Pros: Reasonable price at the time of purchase, no frills offering, has been a good performer (so far)

Cons: Minor: Odd pairing of a bare drive and a SATA cable, but I will take a free 90 degree angle cable anytime. A laptop implementation wouldn’t need a cable, but I suppose most new cases have SSD mounting options, not requiring a 3.5” bracket

Overall Review: Purchased this for a HDD upgrade in a friend’s 5 year old laptop (early wireless N era) and it breathed life back into that machine far more than I imagined it would. I have purchased 20+ SSD drives of various brands and capacities since their initial release and, on the whole, they have all been pretty good. I have had a few failures that were replaced under warranty, but have not worked with PNY Support before, which is probably a good statement in their behalf. Hopefully, I won’t have to. 5 eggs for “so far, so good” and generally good performance under Windows 7.

Pros: Perfoms great.

Cons: Don't even think about the rebate.

Overall Review: ...if the rebate enters into your buying decision...well...forget about it. NEVER had a problem with any rebates before from other companies. Bought 2 of these SSDs...excellent performers...but my $60 in rebates is nowhere to be seen. Believe me when I tell you...I'm overly diligent about filling out rebate forms. I video record every aspect from cutting out UPC's, etc...filling out the form, sealing it in an envelope, affixing the addresses...even handing it to the post office and getting it postmarked and placed by the postal worker in the slot behind them. Looks like I will be pursuing this with PNY. In the meantime...they aren't the only company making good SSD products. :)

Pros: Very fast, thanks to the SandForce controller. Nice enclosure. 5-year warranty.

Cons: No cloning software included or offered by PNY. Included SATA cable is pretty short, but not too short for my case. I had a weird problem as I was updating the firmware.

Overall Review: I got this drive on a major sale. It was $40 off the listed $220, I got another $20 off with a promo code, and it had a $30 rebate. So I got a 240GB SSD that's very similar to drives like the Kingston HyperX 3K for $130. That's a steal. I cloned my Windows 8.1 installation using EaseUS Todo Backup Free. Simple to use, and didn't have to worry about reactivating Windows or anything. I did run into a strange problem while I was updating the drive's firmware, however. The program wouldn't do anything, even though I selected the file that contained the new firmware. I tried changing the firmware's file extension from ".ffp" to ".vic" and that did the trick. Weird problem that ended up being an easy fix. PNY isn't a very mainstream brand compared to Samsung, OCZ or Kingston, but I've used PNY SSDs and flash drives and they've all been great. I definitely recommend this SSD.

Pros: Very fast, backwards compatible to SATA II (only at 3GBs), and boots up my OS completely in about 12 seconds.

Overall Review: I bought this for a future build that I will be doing here fairly soon, but I went ahead and installed it on my 6 year old Dell XPS 410. I installed Windows XP on because the rest of my computer can not handle Windows 7. I have a few games install on this SSD and load times are amazing, big time on The Sims 3. This was a great update to my old computer. Couldn't be happier.

Overall Review: I recently posted a review about my 120 GB SSD which failed after 7 months of use. I just wanted to tell you about my RMA experience. Filling out the web form was a breeze, RMA was approved in a day and it only took 11 days in total since I mailed by defective SSD to receive the replacement. Well, the replacement was not refurbished, nor it was the same SSD I had. It was a brand new, 120 GB PNY Prevail Elite! Thanks PNY! While I am still bummed that the first one failed, PNY knows how to take care of a customer :)

Pros: Super fast, 5 year warranty by registering the product. Enough space for my OS plus 3-4 games. Boots up windows 8 in around 8-10 seconds. Very easy to install.

Cons: None so far.

Pros: Fast, easy to use, and cheap. 5 year warranty from PNY tells how much confident they are. I bought this to replace my old Corsair Force Series GS SSD. It broke down after one year of slight usage. This PNY SSD runs a lot smoother than my old one. Unlike my old SSD, my Windows never freeze or give me blue screen at all now.

Cons: None. So far so good.

Overall Review: Hope it lasts.

Cons: After about 5 weeks my laptop started to not recognize the drive every other boot or so. I re-seated the drive and even updated to mobo firmware with no avail. Low and behold the drive finially stopped showing up at all and I have to RMA it.

Overall Review: I should have purchased a samsung evo. I have 2 of them already and they are solid drives. A little more expensive sure but thus far worth it..
