80 PLUS Bronze Certified
The Glacier 850-watt power supply is 80 PLUS Bronze certified and delivers up to 85% efficient performance under typical loads. This high form of efficiency saves energy, reduces heat in your system, decreases fan noise and prolongs the PSU's life span so you can maximize your gaming power and activity.

Life Span & Safety Features
The Glacier 850 boasts over 100,000 hours mean time between failures (MTBF), indicative of longer device life, better reliability and decreased component failure rate. Additionally, Short-Circuit, Over-Temperature, -Current, -Voltage and -Power and Under-Voltage Protection provide maximum safety to your critical system components.

Certifications
Glacier PSUs have successfully passed safety and compliance tests from CE, FCC, TUV, and cTUVus.

Silent & Intelligent Fan
Equipped with an Aero-Diversion fan featuring Auto Fan Speed Control, the power supply's 135mm fan turns slowly at low temperatures, reducing power consumption and fan noise to near silence. When temperatures increase, fan speed will also increase. This decreases the odds of over-heating, extends the fan's life span and reduces energy consumption.

Semi-Modular
A semi-modular PSU design comes with only the essential cables pre-attached. This allows for some customization of additional cables, plus reduced clutter and better airflow compared to non-modular PSUs within your computer case or system.

Pros: Price Quiet operation
Cons: Failed at ten months
Overall Review: Suddenly started dropping frames like crazy and seeing tons of artifacts while playing some Doom 4. A quick check to GPU-Z showed the video card was not receiving sufficient power. Swapped out the PSU for a new one and all issues resolved. Passed multiple benchmarks and I even ran furmark to heat the video card up 10* C beyond what it ever sees otherwise. No issue there. The voltages shown in GPU-Z always seemed a tad low for this PSU and I wonder if it wasn't faulty to begin with. The 12V signal would drop to 11.72 under load. The replacement PSU never drops below 11.94 under the heaviest load. I replaced it with a EVGA 850 BQ. It isn't as quiet but maybe that's a good thing cooling/longevity wise? It's still runs pretty quiet. Just not as quiet as the Glacier which was essentially silent. I have had great success with Rosewill PSU's in the past. I have built many systems with them without any issue. However, none of those were for gaming rigs. My system shouldn't be even close to approaching enough draw to stress a 850W PSU. I7 6700k, maximus hero 8, HD7950, 16G DDR4 3200, two samsung 850 evo ssd My system has mild overclocks but even at that, this PSU claims SLI/Crossfire ready. Should have handled my specs with ease. I don't believe it was stressing, or at least it shouldn't stress an 850W PSU. Maybe I just got a dud? In the process of RMAing now. They offer an option for a refund, which would be great considering I had to purchase a new PSU to verify the issue.
