In today's power hungry world you need a PSU that can feed your thirsty graphic cards and the RV2-700 from Rosewill does. With 700W of total output power there's plenty of juice for the most demanding situations. Dual 12V rails with 28 amps of power provide plenty of independent, reliable power.

But, as in all things, being well connected is of major importance, and sprouting from the housing are a multitude of mesh wrapped cables to connect all your components. The mesh sleeving on all cables keeps things neat and helps to promote better airflow and cooling. This SLI ready PSU has dual PCI-e connectors. Universal motherboard connectivity is ensured with the 20+4 main connector and 4+4 pin ATX12V/EPS12V connector.

All this is enclosed in a flat black housing with multitudinous ventilation holes and a 120mm cooling fan. You're protected from over current/voltage/power conditions, while Voltage Protection and Short Circuit Protection provide maximum safety to your critical system components.

  • newegg ATX12V and EPS12V Compatible Compatible with the ATX12V (ATX 2.3) and EPS12V standards, the Rosewill RV2-700 provides maximum power stability to drive the latest Intel and AMD processors as well as other components for desktop and server computers.
  • newegg 700W Maximum Power A maximum power of 700W delivers safe, reliable output for high-end PC systems. Dual industry-leading independent +12v rails are provided for more stable and safer power output.
  • newegg Intelligent Black Cable Sleevings The Rosewill RV2-700 power supply's cables are wrapped in black mesh sleevings to optimize air flow and improve cooling in the case.

2 out of 5 eggsDied after 2 years

Pros: Did what it was suppose to do (provide stable power) while it lasted.

Cons: Died after 2 years. It didn't stop working completely, which would have been much better, instead it would cause the system to bluescreen after 5-10 minutes. I spent a lot of time troubleshooting whether it was the motherboard, processor, drives etc., and in the end replacing the power supply did the trick.

Other Thoughts: Power supplies should last longer than 2 years under light use! This one only has a 1 year warranty, so I shouldn't be surprised. Purchased a different brand with a longer warranty.

5 out of 5 eggsEcellent PSU

Pros: Life long performance. Enough cables and cable length to get the job done. Reliability, Very cheap cost for performance.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I've been pushing this card for 3 years now and she still fires up everyday. For the last 3 months i've been pushing 4.5 Ghz on an AMD fx8320, and running an AMD R9 290. The thing just wont quit.

2 out of 5 eggsWould not buy again.

Pros: While it lasted, it was decently quiet and efficient. It was used on a system which was used primarily for gaming.

Cons: It did not last as long as even a typical OEM PSU. The OEM HP (which, as far as specs go, was inferior) lasted three years to this PSU's 2.5 years. The unit has been outputting inconsistent voltage resulting in spikes and insufficient amounts of power, causing the system to restart erratically. After taking this apart, the problem was apparent. The unit itself runs hot, the coils inside are wrapped very poorly with large gaps, and capacitors are on their way out. It's dying. It is not overworked nor is it lacking a proper cooling system.

Other Thoughts: Invest in a quality brand.

5 out of 5 eggsDecent PSU

Pros: Good power supply, I have a moderately powerful computer and it worked excellently and providing the power needed.

Cons: This PSU is just starting to die on me after lasting since the Christmas of 2010, to the new year of 2013. Decent lifespan, but still relatively sad considering my brother's has lasted him almost 5 years.

5 out of 5 eggsHeatless-Powerful-Quiet PSU!

Pros: Used for gaming, for 2 years.

This PSU for 700W can definitley do a lot!! I have full RAM slots (1.5V), a powerful CPU, a 6pin graphics card, 2 HDDs, etc etc and it still runs QUIET and heat free! The fan on top really cools it down, and the cables are very secure.

Cons: One problem i had was that the 24pin cable wouldn't reach from the bottom to the top of my case (for wiring organization), but thats nothing that cant be fixed without an extension! :)

Other Thoughts: Overall a great PSU for the money. I heavy game every day and this thing just sends out the power no problem.
