4 out of 5 eggs3 years and Going Strong

Pros: Havnent had any issues withthe board so far, other than some minor anoyances. such as the position of the SATA ports. Everything continues to run well and now that were starting to see devices with USB3 Im really glad I got this board.

Cons: Position of the SATA ports and the way they point to the side makes it inconvenient to plug in a new device without having to partially disassemble stuff.

5 out of 5 eggsStill chugging along

Pros: I have been using this for over a year in my gaming rig. I have upgraded nearly every other part of my system (save the power supply) and it has handled them all like a champ. I was also able to overclock relatively easy.
Also, it has every bell and whistle. I was able to transition smoothly into 6Gb/s SSD's when they became cheaper with no problem. I never thought I would need a PCI slot but low and behold, having a couple saved the day.
I have no complaints about airflow or room, it all has fit for me just fine.
Oh and its pretty cheap now!

Cons: After more than a year of use this thing has not had so much as a hiccup.

Oh I know this isn't a con, but ASRock's customer service was excellent. I had a quick question and they got back to me within 2 days.

Other Thoughts: This is a great mobo, I wish I had tips and tricks for you guys, but for me this thing has just worked and been a champ.

4 out of 5 eggs1st impressions (Update later)

Pros: features, bundled items of soft/hardware, price, materials used for build.

Cons: In my case appears to be a faulty USB 3.0 MB controller. USB 3.0 feature doesn't work for me.

Other Thoughts: Bought a Supersonic Magnum USB 3.0 64GB thumb drive to use. When i 1st plugged into my PC (USB 3.0 sockets on back of MB panel) the PC didn't recognize the thumb drive. I plugged in a USB 2.0 thumb drive into the USB 3.0 sockets & it was recognized & was able to transfer, delete, format & use properly. Suspicion fell on my 3.0 thumb drive, plugged it into USB 2.0 sockets worked just fine. Checked my BIOS settings, USB 3.0 was already properly set to ENABLED, after reboot, tried again to plug 3.0 thumb drive into 3.0 sockets, this time the PC recognized my drive, but when I attempted to test/use it, it freezes up. Whether it be a format, transfers. Contacted Asrock tech support & waiting for response. Aside from this latest issue, have enjoyed everything about the MB, seems solid, never heard of the Co before my purchase. Will update as soon as tech support contacts me back.

4 out of 5 eggsNice board - has it's quirks

Pros: Installed with no issues, and booted-up right up.

Cons: Component layout is a little funky. HD audio header requires the cable to run across the motherboard. Cable tends to sag and ultimately lay on top of the video card installed into the first PCI-E slot. Same issue for the SATA 6GB/s connectors.

BIOS chip is vulnerable to being dislocated from it's socket. When installing a second video card for SLI, I inadvertently knocked this chip out of it's socket when trying to engage the clip.

Other Thoughts: Sytem Specs:
CPU: I7 980x
M/B: ASRock X58 Extreme 3 (BIOS 0270)
CPU Fan: COOLER MASTER V8 (RR-UV8-XBU1-GP)
RAM: Patriot Viper Xtreme 12GB (PX7312G1600LLK) 1600Mhz @ 1.65v
GPU: 2X EVGA GTX 580 Classified (EVGA 03G-P3-1588-AR) 3Gb @ 855/2106Mhz
Boot drive: Patriot Wildfire PW120GS25SSDR 2.5" 120GB
Case: COOLER MASTER HAF X (RC-942-KKN1)
Power Supply: CORSAIR AX1200 (CMPSU-1200AX) 1200W

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Board and Company

Pros: Great board.
Great customer service.
Good Price.
Easy Overlocking.

Cons: Manual is mediocre.

Other Thoughts: I had to RMA this board to the manufacturer, to be honest it was probably my fault it broke. The customer service was great and I got a new board without the hassle I expected after reading other reviews.

5 out of 5 eggsStill going strong

Pros: Cheap for a 1366 mobo. Plenty of overclocking options (if you're into that). Very easy to install. Overall it is a good mobo.

Cons: None so far!

2 out of 5 eggsdied at 8 months

Pros: low price relative to other choices.

Cons: unreliable

Other Thoughts: About 3 weeks before it dies completely (no POST, nothing) it was corrupting the hard drive. Eventually it would BSOD and when re-started it wouldn't be able to recognize the boot drive. Leaving it off for several hours would allow it to boot and run for a while longer. Then the hard drive would start running 100%, the entire system would slow to a crawl, then blue screen.

5 out of 5 eggsNo problems yet.

Pros: I bought this mobo because of the features and price. There are many settings to play with in the bios. I had 0 problems setting this mobo up to run 2 WD hard drives, Radeon video card, 6 case fans, and a i7-920 cpu. When I swapped my hardware from my old case and mobo, everything booted right up to win 7 64bit :)
If you're looking for an inexpensive X58 mobo, I recommend this one.

Cons: I wish it came with more onboard fan controllers. There are only 3 available. I had to use 4pin molex adapters to hook up my other 3 fans, but its not a major problem.

Other Thoughts: It comes with some free software that is fun to play with :)
