1 out of 5 eggsIt was good until.

This review is from: GIGABYTE GV-N770OC-2GD GeForce GTX 770 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready WindForce 3X 450W Video Card

Pros: Worked fine till it froze one night.

Cons: I was gaming one night. put my computer to sleep. Woke up and it was frozen. I restarted it. Just past the windows logo, it froze and restarted. Wouldnt boot normally. I went in through safe mode, reinstalled windows, drivers, cleaned drivers, everytime it was the same thing. Only would boot up with standard vga drivers and soon as i installed drivers it would not work. Removed the card, booted up with the APU. I dont have another video card. Who do i talk to, or how do I RMA

Other Thoughts: This is a big paper weight

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome card

This review is from: GIGABYTE GV-N770OC-2GD GeForce GTX 770 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready WindForce 3X 450W Video Card

Pros: -High core speed (it goes up to 1250 without overclock, it actually auto-overclock)
-quiet (youcan hear it but not much)
-the cooling system is very good, with battlefield 4 on ultra it stays around 50 degree celcius
-awesome price for the quality (i got it when at 330$ with a discount)

Cons: -kind of big, you better check too make sure it fits in your case.
-Not the best on the look, i don't really care abouth it but i know some people do.
-the power cable that comes with it looks a little, personnaly i used the ones that came with my power supply.

Other Thoughts: I think this card is a good investment, it is fast, can run any game on the best graphics setting, should last a pretty long time. if you use multiple screen i would recommend that you get a 4gb vram card, if you are like me and you got 1920/1080 it will be good and i think it can handle at least up to 1920/1200.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat card

This review is from: GIGABYTE GV-N770OC-2GD GeForce GTX 770 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready WindForce 3X 450W Video Card

Pros: Fast card. I got this at the $320 price point. I'm coming from 2 R7850s crossfired to this card and not seeing all that much of a performance boost but it does run most games smoother. I bought the R7850s for about 150 each a year ago and then sold one for $170 and the other for $140, subtract shipping & seller fees and I had to pay about $40 to get the Gigabyte 770 OC'd. It was a perfect transition because I was having problems in some games with scaling and other just didn't support crossfirex at all, It was frustrating for sure.

Pros:

This card is quiet, cool and powerful. It looks good to. It is really all you would want in a graphics card. It locks in 60FPS on Arma3 ultra settings and has no problem with any of my other less intense games.

Cons: Not really a con but know that this card is big and heavy. I think they could've done something more with the fan housing as it is much larger than the PCB on which its mounted.

Was skeptical when switching from MSI to gigabyte because I really loved my MSI AMD cards and they OC'd so well but this card really holds the reigns over that setup. I haven't gone past the factory overclock and really have no need to at this time.

Other Thoughts: I try to buy AMD over Nvidia but the mining craze really drove up the prices on the comparable AMD cards. I can't complain because I did get the best product at the best price.

5 out of 5 eggsThe Gentle Giant

This review is from: GIGABYTE GV-N770OC-2GD GeForce GTX 770 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready WindForce 3X 450W Video Card

Pros: First I cannot say enough good things about this card!
It will play everything you can throw at it on Ultra!
It has three fans. It runs QUIET!
It runs COOL!!
I bench-marked in 3d Mark 11 in the top 150(Overall!) in 2 outta three categories! UN-OVERCLOCKED!
This is a highly stable, HIGHLY COMPETENT GPU!
Its either this or upfgrade to a GTX 780.
For the price and the coolness; nothing touches this 3-Fan cooled beast!

Cons: Size! This thing is a huge card. weighing in around 2lbs!
I almost wanted to add some kind of support.
I bought the Antec 300 Illusion case. (18"x8.5"x18")
And it DID NOT FIT!!!
This card is over 11.5 Inches!
Luckily I planned on busting out the tin-snips for this baby. And I had too!
On a side note:
This card does not like anti aliasing. And only benefits from V-Synch in some games.
And when I tested it in Heaven, It worked better the harder I pushed it?
I mean what card does that!..?!

Other Thoughts: Other then the size and not having a protective back plate I cannot complain.
The back plate is not really an issue with me, because I prefer less heat build up.
Just think "Ultra settings not OC'd"!

5 out of 5 eggsWind Is A Force To Be Reckoned With...

This review is from: GIGABYTE GV-N770OC-2GD GeForce GTX 770 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready WindForce 3X 450W Video Card

Pros: - Fits in my Corsair Carbide Series 400R case
\/('_')\/
- Quiet; hands down the quietest GPU I have owned
--- At max RPM you can hear the air moving when next to the case; not at all otherwise
--- At 80% and under, yeah, no, not so much
\/('_')\/
- Cool 'n' Quiet is a perfect description
--- Runs Crysis 2, LoL, Arkham Origins, Deus Ex DC, Titanfall
--- and BF4 with all maxed options with 48% CPU, 43% RAM use
--- and not once has it passed 48 degrees. Not once!
\/('_')\/
--- I can't hear it, I can't feel the heat. Hands down, best GPU I have ever owned
\/('_')\/
- Cooling design; the little 'ramps' in the heatsink for the middle fan are great, love the design
---This card is gorgeous; I LOVE IT!

Cons: - Not AMD; some may hate me for this, but I love AMD. The only reason I got this card was because of the rebate made it worth the trade-off (which turned into a trade-up). And honestly, I will continue to run this card until it is dead. I have zero regrets. If you are on the fence on if better than AMD, well, yes, I feel that it is. I will not make the switch back while this card is in my PC; plain and simple. Well, unless AMD beats it two generations from now. Honestly, Nvidia/AMD is just a brand. I prefer AMD, but for the price/performance I got on this card, I win. AMD lost me for this generation and the next (hopefully no longer), but that is okay, I am happy, and I don't see them going out of business any time soon. And as far as the 4GB version is concerned, I have yet to tap into this 2GB one at full loads, so if you want to save money, the 2GB will suffice for all of your GPU needs. Trust in that!
\/('_')\/
- That isn't even a con, if I were to pick a con... well, there aren't any. This card is so quiet, so cool and runs everything without getting hot and without making a sound. My dog can hear it, that's about all who can unless you put your ear next to the case. This card is a 100/10 in terms of raw gaming power. I absolutely love this card. Oh man, I can't even express it in words just how much, it truly is the greatest GPU I have ever owned; it performs stable, I can't hear it, and it is COOL in many, many aspects, including temperature based. If you buy this card, it is highly unlikely that you will regret it to any degree.

Other Thoughts: So how will this perform for you in your build? Well, here is my build if you need to compare:
- Intel Core i7-4771 CPU
- ASUS Z87-PRO (V Edition) MOBO
- Gigabyte 2GB GeForce 770 Windforce 3X
- G.SKILL Sniper Series 8GB (2x4) DDR3-2400 RAM
- OCZ ZX 850W 80-Plus Gold PSU
- Windows 8.1 Pro OS

5 out of 5 eggsA monster!

This review is from: GIGABYTE GV-N770OC-2GD GeForce GTX 770 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready WindForce 3X 450W Video Card

Pros: This thing is a beast! I purchased this GPU for a recent gaming rig build, and I am absolutely pleased with the results! I have tested every single game I own, and everything I put it to runs at max settings with ease. It has 3 built on fans, combined with my 5 case fans, it never even begins to heat up. It is simple to install, and simple to overclock. I have mine running at 1397MHz core clock and 7160MHz memory clock, with a slight increase in voltage, and it is stable as can be with little to no change in temperature.

Cons: Its huge! So, for those looking for as bit tighter build, do some measuring prior to purchase, because it could very well be an unfortunate surprise. The dimensions are listed, so do your homework! Other than that, no cons whatsoever. Runs smooth.

Other Thoughts: I do only own a 60Hz monitor @ 1920x1080, so I cant say for sure what its like beyond that, but every game I play on it, it is max settings, and max FPS, with no slow down or lagging whatsoever. I highly recommend this GPU to anyone looking for some serious bang for their buck! Highly recommend!

4 out of 5 eggsDecent card

This review is from: GIGABYTE GV-N770OC-2GD GeForce GTX 770 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready WindForce 3X 450W Video Card

Pros: Amazing card for gaming, runs BF4 on ultra, stays cool and hasn't gone above 60C yet even in the most demanding situations. The cooler itself looks nice and the Windforce cooling system works well, metal support brace on the side of the card to protect the GPU board.

Cons: The fans appear to be kind of flimsy and 1 fan makes loud noises upon booting the computer, although does go away quickly. This is enough to dock an egg in my opinion.
I'm otherwise okay that at least the card functions, so I'll still give it 4 eggs. However this is unacceptable for such a graphics card, and it makes me feel uneasy that a fan may fail in the future and ruin my card.

Other Thoughts: This card is very long, measuring 11 inches long, which may be a problem if you have a small case.
Even with the problem I have with this card,it still runs games at max or high settings

My system- AMD FX 8320 @ 4Ghz, 8GB 1866Mhz Gskill Sniper, Gigabyte GTX770OC 2GB, 120GB Corsair Neutron GTX SSD,2TB WD Black HDD, Corsair TX650V2 PSU,Cooler Master HAF922 case
