3 out of 5 eggs1 was DOA

Pros: good, cheap memory, even overclocked it a little.

Cons: 1 stick was DOA, but G-skill RMA process is painless

Manufacturer Response:

.
Dear Customer

We apologize for the inconvenience. All G.Skill memory packages are tested before being placed in inventory. They are also randomly pulled and tested to insure quality control. Unfortunately DOA cases can still occur, which is why all of our memory packages are backed by a lifetime guarantee. If for whatever reason your memory is dead on arrival or becomes defective after a couple days, weeks, or years of use, we will exchange it with a new replacement without question. If you have any further questions or issues with your G.Skill memory package, please feel free to contact us directly and we will be more than glad to assist you.

Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsReally? You still sell these?!!

Pros: Ok, Been running 2 gigs of these in my old small gaming PC since late '07!! Just built my new rig with all the hotness so seen I never reviewed. Runs great, my office gets very hot in summer(very hot), these have always performed well. Battlefield 2, cod5, BC2 all run on mid to low settings and if you play these games mastafunk probably pwnd you with em.

Cons: N/A

Other Thoughts: my gaming rig was so low key; AMD Athlon 64 X2 4000+ Brisbane 2.1GHz Socket AM2+BIOSTAR TFORCE TF520-A2 AM2 MOBO + XFX GeForce 8600 GT 512MB GDDR2 Video Card+Western Digital Caviar Blue WD800JD 80GB 7200 HD -Bare Drive.
Over 3 years this really low-end system pwnd (cause I'm Ubber L33t ;)). Just dropped 2k on my new 1 here with all the hotness. With New-Eggs rep + History, I am not even worried, Ill be seeing you all in eyefinity!! So don't wait at this price, your only non-intelligent if you DON'T get them.

5 out of 5 eggsextra memory

Pros: Good ram for a good price. No errors reported, drop in and go.

Cons: None really

Other Thoughts: This is 5-5-5-15 memory for a very good price. My first time around with G skill,so we'll see how it holds up over time. I tend to hang on to my stuff well beyond it's normal end of life :)

5 out of 5 eggsAnother great find.....

Pros: Memory says it all. Well good memory from a good company I used to be really big with kingcrap. But the memory I use now for the past few years is pc3200 gskill. then now I bought the pc2 6400 and man memory tests pass with flying colors.

Cons: <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<NOT A CON>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
on my MSI k9mm-v motherboard i had to change a few things. the memory was not reading at ddr2 800 it was reading as ddr2 400. so i had to change it. Also changed the voltage .2 so the timings would be a little faster.

Other Thoughts: None great company. I bought 2 gigs of pc3200 and then my mom and step dad needed memory for there computer. and they bought 2 1 gig pc3200 for there computers. now i had to max my memory out on the pc2 6400 to 2 gigs.....but its ok. Later on i will make another system.

1 out of 5 eggsSo Far Disappointed

Pros: Nice looking

Cons: Unstable memory, system fails to start at different points in the boot process, the system at other times hangs up frozen. If it did load up WindowsXP it would flash an error screen too fast to read & then reboot. This would happen within 2 minutes. I tried to set voltage from Auto to 2.0 but no difference. I swapped the memory with a know good set I purchased from Newegg a few years ago and the problem followed the new G.Skill memory set. My new system ran stable with the old proven memory and my proven old system failed to boot up using the new G.Skill.

Other Thoughts: First time using G.Skill memory, I'll do an RMA replacement, hopefully the new set will work as expected and change my opinion of G.Skill, otherwise if it fails again I will not purchase this brand nor recommend.

Manufacturer Response:

.
Dear Customer

We are sorry to hear the memory is not working as promised. Please send it in for new replacements and the new set should work better. As long as the DRAM Voltage is set to 2.0V, you should have no problems. If you need further assistance or have any questions, please feel free to contact us directly.

3 out of 5 eggsG.Skill

Pros: delivery was great, packaging was excelllent.....

Cons: for some reason my ran is only runing @ 400Mhz not 800 like it says on the box...

Other Thoughts: Asus M2A-VM HDMI MOBO
not over clocked just stock I know it handles 800MHz speeds I have had another Asus M2A-VM mobo I just don't know what the problem is and I sure as hell dont want to RMA ;(

Manufacturer Response:

.
Dear Customer

DDR is double data rate, so if the effective frequency is DDR2-800, the real frequency is 400MHz. If you system is showing 400MHz, then everything is running just fine. You should have no problems with this kit, it is within standard, so it should be plug and play. If you have any further questions or issues, please feel free to ask.

Thank you
