In today's power hungry world you need a PSU that can feed your thirsty graphic cards and the RV2-700 from Rosewill does. With 700W of total output power there's plenty of juice for the most demanding situations. Dual 12V rails with 28 amps of power provide plenty of independent, reliable power.

Universal motherboard connectivity is ensured with the 20+4 main connector and 4+4 pin ATX12V/EPS12V connector.

All this is enclosed in a flat black housing with multitudinous ventilation holes and a 120mm cooling fan. You're protected from over current/voltage/power conditions, while Voltage Protection and Short Circuit Protection provide maximum safety to your critical system components.

2 out of 5 eggsWould not buy again.

Pros: While it lasted, it was decently quiet and efficient. It was used on a system which was used primarily for gaming.

Cons: It did not last as long as even a typical OEM PSU. The OEM HP (which, as far as specs go, was inferior) lasted three years to this PSU's 2.5 years. The unit has been outputting inconsistent voltage resulting in spikes and insufficient amounts of power, causing the system to restart erratically. After taking this apart, the problem was apparent. The unit itself runs hot, the coils inside are wrapped very poorly with large gaps, and capacitors are on their way out. It's dying. It is not overworked nor is it lacking a proper cooling system.

Other Thoughts: Invest in a quality brand.

5 out of 5 eggsDecent PSU

Pros: Good power supply, I have a moderately powerful computer and it worked excellently and providing the power needed.

Cons: This PSU is just starting to die on me after lasting since the Christmas of 2010, to the new year of 2013. Decent lifespan, but still relatively sad considering my brother's has lasted him almost 5 years.

5 out of 5 eggsHeatless-Powerful-Quiet PSU!

Pros: Used for gaming, for 2 years.

This PSU for 700W can definitley do a lot!! I have full RAM slots (1.5V), a powerful CPU, a 6pin graphics card, 2 HDDs, etc etc and it still runs QUIET and heat free! The fan on top really cools it down, and the cables are very secure.

Cons: One problem i had was that the 24pin cable wouldn't reach from the bottom to the top of my case (for wiring organization), but thats nothing that cant be fixed without an extension! :)

Other Thoughts: Overall a great PSU for the money. I heavy game every day and this thing just sends out the power no problem.

1 out of 5 eggsrsitze

Pros: None

Cons: Piece of junk

Other Thoughts: ordered for stock, installed in a high performance gaming machine.
Intermittent blue screens. Went through two motherboards and processors. Finally pulled my head out of my other end and (as I should have done much earlier) pulled out my oscilloscope and checked power. +5 was at the very low end of specs with very intermittent positive spikes. I trusted the Roswell name too much.
Typical TSR power supply failure. Money down the drain.

2 out of 5 eggsWorked for 18 months.

Pros: The price was nice, I really liked the mesh sleeves over the cables. The mesh made the cables organized and easier to slide through holes leading to the back of the case. The PSU lasted almost 2 years and when it did work it worked well.

Cons: Cons: it died before 2 years of use. But really thats the only con I can say.

1 out of 5 eggsShort lifespan

Pros: Good output while it lasted

Cons: Had it in my system for somewhat over half a year. Suddenly started restarting after a few minutes of use. At first i suspected the motherboard but finally linked it to the psu. The cooler master i had before lasted well over 6 years of constant use before needing replacement. This one is not reliable.

4 out of 5 eggsDoes the job, poor build quality

Pros: The amount of maximum watts is more than enough of what my PC needs.
It does the job.

Cons: The thing that upsets me is the build quality of this.

The 4-pin connectors have loose wires in them. This is a bit of a nuisance when you're spending about 20 seconds just to get one wire plugged together.

Other Thoughts: If you have the patience to connect 4-pin connectors to one another and you don't care about having a non-modular power supply, this will do the job for you.

My next power supply will definitely be modular and of a better build quality.

1 out of 5 eggsRandom shutoffs

Pros: Works fine when it wants to.

Cons: Worked when i first bought it. then it had 3 month warranty and on 4th month it starts random shutoffs. Go figure. I paid $65 for it and it was a waste.

Other Thoughts: Value series is one to stay away from.

1 out of 5 eggsSucks!

Pros: Received it late February 2011. Plugged it in, partnered with a new MSI motherboard and quad-core AMD CPU and it worked fine, although NOT as silent as the add would make you believe.

Cons: Early February 2012, my computer starts shutting down after just 10 minutes of operation. Multiple tests to track problem... Finally, plug in an old 350W power supply out of a decade old case and, what do you know, the computer runs fine. This power supply was not operating a full-year, but more than a year since ordered. Had been in a FULL sized case with extra fan and ventilation. NO EXCUSE to wear our so quickly.

Other Thoughts: I will think twice before I buy anything from Rosewill again.
