Great memory using this at 800mhz since I have the FSB at 1600mhz, and I wanted to get that nice 2:1 ratio.

4 out of 5 eggsgood memory

Pros: good memory. no problems

Cons: runs better at 800Mhz. not sure why. little unstable at 1066. increased voltage ect. could be the motherboard. runs fine at 800 so i'll keep it there.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great for me

Pros: Motherboard: GA-UD3P-EP45.
CPU: E8400 OC'd to 4.05 GHz.

I'm not sure why there are people having problems with these modules when overclocking. As you can see above, I have my CPU OC'd fairly well and these modules run at 1080 (OC'd a tiny bit) with voltage set manually to the listed spec of 2.1.

Everything is completely stable. Prime95 for 24 hours and Memtest for 24 hours. No errors of any kind.

Cons: None - Work as advertised.

2 out of 5 eggsNot for me Corsair, thanks anyway!

Pros: It's RAM.

Cons: I've had this is my system for over a year and I am anything but impressed.

I paired it with an Asus P5Q-E board and Intel Xeon X3220 chip (Server badged Q6600 for you n00bs). First, it only detects at 800, not 1066. It's not the board, I checked with my new Mushkin RAM, it was perfect. Second, it does not overclock, period. I pushed my chip from 2.4 - 3.6 and had to keep underclocking the RAM so it would work (Increasing your fsb speed auto increases DRAM on my board) Had to keep it at 800mhz to keep from BSOD on start up. After WAY too much tweaking, I got it Prime95 solid for 24hrs. Not impressed. . .

My other machine running an Asus P5Q - Pro board and X3220 chip is using Mushkin 800. I have the chip pushed to 3.6ghz as well and the RAM overclocked to 500mhz. Seems kind of backwards to me when I do the comparison. This machine is also 100% Prime95 rock solid for 48hrs!

Other Thoughts: What else is there? Buy the 800, it costs less. This will leave you scratching your head, at least I am. Corsair is a great company, I have a 850w modular power supply running my gaming rig and it's top notch.

This RAM was not what I expected it to be. If you want 1066 and overclockability, buy Mushkin's 1066 Blackline series. It's pretty serious. Worth the money.

3 out of 5 eggsIt's OK

Pros: It is reliable, as long as you're OK with 800MHz.

Cons: It will not auto-detect at 1066, and at least for me, won't run at that speed either.

Other Thoughts: I've tried every trick I can think of, and I'd like to thank the other reviewers for posting about the voltage modification. However, I've got a total of 4 sticks from two separate batches in two different computers with completely different hardware, and neither set will run reliably at 1066 MHz in any configuration. One set will run once I get it to 1066, but the computer blue screens after no more than 10 minutes of operation. All four sticks did pass a 48-hour burn-in when auto-detected at 800MHz.

1 out of 5 eggsNO GOOD

Pros: Price

Newegg still gets 5 stars

Cons: Worked good for 2 days. 3rd day woke up turened on the computer and crash after crash. Tried all different bio settings and no good.Luckly new egg said I could return them and they would not charge the restocking fee.Waiting on some OZC now.

Other Thoughts: I had bought 2 dull channel kits of corsair dominator and after one week one stick went. Set the one set to them and the new ones wont work with the other original set. Tired setting them up in bios the 2 sets won't work together.Fine if you have the sets in separately.Done with Corsair. So have 2 good kits that won't work together.

Manufacturer Response:

Mixing 2 different sets of memory is often unstable as you have seen. However, this does not mean that each kit is not a good kit. We are sorry you had an issue. Please contact Tech Support and we'll try to assist you in getting 4 working modules that will place nice in your rig.

1 out of 5 eggsbad module

Pros: cheap memory.

Cons: I bought these from other source but one of the module stopped working in about 2 weeks of usage. After going through RMA from corsair which took about 20 days(1week shipping, 1 week processing, 1 week replacement shipping), got new modules.
I plunged them in and found out one of the module does not work.

Other Thoughts: My system works great with one of the 2gb module. but the other doesn't work and since I paid for 4gb not 2gb, would recommend to use other brand and regret my decision of buying this product.
