5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I've had this video card for 4 months now, and it works great.

Cons: I didn't even bother trying to install the drivers from the disc. I just went to the AMD website, and downloaded them from there.

4 out of 5 eggsBest Bang for the $

Pros: Price, efficiency (heat and power), size, DX11

Cons: Drivers

Other Thoughts: where is the competitor from Nvidia?

2 out of 5 eggsShoddy.

Pros: uhm...it works, sorta.

Cons: have had this video card now for about 2 and 1/2 weeks and i'm beginning to notice artifacts and pixelated miscolorings in videos and pictures. My old video card did this same thing after about a year of owning it (different brand) and then 2 weeks later completely died. As far as quality outside of this, i wasn't too impressed either. My old video card, Nvidia GeForce 8600, which statistically isn't AS GOOD as this one, looked better. When i ran Aion (an online MMO game) with this Powercolor video card, even at highest settings i noticed it would blur textures of rocks and mountains in the areas i was fighting (i'm not talking far away - very close to my character)...and there was not a lot of action at all going on on screen.

Other Thoughts: i'm going to be contacting newegg to get this replaced with a different video card soon, hopefully before this card dies too.

Manufacturer Response:

The problems about blurriness or artifacting could be due to heat. Either way, feel free to e-mail me, I'd like to find out more information. I can certainly try to help you with this problem also. My e-mail is hugo@powercolor.com. Thanks.

5 out of 5 eggsLots of bang for the Buck

Pros: Maybe 2x more powerful than my old 9600gt. Small and more energy efficient.

Cons: Drivers, updates, don't install as smoothly as Nvidias on my Vista operated system

Other Thoughts: Item arrived quickly and well packaged as always from Newegg. Rebate arrived within 6wks, as expected. Crysis runs noticeably better on my Dell XPS 420 with my E8400 running at stock speed(unable to overclock). and 3gb ram. Went from 10*7 to 12*10 with settings from high to a mixture of high and very high(shadows, physics, Effects on high) and motion blur off. FPS at much more playable levels. Probably my CPU acting as a bottle neck.

4 out of 5 eggsNot as good as i thought

Pros: Runs most games at full settings
Price

Cons: Slow frame rate in STREET FIGHTER IV when settings are maxed out (run game with no AA and Default texture if using this card). Other games i have work just fine.

Other Thoughts: ASUS M4A79XTD EVO
PHENOM II X3 720 BE
ATI RADEON HD5770 512MB
4 GB RAM
SEAGATE 7200.12 320GB
THERMALTAKE 750W PSU

5 out of 5 eggsLoving it...

Pros: ~Runs almost everything at max.
~Fits in any Mid Tower case.
~Not so power hungry.
~Temperatures don't get so high.
-While playing Just Cause 2 gets in the 60s while running all settings on High and others in the Very High with AA X4 and Filter at x16.

Cons: ~Got some wavy lines when the temperatures got to the 50s and 60s C. Although turning on AA at any level removes them completely. Probably driver issues.

Other Thoughts: It's what I wanted and expected. Runs L4D's 1 and 2 max at 75FPS with a AMD II X2 250. Also runs Modern Warfare 2 max and Just Cause 2 on High settings all at a 1440x900 resolution.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat upgrade

Pros: Easy install. Up & running quickly with no fuss.
Fast graphics card, my bottleneck is now the CPU - new one on the way!

If you're looking for a budget upgrade to top-flight graphics, this is the card for you. It may not be CrossFire compatible, so check & verify that if you plan further upgrades.

Cons: Minimal hard copy documentation.

Other Thoughts: 512MB GDDR5 RAM. Would love to have a full Gig here, but for the price I'll suffer with it.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect for what I need

Pros: Its cheap and runs DX11. Waaay better than any gts 250! Good stock clock already, dont need to overclock yet. Considering that movies are played at 24 fps I think gaming at 60 fps is just fine.

Cons: None so far. I was worried about quality initially so i bought the extra year warranty. Now I'm not so sure I need it.

Other Thoughts: My goal was to build a LGA 1366 pc for under $700 and I did it. Got this on sale and it was perfect for my build. build scores 17000 in pc mark. Oh and this system is an i7 930, HD 5770, P6T, 300gb raptor, 6gb 1800 ram. It can game while being powered by a 460 watt coolermaster. all you R-t*rds with 1200watt psu's I lol@you. I am buying a 750w just for overclocking stability though, and the addition of another 5770!

1 out of 5 eggsCard failed in one week

Pros: Card performed like a champ for about 6 days. It was performing at 60 fps on WOW at ultra setting. This card was installed on machine i purchased from ibuypower.

Cons: It failed after about 6 days and replacement is being shipped. Screen went blotchy and froze and then when computer rebooted just got blue screen data dump. I know video card failed because when i disabled it the computer would boot fine. Uninstalled all driver software and reinstalled. Restored computer to earlier date. Nothing worked so it is the card.

Other Thoughts: I would probably opt for xfx 5770 for not much more money. Considering buying one and using the replacement Powercolor card as a backup.
