Pros: - easy to set

Overall Review: Had this for only 1y. Cant access the console anymore. Tech support made me install the Tether app on phone, but that has limited options... and no more help... 300$ for a piece of garbage.. last tplink product for me...

Return process

Pros: * This product work for a period of only a few months
* Set up was easy

Cons: The Wi-Fi signal for this router is weak and does not transmit very far
Quality is not very good hence way it stopped working only after a few months of use.

Overall Review: I would not recommend this product to family or other people. The return process to get his replaced is absolutely unacceptable. This is a 24/7 customer support and the first time I called to get this replaced I could not get a hold of anyone. I was on the phone fro and 1/2 hour for which I had to hit and option every 5 minutes to say on the line. If you misted like I did you have to star all over. I tried there chat thinking that would be easier and no one came on after 3 hours. I called again after several days and was able to get hold of someone. I thought the RMA process was started and called again to see what was going on with my return. There was no return processed. So started it again. I was asked to take a short video which was 3 minutes long. I could not send it due to the file being to big and had to go through another process to get them this video. So finally the RMA was approved. I filled out information and thought a box was on its way. NO box came. I looked things over some more and saw that I had to pay to send them my defective router first. I called the customer service and confirmed that this is there stander return process (Why should I pay to return their defective product while it is still covered under their manufacturer warranty) I complained about this whole process and requested a full refund and was told No they don't do full refunds. I understand that products can be defective but ridiculous process to get a replacement. I'm still waiting to get this processed through. There website was having problems letting me in to update my account with my credit car information, and this is with customer service on the phone. I will be supporting TP-Link with my business from here on out and I recommend that be the same for everyone else.

3rd dead unit having to be replaced

Pros: Great range and wifi management is very nice. It works well for the period it functions.

Cons: Died under a year. This is not the first unit to do this. I have lost other units along with regular Archers after a time. The frustrating part is trying to get an RMA through support. Seriously. Why are they asking me to reboot my modem when this is connected to a switch and is bricked. I have no response on any ports. The leds do not respond on the front. Its dead, dead. I have been on the phone trying to explain that YES, it has a power light, NO its not working. You cannot get the buttons to work it will not reset and it will not light the lan ports. I bought this because it was supposed to have support. I am dealing with outside support following a script. They cannot deviate from the script. I cannot believe in any serious company would ask me when I tell them I cannot get it to respond to wifi, lan or wan to plug new cables in over and over. I explained I used multiple cables as I had to remove the unit to troubleshoot it.

Overall Review: I cannot recommend a product that only lasts a few months. The support is not what it is supposed to be. I am getting emails from a Korean address to get the RMA that should have taken 5 minutes. I have dealt with Asus and they were in no way this bad. Why in the world cannot you follow what the customer is stating? If you are told: I cannot ping, log into or connect to a device and it is not allowing even the reset to work why play games?

If you do buy this buy a spare if you cannot be down long. Save the configs to a file and when the first unit dies plug in the second and upload the settings. Prepare for a hour long conversation with support where they try to make a dead box resurrect itself

I love this router

Pros: It was easy to setup.
Has been 100% reliable.. I've had 2 outages that was caused by the cable company.
This router can handle anything I put on it.

Cons: None so far.

Overall Review: I recommend this router. It might take 2 years to recoup the money saved by not renting out the cable company's router which is 5 bucks a month.

Eliminated Dead Spots - Excellent Reliability - Superb WiFi Speeds

Pros: Eliminated all dead spots in our 2-level 2400 sq. ft. home despite its location in a corner of the ground floor. Device has been extremely reliable with only one hard reset required in one year of ownership (unlike the weekly reboots for my old Linksys EA6500). Speeds are superb even when several devices (phones, tablets, echos) are online at once, which is nearly all the time. It has been a year, but I recall the initial setup being quite easy. The management of the routers' settings has been a snap with the iOS app "TETHER" from TP-Link.

Cons: It's big. Not a huge issue for me as it is out of the way behind a TV, but if it's on a desk or countertop it will take up real estate. The fan is always on and there is noticeable noise up close. Again, not something I notice with my router's placement, but you may notice it if the router sits next to you on a desk.

Overall Review: Overall I am extremely pleased with my purchase after a year of ownership. I highly recommend this router if excellent reliability, superb wireless speeds and signal strength and easy router management are important to you.

Great router with easy setup, good throughput and pretty good control

good webapp controls
tri-band, MIMO, and all the associated beam-forming goodies

Cons: bigger footprint that most
large top area collects dust easier than most
not the cheapest, but worth it
No obvious way to cancel a DHCP lease

Overall Review: I purchased this to replace the Netgear router that came with my ISP install.
I have had around 10 wifi routers in my home. This is one of the easiest to setup and the most feature rich one I have owned.
Seems to have all the features I normally use.
The only thing I found a bit odd was when I wanted to move my printer from it's leased IP address to a fixed one. The process wasn't as obvious as I would like, plus I couldn't see a way to cancel the existing lease so the printer would show up with it's permanent IP address. I did figure out how to create the permanent address, with a little trial and error, without having to go search the internet, so the process is discover-able. But I had to reboot the router to force the printer to the new address. Not really a big deal.

Garbage, garbage, garbage.

Pros: Looks nice and is fast when working.

Cons: I will be on my third unit soon. My first router after two months of use stopped broadcasting anything on the 5Ghz bands and in the UI showed that 5Ghz wasn't available in my Region(US btw). After a myriad of troubleshooting IE reboot, reset, firmware upgrade I finally ended up contacting support and after waiting 3 WEEKS I received a replacement. That unit functioned perfectly until two days ago when it locked up and completely stopped responding to anything. After trying a reboot the router is stuck in a bootloop and will never fully boot up. Again I have tried a hard reset on it and can not really do anything else since it never even boots up to the point where you can log into it. I have now turned this unit in for replacement through TP-Link and again I will have to wait 3-4 weeks for them to actually get a replacement unit sent to me. Thanks for the terrible product and terrible customer support TP-Link you have shown me that trying to buy outside of the big names in this arena such as Linksys or Netgear is a mistake. Never again, never again.
