Pros: I run a small to medium sized IT service company based upon a "hardware as a service" model where for a fixed monthly cost per seat we handle all the hardware needs as well as software and technical support. Pretty much the only two OEMs I actually trust are SeaSonic as well as Super Flower (who also makes an excellent product) Normally for my own person systems I buy the fanless SeaSonic, but with their new Fanless mode I get to save a few dollars and have some extra headroom if I ever go nuts and really load a system down. When you are putting a system together there is always the temptation to skimp a bit on the power supply and try to stretch to the next CPU or GPU up the food chain..... Don't do it. Pretty much every informed technical writing in existance says the current SeaSonic platform is the best out there in terms of design and a 10 year warranty and an outstanding reputation tells you what you need to know. Every brand has the odd DOA, and both Newegg and Seasonic are top flight dealing with these issues, but for the vast, vast, vast majority of buyers this is literally "set it and forget it" SeaSonics do their job efficiently, (near) silently, and they do it for a very, very long time. If you need a power supply, don't overthink this.. just by a SeaSonic in your price/power range and you will be happy..
Cons: There will always be a few quibbles - yes, the cables are a tad stiff, so for 10 minutes of the 10 years you will be living with this thing it's a bit of a pain... so what? No flashing lights, LEDS or other things that have zero to do with actual performance.
Overall Review: Best platform currently out there. Outstanding reputation and warranty. Are you buying this thing to look pretty, or do its job for the next decade?
