The Eaton Tripp Lite Isobar ISOBAR6ULTRA is a 6-outlet surge protector with a 3330-joule rating, isolated filter banks, and a 6-foot cord, suited to home offices and workstations that need surge and line-noise protection for multiple devices.
Recommended For
- Home-office and business users protecting a small set of essential computers, network hardware, or telecom equipment who want surge protection and visible power, protection, and wiring-fault indicators.
- People setting up a fixed desk or workstation who want to mount the strip under a desk or on a wall, keep it close to the wall, and connect bulky power adapters without blocking neighboring outlets.
- Small audio/video or retail setups protecting a few valuable devices that benefit from isolated filter banks and a durable metal housing.
- PC users whose combined connected load stays within the unit’s 12-amp, 1440-watt limit and who want a dedicated surge protector rather than battery backup.
Real-World Use Scenarios
- At a home-office desk, connect a workstation and nearby networking or storage equipment to one point-of-use protector; the diagnostic lights make power and protection status visible without having to inspect each device.
- For a compact TV or audio setup, plug in components such as a television, receiver, and media player together; the isolated outlet banks are designed to limit line-noise interaction among connected equipment.
- At a small retail counter, use it for a point-of-sale terminal and related electronics that need shared surge protection; the status indicators can help reveal a line or protection fault.
- When a desk or media setup uses bulky power adapters, the widely spaced outlets help fit plugs without blocking as many neighboring sockets.
