1 out of 5 eggsJunk

Pros: They make great coasters.

Cons: I bought these a few years back, I think 2 packs of 25. They didn't work then and they don't work now. This time around 10 out of 10 fail, usually just as the burn starts.

2 out of 5 eggsFORGET A WARRENTY

Pros: Reasonably inexpensive, but BD DISCS ARE EXPENSIVE

Cons: I you get a bad group forget about replacement unless you like paying shipping and going thru the garbage to retrieve bad discs. (one at a time)

1 out of 5 eggsPoor Longevity

Pros: None, anymore

Cons: Worked fine when first purchased at end of 2012. I burned about a half dozen discs when I first got these, then decided to use up my stock of 4x media first. I've been using the Optical Quantum brand almost exclusively since BD-Rs came out and they had never let me down.

Fast forward a couple of years, and my previously burned discs are no longer readable in two different Blu-ray players and two different BD burners (total of 4 devices). I still have about 15 blanks left, and now neither of my drives will even recognize them (I tried 5 different blanks and none of them were recognized, even those from the middle of the spindle).

So, I just dumped those 15 in the trash, and am going through my previously burned discs to determine which were on these 6x junk.

Just for the record, I know how to reasonably store discs, none of my 50 or so previously burned 4x Optical Quantums have failed after 2+ years, and none of handful of other brands have failed.

Longevity seems to be an issue -- the burned ones are stored in Blu-ray cases, indoors, and out of sunlight. The blanks were stored in a closet, along with other 4x blanks and a few other brand discs. None of the other brands or the 4x discs failed.

If you have used these, please do yourself a favor a check your data. If any of your discs start to stutter, etc. do yourself a favor and copy them to another disc. Maybe I just got a bad spindle, but I am never buying these again!

5 out of 5 eggsBest price

Pros: Great to get some solid blanks for a low price. Most stores are charging more.

Cons: Only single sided. Not Taiyo Yuden. But what should you expect for the price.

1 out of 5 eggsWould record only 12 GB or messed up

Pros: If would've worked

Cons: I bought these when 1st came out & a BR Samsung Burner but didn't use it until maybe 2 yrs. later, just recently. Also had pk of Roswill BD-r & they all worked, but both 25 pks of Quantum would only burn IF less than 13 GB's. Any more & exact same spot on every disc would say couldn't find write address, etc.

Other Thoughts: It seems a lot of media has good & bad batches, so is hard to predict or count on.

5 out of 5 eggsReturned it because of compatibility issues but high rating for customer service

Pros: 25 25gb discs

Cons: Doesn't work with my burner

Other Thoughts: AMAZING RETURN SERVICE! I ordered Optical Quantum BD-R during a newegg sale and when I got it I realized that it wasn't compatible with my existing dvd burner (only worked with DVD-R) although it was my fault that I didn't research about BD-R beforehand and just bought it because it was a great deal (20.99 for 25 gb BR disc) at the time and thought it would work. Anyways, I was able to return it due to the iron-egg guarantee. But then they just replaced the BD-R instead of actually refunding it a month later.

When I got the package I was surprised and kind of mad because the iron egg guarantee guaranteed a "hassle-free" return process. I also stated in the RMA notes that I wanted to return it because it didn't work with my computer and that I would buy DVD-R disc after I returned it instead (Which I did). I called the customer service line and was able to explain my situation.

At first the customer service person was quite skeptical about the return and asked for pictures of the cd which I in turn sent. The customer service person said that their supervisor said that it looks like the package was crudely taped. I was astonished and mad because I got the package in this form. When I told them that I received it this way the customer service rep said that they will refund my $20.99 and let me keep the disc.

Even though I can't use these disc I give the customer service a 5/5 and the disc a ?/5 because I can't use them.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Discs

Pros: Good media at this price point.
Outstanding customer service, that actually help the customer.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Love the 50Gig Discs, as I no longer have to reduce the original media size.

1 out of 5 eggs100% Failed on two different drives

Pros: None. None of the disks I tried worked.

Cons: None of the disks worked. I bought a drive and these disks over a year ago anticipating needing them. About 6 months ago I tried one and it failed to burn. Recently, I moved the drive to another computer. Failed. I tried another disk again yesterday, FAILURE. I went out and bought a new drive due to bad reviews on the drive itself as well as a new batch of disks. The Verbatim disks worked on my old drive. The Optical Quantum disks still did not work, even on the new drive.

Every time I try to write, ImgBurn fails to "write the lead-in".

Don't buy these!!

Other Thoughts: Don't buy these. You get what you paid for - ripped off.

1 out of 5 eggsBad BD-R

Pros: This lot=NONE

Cons: The entire spindle is bad, I have been using OQ's for a long while, the 4x packs, and then these 6x LG's came avail and I thought I would be safe with them, I was WRONG as of 25 disks I have had 24 failures.

Other Thoughts: I tried a couple different methods of burning and a couple different programs that I have always had excellent results with and the result has been the same, either they fail to finalize or ImgBurn reports at the fail point that the disc is incompatible. consistently bad

1 out of 5 eggsFluke DOA Spindle??

Pros: Cheap. Usually work just fine.

Cons: This set (6x not 4x) labeling looks degraded and after only burning 5 bd-rs the rest of the spindle aren't even able to be used. Not my drives fault. Using ImgBurn just fine with other types/brands of media including BD-RE and BD-R at 8x. DOA...

Other Thoughts: Requesting the replacement of this particular lot for the exact same order.
