Pros: OCZ, in my experience, has always made outstanding products. RAM has worked great and has accommodated a Windows 7 upgrade for my machine. Good stuff.

Pros: Decent price. Nice heatsinks. So far that's it.

Cons: Wont run at stated timings. Wont run at stated voltage. Not stable even with timings reduced to 6-6-6-18-26-2T, and vdimm at 2.2. Spent hours trying all kinds of configurations. Even got errors trying to run memory at 800 speed with some timings. Disappointed. OCZ used to be the brand I counted on for all my memory sets.

Other Thoughts: My other set of 2GB OCZ platinum are awesome. The run at stated timings even overclocked. Was hopping to get the same performance from a 4GB set but nope I could not even get em to run at their stock speeds.

Other Thoughts: Fix the form for the rebate, the label gets split at the bottom. No biggee, I'll write the address on there but the fact that you write: IMPORTANT - Envelopes without a proper label may not be delivered and processed.

That makes me a bit leary to write it on. But I don't have choice since your ruler must only go to 11 and 11.5

Pros: With discount and MIR good price. Verified that it was on MSI test report before purchased - It was as an OC so that is how I run it.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: More on the MSI side, main part of OC was a flip of switch but to get the memory to run at speed required BIOS setting change not well documented in manual. Trial and error untill it ran faster than 800.

Pros: These are a good set to use for windows 32 bit to get the most out of it.

Cons: NONE

Pros: Good RMA process through OCZ

Cons: One module of the dual channel kit was bad, RMA through OCZ was easy.

Other Thoughts: RMA'd through OCZ and had my approval within the week, sent it out the next day, and after 3 more days had a package on my doorstep which contained OCZ Reaper, so, I got a free upgrade!

Pros: faster than 8500......got all 8 gigs to work. I am not doing a RMA

Cons: Had to tweek bios to make 2nd pair of ram work without errors. set memory at 6-6-6-18 and moved volt to 2.2v. My first pair has worked flawless at 5-5-5-18 for the last 6 months. but i just bought a second pair and then I was getting memtest errors until i lowered the memory settings and raised the voltage.
3 eggs for alot of playing around to get the ram to work without errors.

Pros: Set the voltage @ 2.1, set speed @ 1066 manually and got auto timing that runs @ 5-7-7. I can already see the difference moving from previous ram kit (OCZ Reaper 800MHz) so didn't bother to push these more.

Other Thoughts: I had bad modules when I bought my first kit, decided to give OCZ another chance and now I am happy that I did.

It is a good idea to run prime95 for a day to make sure the stability of the system after a major upgrade such as ram. Also memtest86+ is wonderful little tool that can save you a lot of grief caused by bad memory modules.

Pros: Everything works as advertised. Had to manually set the timings and set the FSB to 444 to get to 1066, but that's more motherboard related.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Been kicking myself for not getting DDR2's earlier before the prices skyrocketed, but luckily these were affordable enough. Got them when they were $100 with $30 MIR.

To those complaining about rebates, I don't know what to tell you guys. Rebates usually take months, at least in my experience of signing up for them over the past few years. Not to mention, OCZ was kind enough to let me send my rebate a couple of days past the postmarked date and was accepted without questions asked.

Pros: The RAM is exactly what I needed to complete my AMD Phenom II X4 build. It compliments the system well and runs great.

Cons: Mail In rebates are a joke.

Other Thoughts: OCZ has quality items and I have been buying all OCZ PSU's and RAM over the last few years with no issues, ever.
