Great router
Pros: Easy setup, fast connections, nice aesthetics
Cons: None thus far
Overall Review: I bought this for my parents to replace their old Netgear wireless router. The difference is night and day. The old router was wireless-N but constantly disconnected and had a terrible range in their two-story house. This router easily covers every nook and cranny and then some. It also runs incredibly cool, while the old Netgear ran like it was ready to catch fire. Very pleased with this.
Solid case with a few quirks
Pros: Plenty of room for expansion, fans, solid construction for a plastic/metal mix. The expanded right side is nice for cable management.
Cons: Front panel. Instead of the traditional slot method the front panel is attached via 4 screws in rather awkward positions. Not the end of the world, but a bit frustrating if you like to regularly clean your dust filter. Not sure the bottom dust filter is terribly useful either. The tool-less system is nice but there are some vibration issues. Also not too crazy about the non-replaceable expansion slot covers as once removed they're done.
Overall Review: Good case for a basic/medium build. Overall pretty solid, with a few quibbles/drawbacks.
Great little kit
Pros: Works right out of the box, easy setup, good speeds
Cons: Only con I can think of is the 200mbps claim, which gives me a raised eyebrow given the ports are 10/100.
Overall Review: It's great being able to just pop one of these in an outlet and instantly have an ethernet port available. Never encountered any issues with these.
Good budget card
Pros: Inexpensive, easy to use
Cons: Failed just shy of a year in
Overall Review: Picked this up in November 2012 for 11.99 with a 5 dollar rebate. Put it in my tablet and it worked great for about 9 months. One day I turned the tablet on and it suddenly wouldn't mount. Apparently this is pretty common based on other reviews. Normally I'd be giving a pretty unfavorable review, but I have to say that Patriot customer service was excellent and they had a new card to me in 2 weeks time. Fingers crossed this one works a bit longer!
Work just as described
Pros: Just plug them in and you're ready to go. Not the fastest, but since most of these plug-based ethernet extenders only have 10/100 ports, very few deliver the high speeds they claim. These worked right away, and were considerably faster than wifi for a PC I was using in a far end of the house.
Cons: None so far, I guess you could say the 10/100 port but I have yet to see one of these with a gigabit port
