Pros: Use it at work to have two 27inch monitors for my laptop. As a software engineer using one 27inch monitor is great but I am constantly flipping between documentation, test programs, specs, development environments, etc... This unit allows me to have my calendar on my laptop screen, the code in the center, and the specs and demo programs on the left while developing. There is no lag at all which is pretty impressive considering I have a wireless keyboard and mouse, network cable, and two monitors hoked through 1 USB 3.0 connection.
Cons: Not really a con but keep in mind for those who wish to use it for graphics intense application such as games and other stuff. A video HDMI connection is anywhere from about 5-10 gbps depending on what type of HDMI and a USB 3.0 is 5 Gbps. So running a game can easily overload the port an create massive lag. However if using to do docuemtns, surf, or generally work, this thing can not be beat and saves the constant plugging and unplugging into all the ports ont he laptop for wear and tear.
