5 out of 5 eggsGets the job done.

Pros: had it for about 7 months now I think. No problems, has sat in my case and done its job faithfully.

Cons: No bios reset switch, have to use jumper, not that it's a big deal.

Other Thoughts: For $100 it's a fantastic motherboard for overclocking and is feature rich as well as full ATX

3 out of 5 eggsWish it had worked on the first try

Pros: Lots of features, when it works, works great!

Cons: First one did not work.... Had to pay shipping to get a new one, but New egg was awesome to ship another one very quickly.

Manufacturer Response:

2 out of 5 eggsCheap/Bad Memory Controller

Pros: Seems to work good otherwise. Got intel i5 overclocked considerably to 4.6GHz stable and temps holding fine.

Cons: Memory controller not good for any RAM above 1333. Had 1333 at first but after upgrading motherboard bought some 2400MHz Kingston Beast... after the memory controller kept hanging at all speeds above 1333MHz and talking to Kingston who recommended I RMA the RAM as they tested it on this board and said it is compatible I sent them in for RMA and went and got some Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz... well that seemed to work fine for about a wk and now I'm running into same problems. Runs fine at 1333MHz but anytime I run that or the other RAM any faster than that whenever I shut pc down on restart memory controllers hung and I'm lucky to get past windows startup screen and when I do the startup sounds as well as the pc itself after getting in windows are stuttier than heck. Very very unhappy as I just bought the board two months ago and did not plan on buying another. Guess that's what I get for going for the cheaper name instead of ASUS, MSI, or Gigabyte.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear ASRock Customer

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
For the memory setting issue, please set the UEFI BIOS default.
Set XMP setting at BIOS, OC Tweaker, DRAM Configuration, XMP Setting [Profile1], save and exit.

4 out of 5 eggsWell Built

Pros: Before I begin, I can only comment about the quality of the board at the moment since I've yet to get the rest of my comp parts. This mobo is well built and feels pretty sturdy.

Cons: Not really a con, but I would have loved if the manual explained how to install the power panel cords thoroughly since this is my first time building a comp. Took me awhile to know what "GND" meant.

Other Thoughts: The only reason I took off one egg was for the simple fact I've have yet to see the bios and all the other goodness. But I have seen enough videos to be well pleased in the case everything works fine.

4 out of 5 eggsZ77 extreme3 mother board

Pros: Easy to build, works good after built. Instruction was clear.

Cons: I am using wind 7. Not sure what caused the problem. could be Norton program? When my mouse was on a text window then ocasionaly it went off and my typing has error because mouse pointer pointed to some different place (internet text window), could it be tracking cookies?

Other Thoughts: I hope it does not has problem like Award Bios. I had 2 computers ran on award bios and in the same day both of them stopped working on error "cannot access to hard drive"

1 out of 5 eggsFast delivery on defective item and no service

Pros: Fast Delivery and relatively good price.

Cons: The motherboard came with the couple of crushed CPU socket pins. Real bummer. Newegg asked for the photo of the crushed pins and then denied RMA request indicating they don't cover defective hardware. They suggested I need to work with the manufacturer instead. When I contacted them for the explanation, they refunded me $15 for $109 item and told to work it out with the manufacturer. I just submitted photo of the bent chip and the motherboard to ASRock, but ASRock rep just told me they may or may not cover the physical damage under warranty either. Hopefully, everything works out.

Other Thoughts: We will see how it turns out, but I am surprised how Newegg is handling this situation. I will update once I hear from ASRock.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear ASRock Customer

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Sorry to hear mainboard's CPU socket pins has damaged. The CPU socket pins on the mainboard are fragile and need to be handling with carefully. In addition, the CPU socket is covered with the cap to avoid damage the pins and should not be removed until installing a CPU. Damaging socket pins should considered as physical damage, please refers to RMA policy at " http://www.asrock.com/support/index.asp?cat=Policy ".

1 out of 5 eggsBad support

Pros: Don't know, didn't work.

Cons: Didn't work out of the box. Had bent pins like several other posts say here. Not a big deal normally, you can expect some percentage of parts won't work out of the box. But normally, the company will replace it when that happens. ASRock support said they don't replace boards with bent pins, but they would do it for a $50 fee. When you add shipping to that, it comes out to about the value of the board. So no, I won't be buying a new board for $50 -- if I'm going to buy another board, I'll use another company that I trust.

5 out of 5 eggsBudget Xfire/SLI Gamer Board

Pros: All the features I "need"
Good price
CrossfireX and SLI with pci-e 3.0
Nice Bios (mouse compatible)
z77 chipset

Cons: Kinda flimsy, need to be carefull when adding stuff
not full atx sized (might not be as flimsy is it mounted better)
no e-sata, i don't "need" it right now but it would be nice.

Other Thoughts: Overall this is a great board for the money. If you need a full atx sized board or more features look elsewhere. If you want a budget intel gaming board with xfire/sli support and don't need the bells and whistles of the higher priced mobos then this a great buy. this mobo is perfect for so far, paired with my 3570k and hd 7950 it's a gaming beast and i can add another 7950 when my gpu can "hang" anymore.
