1 out of 5 eggsTerrible

Pros: Booted up the first time

Cons: Terrible motherboard. Keeps giving random freezes in games (with both video card and integrated graphics). Never sent the rebate that they promised even though they emailed me that it had been promised.

Other Thoughts: I'll avoid MSI next time.

Manufacturer Response:

5 out of 5 eggsdang fine board

Pros: outstanding value
ease of setup

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: this board replaced a fried Asus Maximus V Gene mobo. I wasn't 100% sure that the cpu wasn't fried as well. So I went with this board for $80 instead of another $200+ Asus board. Well it fired up first try, tweaked the bios a little and she was back up and running in no time. Got it with a I5 3570k, 16gb of Gskill Ripsaw DDR 1600, Samsung 840 pro 128gb boot drive and a gigabyte HD 7850 gpu. Runs like a champ. Boot to desktop in 15-20 secs. This is my first MSI board and it will not be my last. "Two thumbs up MSI.

5 out of 5 eggsWork perfectly well

Pros: I upgrade it from an Asus P5E3 + Q9550 with 2x4G RAM, 4x500G HDD in RAID0 plus 2 others HDD and HD 7880. For the CPU I use a i5 3570K even thought I'm not a big overclocker, I want to keep mi option opened. The only thing I changed in my system is this motherboard and the CPU; I didn't have to re-install windows 7. I remove every driver related to the Asus MB, I swap the MB+CPU with this one + i5, and I installed the appropriate driver. I didn't have any problem at all. The PC is fast, snappier than before and stable. At $60 ($50 including $10 mail in rebate) you can go wrong.

Cons: All the tools that came with it (from MSI) are very bad software. The only interesting toll, Control Center, is buggy

5 out of 5 eggsGreat MB

Pros: It's a great motherboard. I like all the ports that it has, and the bios is definitely much different than what I am used to. A whole lot easier, and user friendly.

Cons: None whatsoever.

5 out of 5 eggsThe point and click BIOS has ruined me

Pros: Before this motherboard, I was used to the plain, blue screen BIOSes of the day. This motherboard has a graphical, point and click BIOS with a bunch of other features. It makes things so easy - I will never go back ;)

Cons: I can't really think of any cons as this point. It's worked great for me.

1 out of 5 eggsPiece of JUNK!!!!

Pros: Basic function, that is IT...

Cons: This board cannot support 2 graphics cards. I bought this as a replacement to my Asrock board because I needed the additional ports. My Asrock board supported 2 graphics cards with no issue. This board handled 1 until I tried 2 cards. Constant blue screen. I am sick of Newegg's constant RMA battle with inferior products. End result, I snapped the board in 2 and will buy a different brand. Avoid MSI at ALL costs! 0 stars were really intended but Newegg won't even allow that.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We apologize for the issues that you are having with this product.
The second slot normally can only handle a Radeon card, but not a Nvidia card, see below spec.
http://www.msi.com/product/mb/Z77AG41.html#/?div=Detail
- PCI_E2 supports up to PCIe 3.0 x16 speed
• 1 x PCIe 2.0 x16 slot
- PCI_E4 supports up to PCIe 2.0 x4 speed

5 out of 5 eggsGreat budget MOBO

Pros: This mobo has everything I was looking for. USB 3.0, SATA iii, PCI-e 3.0, 4 ram slots, 4 case fan headers.
The ClickBios is awesome, you can arrange the boot order by drag and drop!
SSD drive + SATA III = 15 second boot time into windows 7! Impressive.

Cons: Board is smaller than many ATX boards, so it doesn't use the last row of ATX mounting standoffs. Therefore, the power connector is not well supported, and it might be possible to damage the board trying to insert the power plug. I used another rater's advice, and slipped a plastic soda cap underneath the board when inserting the power cable.

Other Thoughts: Haven't tried the overclock feature yet since I'm using stock cooling. Don't overclock your CPU with stock cooling.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Product. TERRIBLE REBATE PROCESS!

Pros: Being that it's MSI, it's not a bad product. My history w/them has been positive for the most part. It has what you want in a basic build. See the specs to see for yourself.

Cons: No cons on the product. Which is great! Only con is with their Rebate center. I've read about people being declined, but for me the reason they gave was the worst. Just like everyone else, I sent in all of the required materials and I was still declined (the reason was, for lack of a better term, not satisfactory). But hey, I bought the product for the product - not for a $10 rebate. Just be patient if you get declined for the same reason I did.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We apologize for the issues that you are having with the rebate process.
You must follow instructions word by word by providing a valid invoice printed off Newegg's website (not the packing slip that was provided in the package), the UPC code cut from the product's box, the rebate document, and send out the mail promptly before deadline.
If you were denied, the rebate center would generally allow you to resubmit missing documents again, except if you had missed the deadline.

However, if you still have any issues with your rebate claim, then please contact us directly at usreview@msi.com and we will see what we can do for you.
Thank you.
