Got a bad one. 9/28/2020 10:18:45 AM

Pros: There are no pros for a faulty drive.

Cons: Have the 1TB version of the same drive, work flawlessly. Received the 2TB version, but is unusable. CrystalDiskMark 6 locks up for a minute while preparing the second read benchmark, the write performance of the drive is about 1/5th of the 1 TB version. Windows 10 issued an error and unmounted the device. Tried both a USB 3 and Sata connection methods, same result. I think the controller on this drive is at fault.

Overall Review: I hope this is not an example of what to expect with these drives, since once this one is replaced I will have 2 of them, a 1TB and a 2TB.

GX2 T253X2256G0C101 9/24/2020 10:38:19 PM

Pros: Detected in all systems I could test on. Reasonably fast.

Cons: NOT 256GB, not even close. They're actually 238.47GB out of the box!
Very misleading in numbers, and should be considered as 240Gb drive, at least that's closer (still less).

Overall Review: These drives are reasonably fast and easily detected which makes them a good choice for a "mid-range" performance user. However, they aren't true 256GB drives, and if you're planning to upgrade/clone an existing HDD system, be aware that you're 17.53GB short of space. Calculate your space needs before considering this drive.
They do perform well though. I have benchmarked 2 of these with trusted tests, and have seen slightly better than advertised specifications, even testing them as a primary drive in use (ex: main windows installation) @ sata III. Nothing to do with actual drive but worth mentioning, the web support page could use a LOT LESS advertising and hype, and instead focus on support information.
Due to the speed and stability, I'm giving a generous 4 eggs, and only taking off one egg for the lacking 17GB. Would be reasonable to name these as 240GB drives

Works well 9/21/2020 8:04:52 AM

Pros: Good SATAIII ssd, worked well for a regular ole desktop PC build.

Cons: Know that this isn't a NAND ssd, its always good to do the research before you hit the buy button. So not the fastest ssd but faster than a traditional mechanical hard drive.

Overall Review: I would buy again.

For the price you can't go wrong 9/19/2020 9:05:23 PM

Pros: I got my first TEAM SSD on cut rate sale here on newegg. And that's why I bought it. I was VERY impressed with what I got for the price I had paid! This replaced a 2.5" platter HD in my my Opltiplex 780 Dell. The performance boost was immeasurable (obviously). But, that was my first drive from TEAM. I now have 4 TEAM drives of varying sizes and they all are SOLID and STATE... JK Seriously ...This manufacturer makes the best mid-range ssd's on the market. It looks like their M.2's are pretty awesome too!

Cons: Not cheap but definitely not expensive. That's actually a pro imo

Overall Review: I doubt anyone will go wrong or be unhappy with one of these for backup drives or even for root/OS drives. On a budget? Buy a TEAM you can do far, far worse than this company for this price range.

Great product for a great price.
