Pros: Anytime I have a customer that wants a keyboard but doesnt know what to get, this is the keyboard I use.
Gamer or not, this keyboard is the best value for your dollar.
Overall Review: This keyboard is marketed as a gaming keyboard. If you buy it expect to get a standard keyboard instead. There are 11 keys made to prevent ghosting or conflict. q,w,e,a,s,d, space and arrow keys. This is only effective on games that use those keys. It also includes optional silver w,a,s, and d keys. (The rest are black.) If you want an inexpensive high quality keyboard that just plain works when you need it to then buy this one. If you want some fancy obnoxious fabrication for high dollar amounts then keep looking.
Pros: Price! I love Deals/Sales!
Sturdy! Has an essence of quality Ive come to expect from rosewill products.
Options!
Optional silver WSAD keys are neat, nice to have backups in case I wear the letters off.
Single membrane makes it more reliable, and easier to clean from large spills.
Key puller is nice, again, if you have to clean a major spill
Rubber coated legs? wow!
Works!
Responsive, no ghosting, and when I hit a key (even the wrong one sometimes) the appropriate symbol appears on my screen in a timely manner.
Cons: Personal Con, as a matter of feel, the keys are a little light and springy for my tastes.
Could use maybe a strip of rubber, or more feet along the bottom/front of the keyboard to keep it from sliding around more, im sure ill find a cheap/easy fix for that.
A little light, again personal tastes.
Overall Review: Needed a cheap, effective replacement for my Modded IBM model M. I spilled coffee all over it, and melted the keys with a hairdryer trying to dry them after I washed them. I already miss mechanical keys, but im going to have to save up for mechanical switches if I want them.
Im also used to the steel backplate, so im used to a heavy keyboard with alot of spring, keep that in mind.
Sharpie on the Lock LED's works wonders.
Overall Im continued to be impressed by Rosewills Quality and price. Its a standard keyboard thats well built and it couldnt have been any cheaper and faster unless I drove directly to neweggs warehouse and stole it from them. I have no buyers remorse here. Well Built keyboard with excellent response time.
Pros: - Good anti-ghosting. Only one minor issue has affected me so far.
- Great key feel.
- Very inexpensive without feeling cheap.
Cons: - I dislike the large enter key, small backspace, and misplaced backslash, but I can deal with it.
- Minor ghosting issues with the TAB key while using an ESDF movement layout.
Overall Review: I ended up sticking with this keyboard after trying out and returning two different expensive mechanical keyboards (Rosewill with blue switches, Deck with black switches).
The only ghosting issue I've run into while gaming with this keyboard is that the TAB key doesn't work when I hold E and F.
When I ordered this keyboard, I assumed I would hate it because of the enter/backspace/backslash layout, and only gave it a shot because of the price. It turned out to not be that big of a deal.
Pros: Greatest keyboard I've had in years. Eggcellent price :-)
Cons: No hot/quickkeys, no compact style, no ghosting effects... oh wait.. those are qualities in a keyboard I have grown to despise and are not featured on this perfect product.
Overall Review: I've grown to miss the stability and trustworthiness of a good PS/2 keyboard. The basic style of it... the feel of it... the taste of it... uhhh.. I mean the key pulling device is nifty and so are the silver WASD keys.
Pros: Looks nice, well made, worked when I plugged it in. Key presses are quiet.
Cons: The letters and numbers don't appear to be printed directly to the keys. It looks like they are printed on something and then bonded to the keys. Grab a magnifying glass and a flashlight and look at them nearly parallel to the key face and you can see the raised portion. I've never had a keyboard like this so I don't know how long that will hold up. Don't get me wrong here. It doesn't look shoddy at all. I assume it will last for years, not months.
Overall Review: Silver WASD keys are fine but something with some color would have been nicer. I'm not fond of silver.
Good value for the price I paid and free shipping to boot.
Pros: Anytime I have a customer that wants a keyboard but doesnt know what to get, this is the keyboard I use. Gamer or not, this keyboard is the best value for your dollar.
Cons: None
