Pros: Longer write life Cooler operation Lower cost than what I paid for my 4TB 850 EVOs.
Cons: Shorter warranty (five years) than what the 4TB 850 Pros would have had (ten years) if Samsung had made any (sniff).
Overall Review: I bought six of these to replace the four 850 EVOs (one of the other two new 860s is for an additional data drive and the other one is a spare) that were in the desktop machine that recently died (the new machine is still under construction). So far, all I've done is to copy over the data on the original 850 EVO data drives to the new ones (I'm going to use the old data drives for backups for the new data drive). The data transfer went as well as expected (and I have high expectations) but one thing I noticed was the new Pros ran a lot cooler than the older EVOs. I don't know if that is due to going from an EVO to a Pro, from an 850 to an 860, or both. Others I've discussed this with point out the 860s use a newer controller and internal DRAM. Once I get the new rig up and going, I'll report back if any problems develop, which I'm not expecting since I've had excellent results with Samsung SSDs all the way back to the 840 Pros. Of the 38 or so Sammy's I've bought over the years, I still have all but two of them. My first SSD, a 128GB 840 Pro, ran 24/7 and died just before its five year warranty ran out (I didn't bother with filing a warranty claim since I no longer had any use for a drive that small). The second one was a 4TB 850 EVO that arrived DOA (Newegg quickly replaced it with a new one; good customer service over all is why Newegg is my first choice for computer parts). All the others are still in service except for six 500GB 850 EVOs I retired because I outgrew them and these six new Pros awaiting the completion of my new machine (the 500GB SSDs are still good with plenty of write life left so I keep hoping I'll find a use for them; convert them into super sized USB thumb drives?).
Pros: The performance of this drive is impressive. All my applications start almost instantaneously and without any delay. All my games are extremely responsive, quick-loading, and really don't suffer slow-downs or have any sluggish frame rates. Huge files save and load quicker. Booting time was reduced by more than a minute. My computer's battery life last longer than it did. My computer feels brand new. NewEgg shipped the SSD on time. And the list goes on and on.
Cons: The price tag is it's biggest con, but in the end it's worth its weight.
Overall Review: So much more pros than cons. If you're hesitating to buy this and you know you can afford it, buy it! You won't regret it. It'll be the best upgrade decision you'll make.
Pros: This is the highest capacity 2.5" drive available with MLC-Class reliability in this form factor. It is an excellent alternative to the size, complexity and power drain of RAID.
Cons: If you are looking for bargains in GB/$, then stay in the 1TB and smaller 2.5" neighborhood. Hopefully this threshold will move upwards in the near future. I wish there was a simple and quick way to revert a RAID 5 array back to a single drive.
Pros: Had this on pre-order and finally got my rig built. Very fast after coming from using velociraptor harddives. Windows 7 install was a breeze without any issues. Boot times and general use is much faster than what I'm use to. Very happy that I went this SSD, and I'm sure you'll hear it often mention in more reviews that its fast. 10yr warranty.... can't complain about that. Can stick them just about anywhere in a case, small, thin and very light. Even a zip tie will anchor it down.
Cons: none
Pros: Blazing fast Relatively inexpensive for such a wonderful upgrade over my old Crucial M4 SSD Doesn't make any noise whatsoever, compared to a mechanical hard drive Reliable
Cons: None
Overall Review: To maximize your SSD performance and life expectancy, you shouldn't use more than half of its total capacity.
Pros: I upgraded from the 840 Pro as that died on me after 1 year use (still trying to get RMA) Currently have these 850s running in Raid 0 setup. Speeds are extremely fast and well worth the buy. So far I have no complaints on them and just hope they last longer then a year this time. Game loading times are just to good to be true. BattleField 4 loads so fast im in a new map and it starts before anyone else joins. (15 sec spawn timer)
Cons: None except they dont come with a Hot woman and cold beer.

Pros: These are now standard on all my systems for my boot drive. I get the 256GB version because that is more than you need for a boot drive even with lots of software installed. It also makes for a smaller image file. On my latest system I installed a second one as my D drive and I moved the Window's Page file onto that. I also keep my program data on the D drive. If I need more data storage I put a mechanical SATA drive in as well.
Cons: Nothing negative.
Overall Review: Samsung's technical support is terrible.

Pros: Great size, great speed, great durability
Cons: None
Overall Review: My home was submerged in 4 feet of water for 12 hours in the WV flooding. Several of my neighbor's homes literally floated away. Six to eight inches of mud covered everything in my home. The bottom of my PC case where this was mounted had 4 inches of mud inside the computer. You couldn't even see the drive. After cleaning the mud off the drive and using a pencil eraser on the contacts I connected it to a different computer and there wasn't a single error! All my data was still there!!!
