4 out of 5 eggsI like this case

This review is from: Rosewill BLACKHAWK Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Five (5) Preinstalled Fans, Side Window Panel, Top HDD Dock

Pros: lots of room, good air flow, looks great I really like the way the fans look.

Cons: One of my fan in the front don't spin. side fan by the window gets in the way of the water cooling kind of hard to get side panel on. I put a fan on the other side panel hard to put on with fan on needs a little more room

5 out of 5 eggscouple years now

This review is from: Rosewill BLACKHAWK Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Five (5) Preinstalled Fans, Side Window Panel, Top HDD Dock

Pros: Looks great. All the fans still work. All the lights still work...though they may be a little more light blue now. Has feet with rubber pads....which is nice to avoid it sliding around. The kind of thing you appreciate after a bump or two. A lot of the cases now just have plastic feet.

Cons: Those dully usb slots are very weak and vulnerable. One of mine is damaged, and the same thing happened to a friend.

I do not like those small audio plugs. I did not count off for that because none of the cases have the larger socket. It is hard to see those little things in the dark, which is most of the time in my cave. And the little one crackle. And I believe I can actually hear the difference. An SD card reader would have been nice. But again, most after market cases don't have those either. No real accommodation for multiple SSDs. I could count off for that, but I won't. All the little things you can clean aren't really that convenient to do so, and so just block up with dust more completely and quicker. Seems good in theory though.

Don't much care for flimsy plastic trays...but I suppose they have to cut corners somewhere.

Thumb screws, preferably silver instead of the sliding things that lock in the drives would be better than those plastic things. Probably a taste thing. But they certainly would look nicer. Take a little bit longer? Who cares? It would look nice.

Little fans between the drive slots would be great

Other Thoughts: All whining aside, it is a good case. It is not as though you are going to be taking things in and out of this every day. So what really matters is that it is not too frustrating, does the job, looks good and is durable. It does all that...that is why I plan to get another for my next build.

I do like that top deck connector, though I have only used it twice. So little, in fact, that that I totally forgot about that rubber guard and not understanding why I could not connect that I just connected in the case. Silly me...it would have been just what I needed. If it was not black, maybe I would have deduced there was a cover over the contacts.

This is more of a pretty exterior case. The black inside is fine but too much ugly plastic keeps it from really being attractive inside even with my liquid cooling and such.

Little fans between the drive slots would be great...but no one is doing that either.

Hot swap-like bays where it just plugs the drive in when you push it in would be awesome...no one does that either.

2 out of 5 eggsDecent case for the money, Doc failed within a week.

This review is from: Rosewill BLACKHAWK Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Five (5) Preinstalled Fans, Side Window Panel, Top HDD Dock

Pros: Does the job and runs cool. wire management is great. Easy on the eyes.

Cons: The doc failed within a week. . A very important feature for my line of work, Sr. Sys. Admin.

Other Thoughts: Lets see what kind of shenanigans I have to deal with to get this doc fixed. I don't have countless hours to be taking things apart and rebuilding all of the time. Companies need to start producing quality merchandise for us consumers again.

5 out of 5 eggsRosewell Blackhawk

This review is from: Rosewill BLACKHAWK Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Five (5) Preinstalled Fans, Side Window Panel, Top HDD Dock

Pros: Nice construction. In some of the reviews I read prior to purchase a few commented they thought the plastic trays for the internal bays were flimsy. I actually thought the flex they have made my installation of the HDD easier. All the fans worked and the case fans are quieter then the 3 case fans in my other computer.

Cons: I would have preferred the usb ports and power buttons to be on the front instead of the top of case, But I knew where they were prior to purchase so can't fault them about that.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

This review is from: Rosewill BLACKHAWK Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Five (5) Preinstalled Fans, Side Window Panel, Top HDD Dock

Pros: Great value, well designed case. Others have listed the pros so I have little to add.

Cons: It does have some problems
The USB 3 cable is a bit short, and it took a lot of stretching to get it to stay connected to my MSI z97 gaming 5 board.
There was a rivet under the power supply mount that interfered with mounting the PS. I had to grind it down.
As others have stated the instructions are useless.
Over all I would give it 4 1/2 stars

Other Thoughts: It is very large for a mid tower it is more like on the small end of a maxi tower, This in itself is not a con but the front ports and switches are on the top rather then the front like other cases, This means that you will need a few more height to access any of the front ports and the power and reset switch. If you also want to access the hot swap bay then 24" height should work, anything less then 22" could be problematic.

4 out of 5 eggsFirst Computer Build Very Happy

This review is from: Rosewill BLACKHAWK Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Five (5) Preinstalled Fans, Side Window Panel, Top HDD Dock

Pros: Good size mid case. Lots of room if you're not a wiz at cable management. The internal bays are easy to use and hold up well. Can be used for extra cable storage if necessary. Overall was great for a first build.

Cons: Manual was alittle spotty on the description on what cables were for what on the front I/O port. Extra top bay seems kinda useless right now, but I could be wrong. Front mess is a bit flimsy, bent it when I was putting in my optical drive.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Case for the Price

This review is from: Rosewill BLACKHAWK Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Five (5) Preinstalled Fans, Side Window Panel, Top HDD Dock

Pros: LED Fans look really nice and the cooling inside of it is excellent.

Cons: A bit heavy and you can't control the fan speed of the case & 1-2 molex connectors from the fans were a pain to connect but then again if you ever want to down the line you can replace the fans.

Other Thoughts: Good For the Price.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Case for the Money

This review is from: Rosewill BLACKHAWK Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Five (5) Preinstalled Fans, Side Window Panel, Top HDD Dock

Pros: This is a large case, which makes it great for longer video cards. No problem at all fitting 779x/28x/29x video cards. They install with a couple of inches to spare.

Lots of factory cooling. with 4x120 and 1x140 standard, and there's room for more.

Lots of rubber grommets for routing cables between the motherboard tray and side panel, for that clean install look, and great air flow.

This case is even large enough to install the lucifer V2 cooler, which is massive!

Has nice rounded corners so you don't shred yourself during installation. Materials and build quality are decent for a case in this price range. It doesn't compare to my Thermaltake case, but then again, neither does the price!

Lots of front mounted USB is nice, and the drive dock is a nice touch.

Cons: The power cable for the drive dock is 4-pin molex, and this part is extremely poor quality. The pins in the molex connector are poorly secured and flop around inside the connector. It's definitely a work of patience to get your PSU connector attached.

Other Thoughts: Not really a con, but something to think about. This case is quite tall, and the PSU is bottom mounted, so make sure your aux. CPU power cable is quite long. Even though the PSU I used had a fairly good length aux. cable, it still wasn't quite long enough to pass through the grommets and behind the board. I actually had to run it in front of the board, tween the PCI/PCI-e slots to make it reach.

5 out of 5 eggsBlackhawk ATX Mid Tower

This review is from: Rosewill BLACKHAWK Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Five (5) Preinstalled Fans, Side Window Panel, Top HDD Dock

Pros: Manual was very good. Overall product was as expected. Alignment of mounting pins for motherboard was perfect.

Cons: I/O panel slot was not cut right. Had to file ends of slot so motherboard I/O panel would fit.

5 out of 5 eggsOutstanding case, but a few nits...

This review is from: Rosewill BLACKHAWK Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Five (5) Preinstalled Fans, Side Window Panel, Top HDD Dock

Pros: Solid case, affordable as heck, nice features

Cons: Minor nitnoys only:

1. Documentation is a LITTLE skimpy.

2. The top SATA docking port uses a motherboard pinout (and doesn't specify what motherboards , and not standard SATA data or power cables: bundling a converter socket for standard SATA3 connectors, or at least offering one as a post-purchase would be nice.

3. All hardware is in one little bag. Would have been nice to have sorted it into individual bags by type.

4. HDD trays mount SSDs far back into the drive bay: would have been nice to have them mountable with connectors at the same depth as regular HDDs

Other Thoughts: Great case overall, just pointing out that there's ALWAYS room for improvement. . .
