The GIGABYTE GV-N670OC-2GD ships with NVIDIA GPU GeForce GTX 670. The GeForce GTX 670 combines high performance with exceptional power efficiency. GPU Boost dynamically boosts clock speed for extra performance. New anti-aliasing modes eliminate jaggies without sacrificing frame rate. And NVIDIA Surround lets you game on three monitors from a single card. Furthermore, the card is equipped with GIGABYTE’s latest "Triangle Cool" Technology and the exclusive Ultra Durable VGA board. The GV-N670OC-2GD is designed especially for gamers to achieve an unbeatable gaming performance and to meet a higher standard more easily.

  • newegg Ultra Durable VGA Gigabyte’s UDV board employs 2 oz Copper PCB, 1st tier memory, Japanese solid capacitors, ferrite core chokes and lower RDS (on) MOSFET, resulting in 5% - 10% lower GPU temperature, 10%~30% better overclocking capability and 10%~30% less power switching loss.
  • newegg "Triangle Cool" Technology Different from traditional linear heat transfer solution, GV-N670OC-2GD is equipped with GIGABYTE’s latest exclusive "Triangle Cool" Technology to reach a better cooling performance. The latest unique technology combines fin with clip module in a special triangle shape. With the original anti-turbulence structure plus the new triangle cooling design, it enhances the efficiency of heat dissipation dramatically by minimizing the flow of turbulence between fans. It’s proved that the temperature of GV-N670OC-2GD is reduced by 15% compared to stock fan by "Triangle Cool" Technology design.
  • newegg Kepler GPU Architecture NVIDIA's Kepler GPU architecture has been designed from the ground up not just for maximum performance in the latest DirectX 11 games, but optimal performance per watt. The new SMX streaming multiprocessor is twice as efficient as the prior generation and the new geometry engine draws triangles twice as fast. The result is world class performance and the highest image quality in an elegant and power efficient graphics card.
  • newegg NVIDIA GPU Boost Up until now, GPUs have operated at a fixed clock speed when playing 3D games, even if they have the potential to run faster. GPU Boost intelligently monitors graphics work load and increases the clock speed whenever possible. The result is that the GPU always performs at its peak and you get the highest framerate possible.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.
  • newegg NVIDIA Surround with Up To Four Monitors Nothing is as breathtaking as playing your favorite games across three monitors. At 5760 x 1080, the expanded field of view fully engages human peripheral vision and provides for the most immersive experience in racing and flight simulators. Add in a fourth display to keep tabs on chat, email or web while you are gaming.

2 out of 5 eggsFun... while it lasted.

Pros: Ran Skyrim, Assasin's Creed III, Borderlands 2 like a champ
Ate older games alive.
Card rarely, if ever, got above 60 degrees

Cons: Card worked like a dream and then one day playing Skyrim the fps took a dive off the deep end. I realize I have a lot of mods, but it never struggle bussed like this before. Reran Heaven benchmark and it couldn't get about 32 fps and now displayed artifacts and tearing on parts of the benchmark. Computer also has been getting BSOD's that are hardware related (0x3B)

Other Thoughts: I've tried different drivers, resetting the card/cables, etc and none of it has seemed to help. When the card is removed you can here something moving around inside of it now as well.

I'm very disappointed Gigabyte. The card was a beast - a perfect 5/5 - but I expect a longer lifespan than 6 months. Now I'm stuck using Intel's integrated graphics until I get this fixed.

Guess its time to see just how helpful Gigabytes support services are.. All goes well I'll adjust my review accordingly.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Decent card once I got it running.

Cons: Not compatible with the Intel X79 chipset unless you install a patch, which is hard to do when this is the only graphics card you have. Had to 'borrow' a friends out of his machine just so I could install windows and install the patch for this GPU. Before the patch my mobo would freeze on it's splash screen.

4 out of 5 eggs3 way SLI work around

Pros: Good performance in SLI.

Cons: Ok here's the bad news between my mother board and case the video cards in 3 way SLI would not line up to the case screws on the case to hold the video cards in place. I had to rely on the SLI bracket and bread ties to hold video cards firmly in place or if I tightened them in they would pull out of the back of the PCI slots, also one had a worp fan shroud and had to be pit in last PCI slot or the last fan would hit the card above it. After moving cards around the top card a screw fell off the fan shroud lucky I say it before it hit a resistor and could short out the video card, one small detail also after switching from a AMD and 3 GTX 480 to the new intel and GTX 670's my Corsair 1200 watt power supply caused game lock up's had to go to a 1600 watt power supply now its runs perfect.

5 out of 5 eggsWOW

Pros: Low temps
High fps (BF3 1080p Ultra settings = ~70 fps)
Looks beautiful

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I won't hesitate a second to buy another one for SLI.

1 out of 5 eggsWish I had bought a different brand

Pros: Quiet

Cons: Weird flicker within some programs (Frefox and Quickpar).
DVI connector anomalies:
First DVI connector does not turn on CRT after a restart. OK with a cold boot.
Second DVI does not get LCD out of power saver mode until Windows 7 welcome screen.

Other Thoughts: Lot of money for something that works this poorly.

5 out of 5 eggsStill Going and Still Strong

Pros: Bought it back in Sept 12,2012 and its still running.
Silent, I got Borderlands with it and it looks good.

Cons: I hasnt died yet even with the abuse its gone through.
I can't believe they are still expensive, 8 months later and I see my card is still worth more or the same. Good Buy. Thats a con for you.

Other Thoughts: This is my first venture in the Green Team since my 6600GT, I gotta say its good to be back, driver issues are no longer a problem, I get Physx, and a GFX card that actually uses less power.
I dont have scores, but I can tell you I dont have to check or care about it, thats how ignorant I've become with this card.
Max it out and watch it eat all the games you throw at it.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Card; Never Got Rebate though

Pros: Its a great card for gaming. stays cool and overclocks very well and is very stable. This card runs anything you throw at it.
Runs on a 500w Power supply

Cons: My only grief is that I never received my $30 or so rebate.
It wasn't exactly convenient to fill out the rebate in the first place. Its now been about 6 months...still no rebate.
No gift card, no nothing.

Other Thoughts: I dislike manufacturers who do not honor rebates. This was part of the whole reason why I impulsively bought this video card. I do not feel this card is worth $400, even $300 is pushing it. A $90-$210 card would do fine for my mid-high end video tasks.

2 out of 5 eggsGreat, when it works.

Pros: Great graphic quality, runs quiet, most current games run at highest specs with no issues on single card.

Cons: I upgraded from a dual-monitor, GTX470 SLI system on an ASRock Extreme4 Z77 MB with a Core i7 3770k.

I run two 24" monitors, and had no issues on wake with the 470SLI. With the GTX600 series, when waking from S3 sleep, only the primary monitor wakes up, and the system will only recognize one monitor until rebooting, or turning power off and back on to the secondary monitor. Power cycling only works with HDMI though. DVI continually displays "no signal". nVidia has so far ignored the issue, even though it is very widespread based on multiple forum posts.

Issue occurred on GTX660 and GTX670.

Other Thoughts: This card would be 5/5 if nVidia could get their drivers sorted out.

1 out of 5 eggsWorked great for a month

Pros: When this card worked it worked like a charm and ran anything I threw at it, key words are when it worked...

Cons: After about a month or so of owning the card my display drivers started crashing every five minutes no matter what the computer was doing, be it on the desktop or gaming. I tried multiple things such as reinstall older drivers, reformat and reinstall windows, everything I could think of and nothing fixed the issue.

So I began the process to RMA the card and so after paying to ship it out and waiting the month to get it back I was hoping it would work when I put it back in. Nope, the same issue occurred right off the get go.

Do not buy this card as many other people and I have all had similar issues with this card and no word from Gigabyte on how to resolve it. All in all I am never going to purchase another Gigabyte product because of this fiasco.

2 out of 5 eggsGood but Defective!

Pros: Great Card!
* Keeps very cool, even when OCed.
* Great Performance!
* Quite Silent.

Cons: ... Here is my experience.... Defective on arrival.

* Found my drivers crashing frequently when playing games while the card was OCed, even at 20% the max OC settings Gigabyte recommends.

Other Thoughts: * When I received this card, all was working fine, I overclocked to 80% the max that Gigabyte states and about 2 hours of Playing GW2, the drivers crashed...
* I couldn't RMA it to newegg since I finished my rig about a month after I bought it.
* I thought it was a GW2 issue (since the game was fairly new!) but after a couple of months I realized it's the card's issue, (I even updated the VBios, since I found an article on Gigabyte's forum stating that there was an issue with the one I had) But alas, it still does not work...
* I will start the process of RMAing/support directly from Gigabyte, since it's already a couple of months after, let's see if they help.
* I love this card, but getting a defective one and knowing it a month after I got it, it is just NO fun...
