5 out of 5 eggswell it is a 780

Pros: no hassle , just set it at max and forget.

Cons: The first one I got started getting graphical glitch after a few days had to RMA

Other Thoughts: Playing final fantasy 14 on 3 screen in a window and works fine. Slight performance hit but probably more due to game engine optimization than anything else.

5 out of 5 eggsIt's great, but no overclock

Pros: It's cool, it's fast, and its cheap(ish).

Cons: The overclocking software isn't compatible with Windows 8. The overclocking software from other companies doesn't work well with this GPU. My games lag when I tried to use other software.

Other Thoughts: This card is great, if you don't want to overclock.

1 out of 5 eggsBad Nvidia Customer Service

Pros: Gigabyte makes a great card. Works just fine

Cons: Buyer beware! The game codes that come with these cards have expiration date printed in tiny, tiny print. I would have never thought that a Steam or Origin key-code to a game would "expire" and now Nvidia refuses to honor my game codes.
Will be buying and recommending ATI for now.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card, cool and fast

Pros: Has yet to go over 62c with benching and hours of gaming. Going to this from a 7950 (profit sell) is like day and night and no change at all in the power bill. Picked this card up on sale at $480 only 155 of that was out of pocket. Every game/bench I have tossed at it has been eaten alive by this cards power.

Cons: Can sound like a med sized box fan but never gets that loud unless I set the fan to 100%

Not really a con since this issue worked its self out:::
When the card was 1st plugged in one of the caps had a whine that caused me much worry but worked its self out after looping valley for an hour to break the card in.

Other Thoughts: I am only playing games on a 60Hz monitor for the moment, my Asus VG248QE will be here tuesday and I will do another review to let you know how this card handles 144hz.

5 out of 5 eggsAbsolute beast

Pros: This is my first time reviewing, but figured it was worth to let people know this card is worth buying

I had ordered a Gigabyte 770 OC 4GB version before this and was pretty amazed with the results. But they weren't quite as high as I had hoped for the money. So I went ahead and ordered the 780 GTX with intent of selling my 770 within the next week. I slapped the 780 in this morning, and WOW! It has blown my mind. I ran the Fire Strike benchmark, and the 780 scored a 9506 compared to the high end gaming computer score of 9131. My 770 benched at 7411. Needless to say, I'm very impressed. I ran Assassin's Creed IV with everything all the way up except the AA - which I had set to FXAA. HIghest I think is MXAAx4 or something. With all up, including V-Sync (I hate screen tearing), My PC played AC4 with little to no lag. The little lag was the same as if you're playing xbox 360 or xbox one, and your system hesitates for a moment and smooths out. So not bad at all. And yes, the graphics on AC4 are phenomenal, very nice

Cons: No cons as of yet.

Other Thoughts: My system is:
Corsair 600T mid tower case
16 GB of Corsair Vengeance RAM
Intel Core I7 2600K 3.4 GH with turbo adjusted to 4.6Ghz
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 780 overclocked
1000 Watt Corsair PSU

ALL on Air, and lots of it

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card

Pros: Cool, quiet and fast.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Been running for a month on mild overclocks (+150 core, +200 mem) and have not yet run into a GPU related issue.

Also, I upgraded from a 680 (already pretty big), and found that the 780 is at least a finger width longer than the 680 and barely fit in my case.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Card - Just have the latest MB BIOS!

Pros: Pros: Makes a huge difference on a 2560x1600 monitor, especially with a working PCIE 3.0 bus (which means the latest i7 22nm process CPUs). With PCIE 3.0 enabled and an Ivy Bridge-E CPU, Metro Last Light is actually playable at 2560x1600.

Cons: If you have a Sandy Bridge-E CPU and an X79 Chipset based motherboard, this card will not default to PCIE 3.0 because NVidia has limited the speed. You need a latest revision Sandy Bridge-E or Ivy Bridge-E CPU to be able to use PCIE 3.0 with this (or any newer) NVidia GPU. Note that with a later revision Sandy Bridge-E CPU (we're talking about the 6 core CPUs here) you need to run a special program from NVidia to FORCE PCIE 3.0 support. Earlier model Sandy Bridge-E CPUs are not stable in PCIE 3.0 mode. With an Ivy Bridge-E CPU it just works. With 4k HD displays there is a serious improvement with PCIE 3.0, otherwise, it doesn't matter as much; see the "other thoughts"

Other Thoughts: The deal is this. All of the people in this review series that are complaining about 780GTX not working in their system are really having a problem with the BIOS on their main boards. Especially Gigabyte users, and X79 chipset users were very hard hit. If the PCIE bus was not set to LEGACY mode for the PCIE ADD-IN BIOS boot order, then you have to put ANOTHER video card in the system, change the BIOS settings, and put the 708GTX back in the computer. (I had to do this as I upgraded from an HD7970.) Recently, the BIOS updates have started to flow, but it took a while for many of the vendors to fix this.

Pros: Awesome product. Runs surprisingly silent and cool for such a monster of a card. Performance is out of this world. Build quality also feels great.

Cons: None so far.
