5 out of 5 eggsGreat quality Memory, does its job well....

This review is from: CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B

Pros: No errors, performs and over-clocks well. Mated up with msi 970A-G43 board, and FX- 6300 CPU, clocked at 4200mhz from the stock 3500mhz and doing great.

Cons: Not a con so much as a caveat... Watch your clearances, the heat spreaders are really tall.

Other Thoughts: Watch clearances, barely had space with my 880 LE mobo, and older 90mm Rosewill cooler. I just did upgrade to new msi 970A-G43 Plus (MS-7974) board, with 4 sticks of this RAM, and EVO 212 Cooler. Had to position it vertically because the ramsticks were too close and too high to clear the CPU cooler. Even then with sticks vertical, not enough clearance with fan attached, so i had to reverse the fan to the backside and set up as a puller, not a pusher. Originally my old mobo only had two slots for memory so I decided to get 8GB more for 16GB total, the blue was about 6 bucks less on sale than black, but thought contrast would be good. Well turns out the blue was a perfect match with the blue accents on the new black board i have. Looks good.

5 out of 5 eggsEasy set up

This review is from: CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B

Pros: Very easy to put in, works just fine with my kingston RAM i already have in, nice upgrade to get a total of 16GB. Does ask you to look over your BIOS when you first start up, but you dont have to change anything when you do, just exit out and you'll start up windows no problem.

Cons: none!

5 out of 5 eggsCORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)

This review is from: CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B

Pros: This memory is very fast. Everything seems quick. I am completely happy with it. It is stock voltage and runs very well.

Cons: If there is a con it would have to be that this is very tall. The heatsink gets way up there into the airflow. It could end up to make interference with some smaller motherboards when the slots are close to the processor. It can hit the heatsink. I had a problem with using the lower hard drive mounting position in a small case. The hard drive was in the way. I moved it up to the next spot and then it was all good.

Other Thoughts: I am a convert. This was not always my first choice for memory. I have been trying corsair memory recently and now will only look at that brand when shopping. It is just so fast. I may have to try the lower profile for some of the builds.

5 out of 5 eggsCorsair Vengeance - ROCKS!

This review is from: CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B

Pros: Corsair Vengeance - Rocks! I am long-time fan of Kingston Hyper-X though I decided to upgrade my system and, in this system, Hyper-X was not supported, there was a nice package deal from NewEgg (of course) for these Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) w/Intel Core i5-2400. So, after reading the reviews, I thought I would take a chance. And, I am nothing but pleased.

BASE SYSTEM UPGRADE: Coolmaster CM Storm, ASRock P67 Extreme 4 Gen3, Intel Core i5-2400 Sandy Bridge 3.1GHz (3.4GHz), & Corsair Vengeance 240 DDR3 SDRAM 1600 (2 x 4GB).

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: With ASRock P67 Extreme 4 Gen3, I wanted to note that I found seating these memory sticks in either of the dual channel channel memory configurations (either A1-B1 or A2-B2) resulted in the infamous 45 Error Code. I was able to install these sticks in A1 & A2; however, when you purchase dual channel, you want to use dual channel. In addition, it is noteworthy that the BIOS defaulted them to 1333 though it is easy enough to reset them at 1600.
