Based on the Intel C602 chipset, the SUPERMICRO SSG-6027R-E1R12N server barebone is a high-end server that supports dual state-of-the-art Intel Socket R (LGA 2011) Xeon CPUs and up to 768 GB DDR3 ECC Registered memory, delivering stunning computing power to blaze through your most demanding applications. Four PCIe 3.0 x16 slots (1 in use), one PCIe 3.0 x8 slot and one PCIe 3.0 x4 (in x8) slot provide substantial I/O bandwidth for current and future needs. 4x Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports enable bottleneck-free data transfer.

Good Luck With Warranty
Pros: Price Kind of.
Cons: Screen just goes black and the machine is locked up. Reinstalled server 2012 3 times. Supermicro Tech support wouldn't help me because I used Kingston recommended memory (sold at newegg) instead of Supermicro tested memory (which isn't sold at newegg). I am 6 days past the 30 day mark so I cant send it back to newegg. All items total about $6000 and now I have to order another $700 for memory somewhere else so it will be Supermicro tested memory... So when it doesn't actually fix the problem, well... at least they can't deny support of it due to memory. Any money saved by buying Supermicro barebones was more than lost just on memory. Newegg not supporting RMA past at 37 days on this server is unacceptable. Even if switching the memory that Kingston says will work for the tested memory from supermicro, even if this does fix it, I still set with $800$600 of memory that I'm sure Newegg won't take back either. Then what, goto Kingston for support? I am learning a hard lesson and with Supermicro support being what it is and Neweggs 30 day and your dumped policy I am sure I will never build out another bare bones server again. I will go to Dell or HP and get the Warranty and support I deserve for $6 grand!
Other Thoughts: Machine is listed as Windows server 2012 compatable, but the drivers for the Raid Controller aren't available from supermicro for this OS.
