4 out of 5 eggsGreat Motherboard

Pros: This motherboard is very flexible, more than enough for the everyday user. Supports up to 16 GB of memory, supports up to Core i7, it has USB 3.0 and all SATA 6 Gb per second ports along with gigabit ethernet. Add to that the fact that it has the aces name behind it and you've got a very solid and very reliable board.

Speaking to this motherboard flexibility it has PCI express allowing for the addition of a dedicated graphics card if ever the need arises as well as DVI, VGA and HDMI output for onboard video allowing for both older and newer monitors to be used.

The fact that it supports all the way up to Intel Core i7 as mentioned earlier is a plus

Cons: The only thing I don't like is that this motherboard does not have a front panel connector for USB 3.0

Other Thoughts: I paired this motherboard with an Intel core i3 4130 with 8 GB of RAM and a 240 GB solid-state drive. The people whom this computer was built for don't do anything other than basic everyday tasks but they love the fact that this motherboard has the expandability to be sped up exponentially in the future by just dropping in a new processor and more memory without having to rebuild the entire machine. Coming from a seven-year-old Dell desktop machine which ran Windows Vista they could not be happier.

1 out of 5 eggsgarbage, ethernet port fails constantly

Pros: inexpensive, good warranty. thank goodness for the warranty, you'll need it if you buy this board.

Cons: Ethernet connection fails multiple times daily. says there is no cable connected or no internet, requires me to reboot constantly to keep my internet connection.

Other Thoughts: ill never buy another asus product, this is my business machine and cant afford to have to constantly reboot because of the onboard Ethernet port..

4 out of 5 eggsASUS H81M-K LGA 1150 Intel H81 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: good mobo so far for what I got for.

Cons: gave 4 eggs for it because didn't like the fact you gotta goto asus and download updated bios to flash that's a pain so took 1 egg away for that and yes it has to be updated to use any 4th gem cpu or you will have blue screen problems. but hey its only 53 bucks

4 out of 5 eggsGreat quality for the price

Pros: The H81M-K worked great for my first build for an value gaming pc. It was fairly easy installation with the cpu.

Cons: The only problems I had with this H81M-K was that it didnt have a usb 3.0 internal connector, which sucks since my case has 2 usb 3.0 in the front which is atm completely useless (will buy an adapter in the foreseeable future). Also the quality of the I/O shield felt like it was plastic but not. I also found it hard to get the I/O and the motherboard to fit together while building it into the case.

3 out of 5 eggsasus name, inexpensive board

Pros: I needed a micro atx board and chose this one because of the asus name, price and it had just enough features to make it a perfect fit for a build I was doing for my parents. Paired with 4 gigs of Ripjaws ram, a i3 cpu and a ssd this machine was really speedy.

Cons: After building the pc and only running it one night for a total of 3 hours I put it in the case box for storage until a home remodel was complete. The first time I tried to boot it at my parents, it did not start, no video output, no beep. I don't know what happened to it in the months of storage but it must have died when I turned it on again. Tried all the suspected items before I bought a replacement board and it worked right away.

Other Thoughts: Because I stored it for 6 months before finding out it didn't work anymore I am out a RMA and had to buy another one. Not real happy.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks better than I thought.

Pros: Cheap
Easy to work on
UEFI bios is nice.

Cons: None really

Other Thoughts: I wanted to build a cheap basic pc for 7 year old nephew who wants to surf the internet and play Minecraft, this was ideal, paired it with cheap Haswell cpu and single stick of PC 1600 ram and an old 7850 and voila.
Can't go wrong.

4 out of 5 eggsASUS H81M-K

Pros: Price. ASUS brand. Decent feature set

Cons: Seem to be some driver issues.

Other Thoughts: Got this board as part of an Intel Pentium bundle. While installing Windows 7 Pro 64, I had some shutdown issues where the system would not fully power off. After installing all drivers, PC is behaving. After Intel stopped making motherboards, I have been using all ASUS boards. This is really the only notable issue. Not sure I'll get another one of these as the H61 series seems to be a little more stable.

1 out of 5 eggsbad news and headaches

Pros: was cheap

Cons: cannot install windows. every time it goes to BSOD. also tried using SATA drive that had working windows already and went to same BSOD. the other hardware like DVD drive, that one might feel is in question works fine on other boards, without issues. tried many of the bios tweaks mentioned in help threads from others experiencing THE SAME issue and most blamed the buggy UEFI bios.

Other Thoughts: wish newegg had been pushing another brand for the bundle. am very unhappy with this purchase. wish i did more research before purchasing. won't be purchasing another asus product in the future. had in the past, with great success, but apparently things have changed with this company.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent MB

Pros: Everything seem to work as it was suppose to (After Update). Everything you see is pretty much what you'll get.
Updating took up around 10 minutes.

Cons: Only 4 USB ports. Slight problem for me, due to the fact that this MB is used for a Lan center.
BIOS were not up to date. 10/10 board I've received were outdated. Majority of them were Version 0401. Some were 0703. They must be updated to run the 4th Gen Intel Processors.

Other Thoughts: I currently have 45 of this board and had to manually update the BIOS to 0805. 1 Month ago it was 0804. For those who are planning to use this board, especially with the latest Intel CPU, make sure you update the board.
I've paired this MB with the Intel Celeron G1840.
