5 out of 5 eggsgood for over year

Pros: I have been building puters since 96, been in electronics since 64 and went for AS in Solid State Tech. I have not seen such a nice motherboard, and reliable. Some have not had that experience. But am impressed with ASrock a lot.
I run two 560ti in SLI no problem, was running two 460 no problem. Have a i53350P OCed with nonK to about 3.5Ghz.

Cons: Cant think of one for this motherboard, but some other peeps have had probs. I play almost every day for at least 4 hours, an it holds up well, sometimes I play for 12 hours straight. FC3 on Ultra at 60fps with my setup and 16GB mem with samsung 840 250GB SSD...

Other Thoughts: Love this motherboard, thinking of getting another to give my I5 to my son and getting a i7k series to up my game along with a GTX 970 for FC4.

1 out of 5 eggsAfter 10 months, dead

Pros: When it worked, it was stable and ran great.

Cons: To the day, 10 months after I bought it, it stopped posting, no lights, nothing, just stone cold dead.

Other Thoughts: I am thinking about dropping Asrock altogether and switching to something more reliable, this is my 3rd board to go dead or have a failure since I started buying them 5+ years ago.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear AsRock Customer

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. AsRock mainboards are fully tested to assure that they're working before shipped. Unfortunately, due to nature of electronic product, it can happen. However, pre-trouble shooting can be done by below steps; remove the mainboard from inside computer to outside. You can place the mainboard on empty mainboard box, check the CPU socket pins are bent or missing then reseat the CPU to the CPU socket as well, inserts 1 memory module only to A1 slot, clear CMOS and try again. In some cases, power supply causes the system to instability or even no post due to not providing enough power. There’s a good chance to swap a power supply to test. If still having same issues please contact our Tech Support at 909-590-8308. We can assist you shortly.

Thank you

2 out of 5 eggsDecent motherboard, has some issues

Pros: Lots of ports, lots of flexibility, very competitively priced

Cons: Lack of screw holes on the inner edge leads to some concerning flexing, complete failure of all PCIe slots simultaneously

Other Thoughts: It was a solid, easy to use and install motherboard for 2.5 years. I'd been running a PCIe TV tuner card in it for two years too. The motherboard won't recognize the TV tuner in any slots any more (verified the card works in other computers. That's a significant hardware failure and I can't recommend this motherboard for anyone who wants to keep a motherboard around for more than two years. Luckily it's still usable because I"m using the onboard graphics.

4 out of 5 eggsPerforms Well Good bang for buck

Pros: Inexpensive, has all the bells and whistles ones needs within its price point.
Setup is easy, bios great.
Overclocks well too.

Cons: Other than PCB is kinda thin, none

Other Thoughts: Replaced an Asus P8Z77-V-LE, poor RMA experience with Asus. Glad I did.

5 out of 5 eggsNo Issues So Far

Pros: Does what it's supposed to

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I'm not someone who cares about overclocking but the BIOS is intuitive and I haven't had any issues with the board so far after about 8 months. Pretty pleased so far as the previous ASUS board I had died.

4 out of 5 eggsGood mobo - very pleased!

Pros: It comes with some pretty cool features and I am very happy with this purchase.

Also, ASRock is very fast to answer any support questions you may have.

Cons: The only problem is the board didn't recognize my video card.
Just have to go to the video card website and download the driver for it then case solved (at least for me.)

5 out of 5 eggsNo Problems for 2 Years

Pros: I've been using this motherboard for 2 years. So far, no issues. I had to uninstall a PSU and replace, no problems. Replaced my GPU, no problems. Overall, the motherboard is still working perfectly fine and the GUI of the BIOS is very user friendly. Obviously having more PCI-E 3.0 slots would be awesome, but hey, it's great for what it is.

Cons: The USB 3.0 header was difficult with me, but it's probably just because the cable that comes with the case doesn't quite snap into place.
