ddr2

Pros: I bought this to match up with 2gb of Gskill memory i bought a few years ago I had been running with for a few years with no problems. This brings me up to 6gb.

Cons: The appearance of the outer casing is somewhat different then what my existing ram looks like. Trivial cosmetic issue.

5 out of 5 eggsG.SKILL

Pros: The first time I went to a 64 bit operating system was three years back, I went with windows 7 Professional 64 bit. I ordered G.SKILL

F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK
And it ran windows 7 pro. like a charm. For Three years and not one problem. I recently ordered another 4 GB in order to upgrade my system to 8 GB and I stayed with G.SKILL

F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: NONE

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Perfectly

Pros: Ran MEMTEST for 12 hrs...100% pass. Speed and timings were exactly as advertised. Stable since day one. Can't comment on overclocking capacity, never tried it on these sticks

Cons: None whatsoever

Other Thoughts: Have purchased G.Skill memory in the past and all of it still working. Comes with a lifetime warranty you'll likely never need.

5 out of 5 eggsReliable memory

Pros: Purchased a set of these 5 yr. ago for a new desktop I was building. Purchased another set a year ago to double my memory to 8 GB. No problems whatsoever while running at stock settings. Have not tried overclocking. Run it in dual channel.

Cons: Price when compared to DDR3. When I built my desktop, DDR3 was new and more expensive, so I opted for a MB with DDR2. Nowadays, can buy double the amount of DDR3 for the same cost.

Other Thoughts: Use my system for a number of often intensive tasks, including gaming (Metro 2033, Crysis 2, COD MW3, Mass Effect 3, etc.), CAD work, programming that often involves computationally-intensive calculations/simulations, etc. This RAM has reliably held up to everything I've thrown at it.

System specs (I know, it's becoming antiquated):
Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6850 Kentsfield 3.0GHz quadcore
GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3R LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel motherboard
G.SKILL 8GB (4 x 2GB) DDR2 1066 RAM
EVGA SuperClocked 02G-P4-3662-KR GeForce GTX 660 Ti 2GB GDDR5 video card
CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX850 V2 850W PSU
Two 500 GB 7200 RPM hard drives

5 out of 5 eggsG. Skill Memory

Pros: Well I built my PC three years back with an Asus Mother Board. I ordered G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK. Which the mother board specs recommended. I had never heard of G. SKILL yet decided to follow the recommendation. I will never regret it, This Memory has held up to windows 7 Professional like a real champ. Just 4 gig to run 64 bit windows with no problem at all. I am recently upgrading my system and as soon as I get my new Power Supply I will be ordering another 4 gig of G.SKILL and bring my system to 8 gig of ram. I am installing a few upgrades and The Memory will be G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: none
