5 out of 5 eggsMore is better

Pros: It works. It allowed me to add eight 4 TB drives to my pc. The transfer speeds are adequate, though not mind blowing. Generally around 90 mb/s overall for large file transfers (60gb to as high as multiple TB at a time). It has never given me any trouble and was a simple plug and play device in my case.

Cons: I won't knock off an egg for this because it is most likely just the nature of the beast, but it has extended my boot time from roughly 45 seconds to a few minutes.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Cable

Pros: Well constructed and easily maneuverable. The braided sheath looks so clean. Each endpoint SATA was numbered which was a nice unknown perk!

Cons: None!

3 out of 5 eggsSata 2, not 3...

Pros: They work.

Cons: They're SATA 2, not SATA 3. After digging around I finally found out why my SSD's were so slow. I found an image saying "SATA 2" on highpoint's website for these cables. That's basically the only location to find out what speed they are. Pretty much all of the SFF-8087 cables are SATA 2 on newegg and they don't advertise their speeds. Look elsewhere if you want 8087 (36 pin SAS to SATA) SATA 3 speed cables.

Other Thoughts: Don't buy if you're using SATA 3 SSD's. You'll get bad speeds with these SATA 2 cables.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: Ordered 4. They are high quality cables and none of them had data transfer faults. What more could you ask for?

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: These can be quite long if you don't have a cable management minded case.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks exactly as it should

Pros: Plugged one of these into my HightPoint 2720SGL, connected four SSD Sata3 drives, and it worked.

Cons: Perhaps I could complain that the point-to-point technology for SAS / SATA isn't wireless? But that's hardly a manufacturer's fault, is it?

Other Thoughts: I love SSD RAID!

4 out of 5 eggsReally Long Cables

Pros: These cables are very well constructed, labeled and include a braided cover. The cables are close to 30" in length which is great if you have a large case (I don't). Nice solid locking mechanisms, you can hear a good "click" when it engages.

Cons: Cables are about 30" in length so it becomes challenging to hide them in a smaller Micro AXT or Mini-ITX case (nearly impossible in this application)

5 out of 5 eggsnice but long

Pros: very nice cables, flexible near the connector so it works well in tight areas.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: wish they had the same one half the length.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect

Pros: Works perfectly. Better yet, the quality of the cables and sleeving job is top-notch. Just the length I need since it works very well in my full tower Tagan (a/b/s) Black Pearl case. This has great clips on the ends with a very even, lay-flat fan-out and numbered ends. What more could I ask for in a SAS to SATA fan-out? (I don't like the power attached styles of other fan-outs as it's too messy).

Cons: Price is a little high, but it's still reasonable for a quality cable that you won't find in retail stores.

Other Thoughts: This fan-out is sleeved with the same black sleeving you would get for custom PC sleeving jobs. I have the cable running from my second PCI-Express slot (RocketRaid 2680), around my first full-length, double-slot video card, along my motherboard power cable, and down into the lower compartment of my case where my drive bays are. And I still have a little slack. Needless to say: these are long enough for any PC case! I've ordered a second just now to move both of my RAID arrays over to an RR 2680.
