3 out of 5 eggsNot 1066mhz...

Pros: Does what I need it to do.

Cons: Won't operate at the 1066mhz but only at the 800mhz.

Other Thoughts: I've not taken any action with Patriot to find the fix for this, but we all know that RAM is just one of those stick-it and forget-it upgrades, but not these!

Manufacturer Response:

3 out of 5 eggswishfull thinking

Pros: The heat sinks work as specified

Cons: refuses to work at 1066, only the default 800mhz, i flashed my motherboard bio but it didnt do anything. blue screens after 3mins running even at correct timing and voltage.

Other Thoughts: this is a side note, but i chose this ram rather then other ram that cost less, for the futuremark bundle. and despite trying to enter the code dozens of times it still says the number is already active. leading me to beleive someone somewhere along the way opened the box and re sealed it.... newegg ive bought thousands of dollars of stuff from ya and im getting burnt on software keys?

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We are extremely sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Please rest assured that all of our memory is backed by a lifetime warranty. Please contact support@patriotmem.com for troubleshooting tips. We'll be glad to look into the Futuremark issue for you and provide you a new code if necessary.

1 out of 5 eggsGarbage...

Pros: They lasted a couple weeks...

Cons: As my previous review stated the heat-sinks fell off which i fixed. When i got em the test was good no problems then i started getting blue-screens a couple days ago with the error MEMORY_MANAGEMENT so i did another test, failed in 1 min in...

Other Thoughts: I will never ever get patriot memory again, always G.Skill every memory chip Ive bought from them is still ticking to this day, and they have awesome customer support.

Cant believe i wasted $100 on this garbage...

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Damian Fick,

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Please be aware that we stand by our products and all of our memory is backed by a lifetime warranty. Please don't hesitate to contact support@patriotmem.com to get this replaced.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Memory

Pros: It works, it doesn't go boom.

Cons: Doesn't show up as the full 4 in 32-bit OS's (though I knew that already)
Doesn't make me food.

Other Thoughts: Be nice to it and the heatsinks won't fall off. Mine didn't.

4 out of 5 eggsGood so far

Pros: They look cool, Work at 1066 speeds AFTER you set it up in your BIOS.

Cons: Timings are stupid, 2-2-3-5??? What the heck? My motherboard cannot go any lower then 3 (Reading these from the instructions that came with it) So i set it to 5-5-5-15 which i believe what it was supposed to be have not had any problems so far.

Out of the box the heat spreader broke off... OUT OF THE BOX! Luckily i have adhesive strips and i put them back on but still this does not excuse Patriot for not putting them on correctly.

Other Thoughts: Used with a ASRock 775 Motherboard.

3 out of 5 eggsGood after replacing defective ones

Pros: Quick for DDR2. The added futuremark key is nice if you want to do some benchmarking

Cons: Installed and within a week both sticks had random drop outs. Ran TestMem+86 and found both sticks had massive errors.

Contacted Patriot, sent in my bad sticks and they sent me brand new ones pre-tested in a new box (along with another futuremark key)

RMA process could have been a little better, but the emails they send you are sufficient enough.

Other Thoughts: There's other options out there, but these look really nice and are pretty quick providing you don't get any defective units.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat memory

Pros: This memory is blazing fast and just what I needed to run windows 7 64 bit. With the mail in rebate this is some of the cheapest memory around, not to mention the futuremark 3D Vantage that comes with it. I've used patriot for some time now and they impress me still. Product quality is amazing in my opinion. Heat spreaders feel solid and look good.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Intel E8400 @ 3.00Ghz
EvGA Nvidia 8800 Gt dual slot
6gb ddr2 1066 patriot RAM

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: Very easy to install (as expected) and fast RAM for DDR2. I am very pleased to bad I can only do 800 MHz though because I have a socket AM2 processor, and only 3.25 because of XP. Curse you 32 bit OS!!!!!!!!!!

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsold man, gray hair

Pros: Ram expectations are as follows:

1. Plug in and it works at stated ratings
2. No blue screens
3. No freezes

This is all I ask, and this ram has delivered the goods. Detected initially at DDR800--Adjusted in Bios to 1066. Runs fine, and meets those three requirements outlined above. Passed memtest 86 and heavy ram testing in prime95

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: I purchased this ram for a super cheap AMD system I built to both use up old parts and, well, cause I wanted to. The most expensive part of this system is the ram, and I have no regrets. I have previously built out computers with all sorts of memory problems and was hesitant to try out this ram noting the poor ratings, but it worked out well. System specs are as follows:

1. Biostar A780L micro motherboard
2. AMD Athlon x 630 CPU
3. Thermaltake 500w PSU
4. EVGA 9500 GSO videocard
5. Tagan computer case
6. 500GB WD Caviar green HD
7. Asus DVD player (not even a recorder, just a player)
8. Patriot 4GB (2x2) 1066 Ram

Total cost just a tad under $300
