2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: When it worked, it worked fine.

Cons: Ran for less than 2 years

Other Thoughts: Ibuild my own computers. I built this last one on a budget and decided to go with this RAM because it was cheaper but the amount that I wanted for my system. The RAM failed after being used for less than 2 years. I

5 out of 5 eggsGood Ram

Pros: Great Ram! Better than I expected. I order 2 of the 8 GB
2 * 4GB Dual Channel Sets to put 16GBs in my RIG.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I've had dead sticks of this RAM. Then again at the time I didn't know much about computers. I likely messed them up on my own. Now I'm a little more tech savvy and I took all the precautions not to screw these up.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Worked out of box with no glitches. Motherboard recognized it immediately.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: This set was on the approved list and configuration for my motherboard. The previous 8 gig configuration I had wasnt on the approved list and I got frequent system lockups.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works, unbuffered ram that matches my other one. My replacement worked great.

Bundle ram is usually cheaper than single stick rams so if you need it, I would recommend getting it bundled.

Cons: First one I order had a bad stick of ram that kept crashing my computer and after running a memory check it said it failed. It said around 8mb of the ram was bad causing it to fail every test on the stick of ram.

Somewhat more expensive compared to other sticks of ram.

Other Thoughts: I highly recommend doing a memory test such as memory86+ or something before loading your operating system.

I wonder if I'll get the rebate as well.

1 out of 5 eggsStill disappointed...and now done

Pros: Corsair did replace them...sort of... see other thoughts.

Cons: Poor warranty service

Other Thoughts: This is an update to my 2/15/14 review. I did RMA the two sticks to Corsair. It took 3 plus weeks to get them back. Per the tracking number I had they were shipped from Taiwan. Corsair did not send me a new “kit”, which is what I originally paid for; instead they sent me two individual sticks. The timing’s are the same and they have been working for a few days now with no BSOD’s. The most annoying thing is they sent me two sticks that must have been “reconditioned”…all of my various monitoring and diagnostic “tools” show them having a date code of 2010!! Really??? I guess technically that is all they are obligated to do under the terms of the warranty….BUT I expected better from Corsair. My builds from here forward will be done with G.Skill or Crucial!!

2 out of 5 eggsDisappointed

Pros: Looks nice, feels like a quality stick of RAM. Doesn't get in the way of my CPU cooler.

Cons: Gave me random BSOD's just short of the 1 year mark.

Other Thoughts: I bought these because I thought Corsair meant quality RAM. Loaded my rig with 16GB (4x4GB) I started out with 8GB and added 8GB more a few weeks later. Right around Christmas I started getting random BSOD's. All sticks passed Memtest86 every time... and I ran it a lot. I replaced the video card and sprung for a new power supply etc. Still random BSOD's. Finally with nothing left to try I pulled out the original two sticks (8GB) of ram...it's now been over 2 months with no BSOD's.

5 out of 5 eggsso far so good

Pros: so far I have owned these for about a year and a half or 2... but so far they are still working, and hasn't messed up yet, I run WoW on ultra settings, althought it has more to do with it than this, it helps.

Cons: when I went to put 2 more sticks in it didn't work at all, so im pretty sure they weren't made to work 4x4GB style... even thought my I.T. teacher begs to differ

Other Thoughts: its 8GB of memory at a good price, nothing really to complain about
