2 out of 5 eggsUnsatisfactory

Pros: While the card was working properly it ran everything I needed it to without trouble.

Cons: I have only owned this card for 7 months, Ive never overclocked it, computer case has proper ventilation, and I game on my pc less than once a week. At first I started getting some kernel error and a black screen flash repeatedly while my pc idles or during any activity. Now it has gotten to the point that any time it black screens the hdmi audio stops working and i have to restart my pc to get sound back.To resolve this I tried reinstalling windows, using different drivers, and ultimately removing the card and using my onboard video. I have owned other NVidia cards and never had this sort of problem.

Other Thoughts: I would not recommend this specific card, or any of the gtx 600 series now that I have read so many similar reviews while troubleshooting my own problem, to anyone. Now I have a nice expensive paper weight and worthless integrated graphics to game on for the foreseeable future. The price I paid was not worth only 7 months of a properly working card that I cannot return or get replaced.

2 out of 5 eggsQuestionable Reliability, long RMA process

Pros: Its NVIDIA, with 2 GB of DDR5 Memory.

Cons: Keep getting black screens during game play, RMA process left me without a video card for over a month, no resolution.

Other Thoughts: When browsing or normal activity, its all good. Get into intense game play, it frequently goes to black screen for a few seconds.
Took the time to send the card to NVIDIA for warranty work, expected to get a card back in exchange, instead they held the card for OVER A MONTH, no video card during their "evaluation", returned it with a "No issues found".
Still have the black screens.... every time it happens my confidence in the card goes down.
At this point it is a very frustrating experience and I am basically out $200.

5 out of 5 eggsStill Love It!

Pros: This is a follow-up review; originally reviewed on 1/9/2014

Put this in a new build in October 2013; still going strong/

In fact, it's going so well, I think I'm going to myself a second one for Christmas!

Cons: After 14 months, none.

Other Thoughts: This card sees heavy use in graphic-intensive applications, including online gaming, and I have had exactly zero problems or complaints about the performance.

5 out of 5 eggsSLI Upgrade

Pros: Nearly doubled the performance in the games that I play:

-Borderlands 2:
-With 1 card - Settings Maxed; 2016x1260 (downsample to 1680x1050); SweetFX Lumasharpen, Vibrance, and Lift Gamma Gain filters: 60fps when not in fights or dense areas. drops to 30s in heavy fight scenes.
-With SLI - Settings Maxed; 2184x1365 (downsample to 1680x1050); SweetFX (see above): 60fps all the time without any dips no matter what.

Assassin's Creed IV:
-With 1 card - Settings Almost Maxed, shadowing, antialiasing, and lighting turned down a bit; 1680x1050: 30fps constant
-With SLI - Settings same as above: 60fps constant (some dips in what seem to be poorly coded areas)

GTA IV:
-With 1 Card - Settings on High, draw distance turned down a bit from full; 1680x1050; Sweetfx Lumasharpen, Vibrance, and Lift Gamma Gain filters: 30-60fps depending on the complexity of the scene.
-With SLI - Settings Maxed; 1680x1050; Sweetfx (see above): Almost constant 60fps, some dips but they are not noticeable without an fps counter running.

World of Tanks:
-With 1 card - Some shadowing, floral, and foliage settings turned down mostly for competitive purposes. 30 - 60 fps.
-With SLI - Settings Maxed: constant 60fps but you get horrible artifacts because WoT doesn't support SLI at the moment...

Cons: Together these cards pump out a good amount of heat. My Antec 300 Hundred Case with it's 2 120mm front fans, 140mm top fan, and 120mm side fan does a great job getting it out. It also helps that my Cooler Master Seidon 120V pumps the CPU heat directly out of the case through the back 120mm fan slot.
If you don't have at least decent cooling in your case, I wouldn't recommend SLI.

Also, the second card came very close to my HDDs. I had to use a 90 degree SATA cable on one of my HDDs for it to fit correctly.

Other Thoughts: Make sure your Power supply can handle the extra power draw. Mine is 600W which is plenty based on my other Hardware. There are nifty power supply caclulators online. Just search "power supply calculator"

2 out of 5 eggspass on this one

Pros: While it lasted it was a good card

Cons: Didn't even last a full year. Won't ever buy gigabyte brand again. Have had EVGA or other cards and they last forever never failed by the time to upgrade. bought this one cause it was cheaper, guess I know hwy know.

5 out of 5 eggsVery solid purchase

Pros: I really love this card. Got it in my first gaming pc that I bought pre-built a couple years ago. Still runs very well. Plays most games on a mix of high/ultra settings. Stays cool, and quiet. You can even run it in SLI if you have the means.

Cons: Not really any cons for me. I've had it for 2 years and not a single issue has come up with the card. It can't completely max out the newer more demanding games but for the price you're paying you get pretty close.

Other Thoughts: You will have to disconnect it from the motherboard to clean it every once in a while. If not, dust will build up and the fans will start making more noise. If you're just getting into gaming PC's and want to build one on a budget pick this card up. You won't regret it.

2 out of 5 eggsMediocre build quality.

Pros: Plays most games a medium, possibly high settings.

Cons: This one thing has annoyed me to no end and has just recently become a major problem. I first got this card almost a year ago, when i first turn my computer on an annoying clicking noise started coming from the right fan, then disappeared right after it went to the desktop screen. Now almost a year since i have gotten it, it does not do that anymore, but does that when the right fan starts to rev up. This only happened around 75%-85% its speed, but only a week after it started doing that it now does that from 40%-100% its speed. This is ridiculous, I don't know when this fan is going to die and Ive only owned this card for not even a full year. Pathetic.

Other Thoughts: Gigabyte needs to get their heads straight if they think I will buy another product from them again.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Graphics Card

Pros: It does everything it should. Plays any game I throw at it on High settings.

3 Year warranty.

Cons: I end up cleaning the card from dust about once a month but that's not the cards fault, it's the environment it's in.

If it's not cleaned the dust impedes air flow and the card runs hotter than it should, thus the fans labor harder.

Not the cards fault though. When Clean it runs very cool.

Other Thoughts: Computer Tech going on 15 years.

Bought the card well over a year ago, really haven't had any problems.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This card handles everything I need with ease, and it is virtually silent. The only time I ever hear even the slightest hint of fan noise is when the computer boots, before the driver loads and drops the fans down.

Cons: None to report so far.

Other Thoughts: This is (at the time) the most powerful card for under 150 bucks (with rebates) And easily the most quiet!

4 out of 5 eggsGood GPU watch for DOA

Pros: Purchased and installed June 2013, ran beautifully for first 10 months, too late to RMA by the time it died. Well ventilated case coupling with its own fan makes for quiet gaming.

Cons: Be mindfull of DOA or malfunctioning like you would any other parts.
