Pros: A reasonably fast processor and alright dedicated GPU, probably about as good as you will find at this price point (~$700 atm). It holds up well for moderate-demand gaming, and doesn't struggle with HD video. A full numpad and keyboard with each key individually seperated make pretty good use of space. The off-center touchpad is more comfortable to use right-handed, but occasionally will click from a stray touch of the left wrist/hand while typing, can be annoying. Battery life is about 3:30-4 hours on power saving and low-load use, as advertised. Case is nice textured plastic, a departure from the usual Toshiba glossy, and doesn't show fingerprints so much. Proper ports and positionings.
Cons: It's encased in plastic and feels a bit flimsy. It's halfway between an ASUS multimedia laptop and a thinkpad in build quality. The plastic over the hard drive (just south of the arrow keys/numpad) will bend to a firm touch with a finger. No way to disable beeping on use of the shortcut keys (minor gripe, but if I'm muting it as I take it out in class, I'd prefer to save the beep). Occasional key sticking in a couple of areas in the keyboard - comes and goes, not sure what's up with that, no spill or anything.
Overall Review: Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. It seems more sturdy than my previous ASUS laptop which was on it's last legs as it came out of warranty. We'll see how this holds up with time, but for now it's a solid recommendation for those looking for a laptop that can give a little gaming oomph, but neither scorch your lap, drain your batteries in an hour, or your bank account in an instant.
