Pros: This plastic machine does a wonderful job cleaning my carpet and floor. Pull tucked in items from the edge of the carpet and baseboard that other expensive vacuums never did. This vacuum is powerful and it really sucks.
Cons: Short hose and hard extensions don't make up for that shortness.
Overall Review: For the price I am very satisfied. It does the job and does it well, pulls the dust and dirt from the carpet and sweeps up the tile. I got what I paid for and that is always a plus in my book.
Pros: Vacuum cleaner has great suction and has decent attachments. I have new carpet and the Hoover does a good job picking up the excess carpet fibers. Also the disposable bags are easy to replace.
Cons: This vacuum cleaner is on the heavy side and would be difficult to tote up and down stairs if you have a multi-level home.
Pros: Has Excellent suction. Works very well. Attachment hose works well for corners. Has good dust filter system, yet still uses standard paper bags.
Cons: Heavy. Short cord.
Overall Review: This vacuum works well and it is nice to use. Loudness is about average. Some Orek's are louder than this one. Biggest problem is the short cord. I think its 20-25 feet. When you start vacuuming, you realize that 20-25 feet is short. Good value if you don't mind unplugging it for each room to vacuum.
Pros: As everyone notes, this vacuum has great suction and a high-speed beater brush. I lower the handle to the floor (someone said that you can't do this, but you just hit the foot pedel again and it will lay flat), and it walked itself across a low pile area rug. This picks up much more than my last vacuum. Low-cost generic bags (online) that work fine.
Cons: The bag is small, so they need to be changed frequently. The beater brush always spins--when you lock the vacuum in the upright position, it lifts the beater brush off the carpet...mostly. The hose is short and cheap. It crimps easily if you're not careful. The cord is shorter than most.
Overall Review: I figured that there would need to be some corners cut to sell this vacuum for under $70. Overall, I imagine that it will last several years--maybe longer if I can get some replacement parts, like the hose. At the price, it's almost a disposable vacuum, but it does a great job cleaning.
Pros: Good suction, good attachments, easy to assemble, easy to get to vacuum bag, great price, easy to manage/navigate
Cons: No longer American made, power cord storage is odd, power button is in strange place, no headlight/bag indicator light, scares my dog (ha!)
Overall Review: Got this about a week ago to replace ten-year-old Dirt Devil that didn't suck up spit. Maiden voyage was cleanup job on light-colored carpet after drywall repair job. Seemed to suck up every bit of drywall dust. Hose attachment did nice job on little dust particles against baseboard. Hooray! Now for the not so nice: no longer American made. This is basically a Chinese product with a good, solid American name. (Hoover was bought out.) I worry about the longevity of this product, but so far, so good. Oh, and you can forget the bells and whistles. Those went away when the American factory closed.
Pros: Powerful suction, easy to maneuver, durable. It does everything a vacuum is supposed to do and at an affordable price.
Cons: The hose is a bit short and I personally don't like that the cord attaches at the bottom of the vacuum rather than closer to the handle but I've adjusted to it.
Overall Review: I've had mine for going on 4 years and only paid $50 at the time. I've replaced the belt twice in the four year and only because I sucked up a work-boot shoe lace. I've noticed that over the years the price has close to doubled. Since it was on sale for $60, I just purchased another one to keep as a spare, just in case. As for the bags, I also purchase them online for $6.10 for 9. If you have other purchases totaling $25, shipping is free. I usually add a package of bags to my order to bring me up to $25. But, even with shipping, the bag cost $1.28 each.
Pros: I find this Hoover better than my $700 Electrolux!!! Great suction, easy to use. Excellent value for the price.
Cons: None.
Pros: - Excellent suction for the price
Cons: - Noisy - Cheap construction of both the vacuum itself and the accessories - Short power cord - Short hose reach - Bags (although great for dirty capture)
Overall Review: Great for a basic dirt picker-upper. Don't expect any miracles though.
