Asus has long had a notable reputation within the overclocking community and their P6T Deluxe motherboard continues the trend. Based on Intel's X58 Express and ICH10R chipsets, this ATX board is ready to host the newest LGA1366 Core i7 processors for ultimate powerful performance.
Up to 24GB of DDR3 1333 RAM can be installed with triple channel mode for increased performance. Get even more performance – up to 2000Mhz – through overclocking. Three (count 'em: three!) PCI-Express 2.0 x16 cards can be mounted for cutting-edge graphic power with support for either NVIDIA SLI or ATI CrossFireX. 100% all high-quality conductive polymer capacitors give longer life and higher energy efficiency by supplying power to vital components independently.
Get eight channels of HD sound from the ADI AD2000B audio chipset for pure, clear audio. Connect up to six SATA drives at 3Gb/s for high-speed data transfers as well as the option for multiple RAID configurations. Integrated dual Gigabit Ethernet LAN allows bottleneck-free connections to other network devices at broadband speeds and eight USB 2.0 ports allows for nearly unlimited possibilities in connecting peripheral devices.

ASUS ACPI
- Pros: To those of you worried about the shutdown problem. It's not a problem with the board, it's a problem with the software ASUS budles on the driver disc. If you can avoid it, *do not install ASUS ACPI* However, if it's already on, do a little research as to how to get rid of it, I did and now my computer works beautifully. You'll see the program in task manager -- it causes the computer to hang on shutdown when using Vista. Hope this helps.
- Cons: Well, I wish ASUS would stop putting that ACPI on thier driver disc. If you can, DO NOT USE THE DRIVER DISC, go to their website and download the chipset driver manually.
- Other Thoughts: Cheers
Killer Board
- Pros: V2 is tuned for faster system speed ... supports DDR3 2000 and 1866 which is not officially supported in P6T Deluxe V1 version board.
- Cons: none
- Other Thoughts: All ASUS inproved versions are always better performance.

Quality Wins
- Pros: Outstanding motherboard that is everything the high ratings suggest. Used i7 Intel 920 processor, and Win 7 64bit OS Ultimate and the system is perfect with all components purchased from Newegg.
- Cons: None
Awesome board
- Pros: 1366 socket, triple channel ram, 3 pci-e 16x slots; This board has it all. Lots of ports, too, and the Express Gate is a pretty neat feature.
- Cons: Four of the sata ports are on the edge of the board facing out, which could make connecting drives difficult on some cases if the drive bays are fairly low, but not a major issue.
Good choice
- Pros: I like the layout of everything on the board, especially the cooling fins surrounding the CPU.
I like Asus because it allows one to do a lot with the board.
- Cons: I wish the memory slots were further away from the CPU. I had installed memory dimms that were tall with their fins that were touching the underside /corner edge of the Thermalright AXP140 heatsink&fan. I had to grind off about 1/8 of an inch to allow the first memory to not be touching the cooler fins of the heatsink.
I went with a downdraft heatsink/fan to cool the CPU and to also cool the other fins on the motherboard rather than the typical blow across the CPU type heatsink/fan. I think it runs cooler and you don't need a second aux fan for the MB heatsink.
