Pros: - NAS drive meaning its built to habdle multiple users and for rigourous rewrites
- one of the fastest SATA m.2 drives on the market
Cons: -cost, but you're paying for the extra durability for NAS enviroments
Overall Review: I use this drive as a cached ssd in my QNAP NAS to boost the speed of my spindle drives. Works really well.
Pros: -They work great.
-No disk seek noise
Cons: -They were very pricey
-Newegg only let me buy 3 so I have an empty drive bay
Overall Review: I got SSDs because I move a lot for work and the previous NAS storage solution might have got rattled one too many times in a moving truck. The SSDs are also much much quieter. I can’t even hear the thing sitting on my desk behind my monitors.
This is overkill for 99% of regular home users and their usage cases but I am very pleased with the performance so far.
Pros: Elden Ring load times are roughly 3-5 seconds. This thing rocks!
Cons: It can't hold my entire STEAM library 🙃
Overall Review: Great SSD for games
Overall Review: Mais la qualité a un $
Pros: Although the 2.5inch format drives are not as fast as the M.2, the RED has about double the life of the Blue or Black, this is being used in a NAS< it fits and worked.
Overall Review: Works as expected, being RED it has a way longer life than the Blue or Black with regards how much data can be read and write over its life.
Overall Review: I purchased this for the Monument 2 photo organizer device. It was easy to install and works very well. Ordering and delivery was flawless.
Pros: Standard SSD size with standard SATA connectors so it is easy to mount.
Runs cool but does warm up slightly (per my monitoring software) under very heavy write loads. That is to be expected.
Cons: These SSD devices were not in the "smartmontools" database, but that did not affect the ability of "smartmontools" (Smartd drive monitoring tool in Linux and other OS) to read the drive. It does impact the ability of "smartmontools" to translate many "smartd" attributes into clear English. So I submitted the necessary drive data to that project.
Why is there a useless warning label pasted over the SATA connector?
Overall Review: 5 year warranty and priced a bit more than comparable drives by "Brand C" (what I was planning to use).
Performance is more than adequate for my needs.
No apparent "major issues" with these drives that I could find, unlike the "Brand C" drives.
I bought a pair of these SSD for a Raid-1 setup to use in a home system that runs 24x7 and needs to reliably run 24x7 with this Raid-1 storage array (mostly used to read data, not write it). I had a very short list of choices: "Brand S", "Brand C", "Brand I", and WDC. I have used SSD from all 4 of those manufacturers over the past decade or more. I decided on this SSD because it claims to be specifically designed for use in a NAS, and I presume that implies RAID setup, so I am hoping that is not a bunch of "marketing speak".
I would consider buying these again if the price was "a bit more competitive".
Pros: Added a pair of these configured RAID1 to my Asustor AS3302T NAS. So far, completely predictable, stable, and fast.
Overall Review: Recommended
