1 out of 5 eggsFast while it lasted

Pros: Extremely fast SSD.
Came with a bracket as well...
Very good price

Cons: Drive started to die after 2 months. Computer was freezing up at random times. HDTune verified very inconsistent read speeds (90-342 MB/s)

Other Thoughts: I have a very angry customer now wanting a full refund on a $1400 machine.

5 out of 5 eggsSo far, so good

Pros: Going strong for just over a year now. Reading/Writing are extremely fast which is to be expected from a solid state. I should mention that I use it for my OS and have a seperate hard drive for all other files/games. Boot times are extremely fast with Windows 8.

Cons: Wasn't free

5 out of 5 eggssweet jebus, fast drives

Pros: got rid of some junk OCZ drives, set FOUR of these bad boys up in a stripe raid. Sweet jebus, they are fast. I would recommend using a 128k stripe size for best performance.

Cons: still crazy expensive compared to standard spinning drives.

Other Thoughts: its not that OCZ is a bad company, their RMA processes is easy and friendly. I just talked to them too often with my old drives.

2 out of 5 eggs7 Months??

Pros: Very fast during its extremely short life span.

Cons: Bought this SSD 09/22/12, and it shot craps on 3/16/13. The funny part is I was just on my PC and had put it into sleep mode, then brought it back up not 20 minutes later to a Blue Screen of Death. After attempting to reboot it several times, I went into BIOS and noticed that it was not even being recognized. How is this even possible considering the only thing this SSD was used for was to house my Windows 7 Ultimate-64 and nothing more? Just started the RMA process with Mushkin. Will update upon RMA completion.

Other Thoughts: Mobo: ASUS Sabertooth Z77
Proc: Intel i5-2500k Sandybridge
RAM: 16Gig Mushkin Silverline
VID: EVGA 2Gig HD7870
PSU: Thermaltake 850W Bronze
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate-64

3 out of 5 eggsWarranty is good

Pros: I am one of the ones that gave this 1 egg because of the failure. Raising it to 3 eggs as Mushkin has a 3 year warranty on the SSD's, and after getting my old one, they have shipped a new one out to me. I'll put another review out there once I have it installed.

Cons: At this point, I'll hold off. Let's get the new SSD installed and running and I'll update this review then.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: Should be good, sounds good.

Cons: P8Z77 Asus did not read the drive, in any way shape or form in the bios. Plugged in a different manufacture, and it worked perfectly.

1 out of 5 eggs2 Million Hrs MTBF - Really?

Pros: if they believed the garbage they spew, (2M-Hrs, MTBF) they'd guarantee it for 30+yrs, not a few hours. How dumb can we be???

Cons: As a community, please lets start calling manufacturers on their junk stats - please. If MTBF isn't within 50% of the warranty, what's the purpose of one or the other? i.e. to make a big profit?
1 yr = 62 K Hrs MTBF
3 yr = 185 K Hrs MTBF
5 yr = 307 K Hrs MTBF
10 yr = 614 K Hrs MTBF

Other Thoughts: I can hardly believe that "Newegg" sells this junk. Really???

Pros: Worked very well while it was alive. Low price (at least when I got it).

Cons: Didn't even make it a year before going bad.
