ZALMAN CNPS8900 Extreme 110mm Ultra Quiet Slim CPU Cooler

Pros: Nice build quality. Does fit in the Silverstone FT03 Mini.

Cons: This cooler needs to be oriented correctly so the heatpipes follow the cpu die. On an ASRock Z87 ITX board, the heatsink hits even low profile memory. It will fit the other way, but with the heatpipes not covering enough of the die, it is not an effective cooler.

Overall Review: This heatsink is a no go for ASRock's new ITX motherboard.

Pros: PWM 110mm Fan, LowPro, Quiet, Moves some air, Downdraft. Silent at low speed, noticeable but not annoying at 100%. Quality stuff.

Cons: Hit my RAM, GSkill Sniper, had to move to 2nd bank. Whats with the power extension cable??... U cant use it without it so why not one piece?? Blue LED fan would be nice. Pricey for Lowpro cooler, but Zalmans are always hi.

Overall Review: Have it in a Thermaltake A30 case, cools better and quieter than the GeminII S it replaced. Low profile so its not the best of the best at cooling, but does good for its size.

Pros: This fan keeps my i5 nice and cool and it runs quietly to boot!

Cons: May be large for some setups

Overall Review: Zalman has never let me down on any CPU cooler purchase. I really appreciate how quiet they are.

Pros: I needed a good cooler for a 125W socket AM3 CPU in a SFF MicroATX case, and this was one of the few choices that looked effective. Almost all of these types of coolers will draw air directly though the side of the (relatively thin) case. This cooler definitely fits the bill, reducing full load temperatures from north of 75 C on the stock cooler to about 50 C, while also being much cooler both idle and under load. It has direct touch heatpipes, and also sends a good amount of cool air to surrounding components, including the northbridge and FETs, which were also overheating. Airflow is great if your case has a grille right next to the fan for drawing in cool outside air.

Cons: The two main problems with this cooler are its potential for horizontal interference and installation. The cooler would probably fit most motherboards, if not for the two sets of side heatpipes that threaten to hit any tall RAM or large motherboard heatsinks. I had to flip around the FET heatsink on my Biostar TA890GXE for it to fit (look at a picture to see how much room you need), and it is touching the RAM, the closest stick of which can't even be removed after the heatsink was installed. If you have tall RAM sticks, it's very likely that it won't fit (but generally won't be a problem in SFF cases.) Installation is also quite a pain, requiring access to the back of the motherboard. In the case of AM2/AM3, the existing bracket needs to be removed, and the provided one installed in its place. It also applies a great amount of pressure to the motherboard, visibly twisting it. There are quite a bit of instructions to follow and as the previous reviewer said, probably not noob-friendl

Overall Review: When picking slim heatsinks for SFF PCs, there aren't many choices that have direct touch heatpipes and are also efficient at removing heat, but this is a good bet. It probably isn't as useful in normal size cases where the large fan can't draw in cool air directly, and tower-type heatsinks would be more effective. The free ability to cool surrounding components is also really useful in cramped cases.

Pros: - Direct touch heat pipes work as advertised - Supports wide range of sockets - Sturdy bracket - Very quiet. - Despite the fan being clear, it has NO LED (this is a plus for me) - 19c at idle (ambient temp!) - 46c at 100% load (p95 max heat test)

Cons: - Poorly lapped finish on the area of the heatpipes that contacts the IHS. - If you have tall ram, it will block the first slot - Potentially confusing instructions for bracket install (not noob friendly at all)

Overall Review: Silverstone SG01 Evolution i5-2500k at stock 3.3/3.7 ASUS Maximus IV Gene-Z/Gen3 8GB Mushkin Ridgeback DDR3-1600 Mushkin Chronos 120G SSD I used the Shin Etsu G751 (aka Masscool) TIM. I put two lines on the cpu IHS, matching the direction of the heatpipes. I think this is the most efficient TIM application for direct-touch heat pipe coolers.

Pros: Low Profile < 60 mm ( If you don't know metrics learn it or use google to convert) Excellant coller rating compared to other low profile heatsinks, slightly louder then stock heatsink But cools a whole 16-22 degrees cooler from my research on the web ( dependes on CPU and case air flow of course ) Made of Copper base, when computer dies sell for scrape metal to make US pennies ( copper is coming up in price ) Soon you will see road side banners we BUY copper instead of We Buy Gold ITX boards it Fits ASUS P8H77 ITX Asrock Z77 ITX Board....please read cons below

Cons: May not clear all components on board Good Luck researching this one on manufactures website and Motherboard Manufactures website. Despite fitting above boards it may interfere with PCIe slot for GPU card. Also will not clear HIGH ram heatsinks Mine are 1/8 an inch over ram and still clear heatsink by another 1/8 inch.

Overall Review: Great heatsink only other option I would consider is small water cooling setup but my mini server case had NO room to spare for this setup

Pros: Low Profile Cools Well Price

Cons: For some MB's its girth will block some ram slots.

Overall Review: Overall a great cooler I have a small Micro atx case and didnt have much clearence under the power supply so I went with this cooler on my FX 8350 OC'd to 4.3. Running prime95 my temps dont ever go over 50.

Pros: Don't be fooled by its small size. This thing can cool very well. It's very low profile and fits in my SG-05. On 1200 RPM it keeps my I7-4771 around 28-30C on idle and around 40-45C during gameplay. It was very easy to install. Backplate ensures solid installation.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Overall Review: If you are building a HTPC, this is the way to go. Just dont expect a full tower sized heatsink performance and you will be satisfied.
