Pros: Good process, video, sound. Love the monitor - crisp, clear, and at a very good resolution. Video adapter very nice. Best of all, this thing runs cool and quite.
Cons: Bloat-ware - and this is where the (relatively) budget price is offset. There's so much bloat-ware that it has a significant impact on system startup, system shutdown, and day to day operation. Trying to uninstall all of it is an exercise in futility. Had to resort to a complete system wipe and Win7 reinstall (using other, legal, distribution media and the product key on the bottom of the laptop - MS activated it without issue).
Overall Review: This is the third Asus laptop I've bought in the last three or four years. They started out lightly loaded but seem to have jumped on the bloatware bandwagon.
Pros: excellent for everday gaming and web , movie, work load for business. play crysis 2 at all max out graphics smooth frames rate.
Cons: None
Overall Review:
Budget buy great notebook for everything u want to do.
Play games and surf web and entertament.
Pros:
Anti-Fingerprint cover
Large hard drive
Full keyboard
Nice webcam
1950x1080 display
It runs super cool
Cons:
The speakers are pretty bad when the volume is loud
The screen plate is made of shiny plastic that shows finger prints
The keyboard is a bit odd to type on, but it'll be easy to get used to
To scroll you need to enable the feature and use two fingers instead of one
Lots of bloatware
Overall Review: So far I've tried to play Minecraft and Skyrim. Skyrim plays on high settings very well and Minecraft generates worlds quickly.
Pros:
-i5 2.3+ghz processor w/ turbo
-Beautiful screen with native HD resolution
-Mid/High end graphics card
-Great speakers (Bang & Olufsen ICEpower)
-640 gig HD
-USB 3.0
For the price, this laptop is amazing. Graphics run great, can use relatively good settings on most new games in 1920x1080 resolution, and max settings with slightly lower resolution for the rest. Graphics a bit quirky at first, though after manually setting when to use the discrete graphics it works flawlessly (although usually switches on by itself fine).
Processor is a beast, great multitasking without lag/stutter.
Speakers in this are amazing for a laptop, really high quality with depth and good volume to them, I've only had a handful of things times where something sounded distorted, (granted speakers were at max volume) and I am constantly watching movies/gaming/listening to music on this, just amazing speakers.
Looks sleek.
Cons:
-Keyboard layout (would prefer different dynamic around the num pad area, although it works alright)
-Some glitches with software (although I believe these to be isolated, therefore not necessarily a con)
-5,400 RPM HD
-Bloatware (although it is minimal, and to be expected)
The keyboard can be a bit of a pain, with respect to the num pad dynamics, however the rest of the keyboard (everything left of num pad/arrow keys) is laid out nicely.
Very minimal flex.
My software issues appear isolated, so not much of a con. HD is only 5,400 RPM although this saves power and is really not as slow as others might make it out to be.
Overall Review:
Definitely worth it for the price.
Amazing processor and graphics card, great for gaming and school work. Plays newer games with modest settings at its native resolution, max settings at lower res.
Battery life is decent, on power save mode I get a tad less than 6 hours of programming with some wifi/web browsing mixed in.
Keyboard is not as bad as others make it out to be.
Also, many of the issues others seem to be having with this laptop are software related, and every one of them (from what I gather) have been or can be fixed with driver updates (in some cases it seems they have uninstalled drivers completely and wonder why some features like function key and the top buttons don't work, go figure).
A fresh install of Windows and a quick search on some forums for the proper/needed drivers is recommended, none the less (to get rid of the bloadware, which takes 20minutes tops to do manually).
Great all around laptop for gaming and entertainment.
Pros: was a extremely good laptop at start, runs battlefield3 good, sound is incredible, best speakers in a laptop.
Cons: lots of bloatware, and my media keys in the top left stopped working after 2 weeks, multi touch options on touch pad stopped, and fn keys for sound stopped working.
Overall Review: sides buttons dying after 2 weeks it runs everything great. buy warrenty lol.
Pros:
- Solid build, except for the keyboard
- Decent speakers
- High screen resolution
Cons:
- The touchpad is awful. Sometimes it just does not register any interaction with my fingers as if I am wearing gloves over my hands.
- CONNECTIVITY! Sometimes my connection is just gone after a few minutes of use. No matter if I wired or wireless, whether I use Firefox, Chrome, or IE. Simply dead, until I restart the system. Very annoying.
Overall Review: Maybe I got a one off bad product. I can't really tell.
Pros:
It has been over a year now since I owned it and it it is still at te same condition. one thing I changed which is the Hdd I replaced it with Intell's SSD 120GB.
1- runs cool.
2- solid feeling as if it is new. The screen base or bundle or what ever it is called still hard no flimsy feeling at all. No dead pixel at all.
3- Built mostly of Almuniom, which is not favorable for some but it is great on the long run.
4- Great Speaker worth every penny.
Cons:
There is nothing major to be considered, but here are some of my marks:
1- As previusly said in others comment you dont have a full control of what you could run on GPU. there is a manuall option to choose programs to run over GPU but it dosen't work all the time.
2- Keyboard Layout. If you see it you would think there is no flaw about it everything on it seems perfect. But you might need time to be used to it. (not a big deal for me)
3- Color and design. I think this is the one area ASUS should work on to the conquer the Notebook. The stuff under the hood ASUS makes the best quality no dought.
Overall Review:
I think it deserve more than 3 eggs. I haven't seen any major problem or defect in the other reviews except one review.
This product overall is great. If you so picky about the layought and design you may consider something else. This laptop in my openion is a great machine and will be the longest Note book I ever had.

Pros: I bought this for the hi res screen to play game. Big disappointment in this area, as the hi res isn't that great in game, I should've stick with lower res cousin of this model.
Everything works great except read below...
Cons: Screen, Resolution is higher than I expected, web browsing experience is horrible, tiny texts and blank spaces!
