4 out of 5 eggsExcellent purchace

Pros: Great performance, heat spreader

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: Had to return them since one stick was DOA, but got the replacements faster than expected and the replacements worked just fine.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't waste your time

Pros: Heat Spreader
Great price

Cons: High incompatibility!!

Other Thoughts: This RAM failed to work in two different boards including one brand new. Received constant BSOD in both Vista and Windows 7. Once I removed this RAM, the systems worked great.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Value

Pros: Cheap. Nice heat spreader. Pretty green color.

Cons: This item occasionally has mail in rebates - which is great. However, the mail in rebate is a VISA "Gift Card", not a check. These cards are annoying, since it's hard to spend exactly the dollar amount since the rebate is pretty small. They want this of course; if you don't use it all within the given time period, they keep the difference. I hate that!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for Upgrade

Pros: Great memory upgrade for Dell Inspiron 530 Quad Core with FoxConn DG33M03 mobo. Documentation suggests that this board will only recognize 4 GB but I believe the Quad Cores will do 8 GBs. Upgraded system from 2 to 6 GB with this kit and it was immediately recognized by the bios. Running Windows 7 64 bit and memory performance jump from 5.9 to 7.1 and now matches the quad core processor. Definite noticeable improvement in performance. Paid $68 after rebate. Will upgrade to 8 GB if the price ever drops back down.

Cons: Price high but all memory has jumped in the last 4 months (reason ???) and Newegg is still the cheapest.

Other Thoughts: Already had 667 Mhz memory so for less money was able to upgrade to 6 GBs of 667 vs replacing with 4 GBs of 800 Mhz memory (my mobo max speed). I believe the extra memory more than makes up for the slight decrease in performance.

Pros: These modules work as expected, no problems so far. Nice heat spreader.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: since prices for ddr2 have went up these are the cheaper ones. you get what you pay for.

5 out of 5 eggsFunny Kit

Pros: -Got it for 49$.
-1 stick is 800mhz default. Overclock the other one to 800mhz
-Stable so far, Prime95 for 12hrs heavy mem usage.

Cons: -1 stick no serial #, year date and Rev # detected @ CPU-Z.

-Other stick just yyyyyrrz serial and no date and rev also.

Other Thoughts: Somehow Stable, it BSOD once for me with 1.8v. put it on 1.9v
No more BSOD.

2 out of 5 eggsGarbage

Pros: 1 of them worked.

Cons: However the other one didn't. With the other one in my computer the thing would go, go, go and then just die. So I ended up buying new components just to find out the ram was bad. It wouldn't be worth returning because of the return shipping charge.

5 out of 5 eggsJust works.

Pros: Works excellent for your average basic build. I have now been using wintec RAM modules off and on for over a year on my customer builds. In all that time I have had one bad module that went bad after a few months of being in use. Odd but oh well. It happens. Overall I have been very happy with them, and they are quite reliable for me.

Cons: RMA with Wintec on that one bad module was a bit slow, but after waiting awhile for my RMA, I gave up. Wasn't worth the hassle for one stick of RAM. Not the sort of RAM you want to overclock (hence the price)

Other Thoughts: I hope that maybe they had a bad batch of these or something that a few of the previous reviewers had encountered. If you just are doing a basic system build and aren't overclocking/overvoltaging these, you should be fine. Be sure to keep a memory testing program such as memtest handy and run it anytime you install new memory in a computer. Helps to prevent issues.

1 out of 5 eggsBUYER BEWARE, do not purchase

Pros: None

Cons: High unstable, high rate of failure, you'll spend weeks trying to get working ram and even then you'll never know. Spend a little bit more and get piece of mind. Trust me, if you don't, you'll just end up paying the restocking fee and ordering the more expensive ram any way.
