Good PSU For a few years 3/26/2020 5:00:39 PM

Pros: -Lasted about 4 Years
-Fairly Quiet
Good Efficiency

Cons: -Failed after about 4 Years
-Not compatible with modern standby states for CPUs beyond haswell.

Overall Review: I would buy this again if it was about half the price.

Would buy again 10/17/2019 7:42:35 AM

Pros: Fairly priced for a 80+ Gold 750W
Comes with plenty of cables
More than enough power for most reasonable builds, could probably handle pretty much any a high end single gpu gaming builds.

Cons: Cables are a bit stiff and multiple connectors on each makes cable management a bit hard

Overall Review: Would recommend if cable management is one of your forte or you just don't care about it. You could also get cables from Cablemod or something.

Works well 8/28/2019 5:57:42 PM

Pros: Typical semi modular PSU. No issues shorting anything out like my previous PSU

Cons: One egg off for an intermittently squeaky fan. Not noticeable when the GPU is under load but at idle it's easy to pick out

Good price, weak amperage 8/12/2019 6:36:42 PM

Pros: -750w semi-modular for a great price

Cons: -12v is split between two rails lowering the available amperage to ~17. Insufficient to power GPUs you would likely be shopping for if you are looking for a 750w PSU.
-Looks kinda cheap

Overall Review: Not a bad product, just really not what I needed. The wattage and available amperage seem to be a bit of a mismatch in my opinion.

Super quiet, durable, less clutter. 7/25/2019 2:45:26 PM

Pros: Super quiet, durable, less clutter.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: The Thermaltake Toughpower TPD-0750M is my preferred power supply. This is my second unit that I've purchased with first being about two years old and installed on a different computer. The biggest advantage is that it is super quiet and reliable. Also, I like that you can install only the number of cables needed for your particular computer configuration to reduce cable clutter. I have not experienced any of the problems that some other reviewers have mentioned. I have no reservations in recommending this product.

40,000 hours old 7/24/2019 5:52:24 AM

Pros: Long life
Semi-modular
Reliable

Cons: The first one failed
cables are a little stiff

Overall Review: I bought one of these in 2014 to power my gaming desktop. I leave my computer on basically 24/7, and have done so for roughly the last 5 years. That adds up to 40,000+ hours of runtime.

That one's starting to fail under high load, so out it comes, only to be replaced by... THE EXACT SAME MODEL AGAIN.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. This will "ain't broke" for quite a while.

Clicking noise in fan 7/20/2019 8:37:32 AM

Pros: The setup of this was nice. I like the semi-modular features of the PSU, made setting up easier by not having to have so many extra wires laying around in my case. It has the power my GPU needs, and enough left over for future upgrades.

Cons: The first time I used this PSU there was a subtle clicking noise coming from the fan that only lasted a couple of seconds. I have heard this before, but it went away over time and never came back on previous PSUs so I did not think much of it at the time. However, a few months into using my computer, the clicking noise has continued, and persisted to the point I believe the unit I received is faulty or got damaged in shipping. To get the clicking noise to lessen, I had to install the PSU with the fan facing downward, which actually increased the temp inside the case. Also, when I first boot up my computer I take one finger and gently tap on the edge of the PSU and the clicking noise eventually stops. Possible a loose bearing or something... either way I contacted Thermaltake to inform them of what is happening with this unit.

Overall Review: I really like this PSU for the power, cooling effect of the fan, and the semi-modular cables. But, I would be much happier if the fan on this unit did not make that awful clicking noise. giving 2 eggs instead of 1 because I really like to potential this unit has, just wished I got one of the "good ones."
