Pros: Deep stragety gameplay. Addictive "sucks you in" quality reminscent of Civ II and MOO. Graphics are pretty good and AI can be brutal on the hard modes.

Cons: No single player campaign. Even small maps can take a long time to complete.

Overall Review: A real score for Ironclad and Stardock! A great game with tons of potential for the future and a satisfying experience.

Pros: Good design, nice concept and some fun. There are mods! Price!

Overall Review: Im a big rts kind of person and this one seems a little lacking. Even though the scale is huge it doesn't make it a great game. It seems that the battleships are the only thing that can really go against each other and thats what you rush for. The smaller ships do not really put a dent in them and really have a hard time just taking out one.

Pros: awesome ability to go from managing a unit, to a fleet, to a world, star system, and galaxy.

Cons: lack of a dedicated multiplayer server really hurts this game. it uses peer2peer to play, and if you are in a university/dorm, it is likely that p2p is blocked or throttled, so youre out of luck. the lack of a single player campaign hurts as well, as it seems it would make a fantastic story to follow.

Overall Review: you really need a recent graphics card and a large monitor to appreciate the visual masterpiece that is this game. also expect to waste large amounts of time on it (i played my first solo game the other day, and before i knew it, 4 1/2 hours had gone by, and i had seen the same show on comedy central twice without noticing).

Pros: Great RTS game. Lots of variations, lots of customization possible, lots of hours to play.

Cons: Interface has a steep learning curve.

Overall Review: Played This at a friend's house so I know what this game is about.

Pros: The scale of this game is simply ENORMOUS; you can zoom from a single fighter to an entire group of star systems seamlessly. It's also not nearly as quick paced as most of the RTS games made today. It slows everything down to the point where you can play it like a turn-based game, but keeps the quick-paced battles and time-critical tactical maneuvering of RTS games. There's also no resource gathering to speak of, it's more of a set-it-and-forget-it kind of thing.

Cons: Hard to see what your ships are at a glance. They're distinct at a close zoom level, but farther out the icons can be hard to tell apart. Some of the sound effects can get sort of repetitive, but luckily they only play at very close zoom levels (you spend most of your time zoomed out). Also, the menu on the right of your screen where your planets are listed can be hard to sort through when you've got more than a few planets expanded at once, even at high resolutions on a wide screen monitor (I can't image what it would look like on a 4:3 monitor), but it can be closed at a whim.

Overall Review: All in all, a great game. The cons listed are very slight indeed and don't take away from normal game play at all. Buy this, and I guarantee you'll be in front of your computer 'till the wee hours of the morning conquering the galaxy!

Pros: this game is awsome i got it last night and am typing this at school. the game can go on for hours i played 1 map for over 2 and a half hours last night with out knowing.

Cons: the egg saver shipping is totally dumb it took 6days to ship so next time just pay for the shipping yourself and get it.

Pros: Having played other Stardock games i got this one on rep alone. -Great system -The scale -The fun drawn out wars -The total lack of DRM on the Discs -Stardock's tech support -The RT4X idea of a real time game of epic size -Newegg's shipping -Micro Expansions on the way

Cons: Well no game is without faults Sins, sins are rather minor -The Expansion has been pushed back -Stardock's sometimes flaky update clinet (they have been working on it) -The fact that when my laptop is out of order my FX5500 can't run it. -Did i mention that the Expansion has been pushed back? Honestly any other faults are rather minor.

Overall Review: Another comment said that MS had a hand in this game, they did not, the game is part of "Games for Windows" which means that it works with certain standards for a MS game. It doesn't mean MS made the game.
