Supermicro continues their long tradition of solid motherboards with great feature sets. This Intel G43 based board supports Pentium Dual-Core processors through the latest Core 2 Quad and Core 2 Extreme processors with FSB speeds of 800/1066/1333MHz. It also supports up to 4GB of DDR3 800/1066/1333 memory for blisteringly fast performance.
It comes with a full set of ports including 6xUSB 2.0 on the back panel, 4 headers for 4 more ports plus 2 internal ports. The internal ports let you add Bluetooth or Wireless connectivity without using an expansion slot or external port. You also get 2xPS/2 ports, a Gigabit Ethernet port and a full slate of audio ports including SPDIF out. Video is handled by an Intel GMA 4500 that supports DX10.
Supermicro takes system health seriously and has included a suite of monitoring tools to keep your system in top shape. There are LEDs for CPU and system overheat status and the board supports Thermal Monitor 2. A total of 5x4-pin fan headers lets you keep your system well ventilated and running cool.
