Pros: Good antenna and that is what i was hoping for

Cons: Low battery life, with wifi on it last 12hours with about 20 minutes talking and 5 texts. wifi off 10 minutes talkiing 30 texts 30 hours. both times battery at 9-10 percent that is just not good I wish there was a 3 and half eggs

Overall Review: I wanted better antenna because my basic phones lose connection too often in my area and it has been great, I can not comment on the smart phone part because I really don't use it and at 47 the screen is just to small to do much. the keyboard seams small to me but my daughter says it's great...1st phone with keyboard for me. all in all it seams fine,back cover does feel cheap but battery absolutely sucks I got it for 54 dollars so really the phone is a steal at that price I think except for battery life

Pros: Great user interface, best multitasking of any smartphone (I say that as an Apple fanboy!). Very customizable through Homebrew apps/patches. All of the apps you will need. Hard to break: I've run over it and all I had to do was put a new cover on it and turn it back on. It has a full physical keyboard and Mobile Hotspot. Dirt cheap batteries/backs/cases. TouchStone magnetic induction charging. 3G, Bluetooth 2.0, WiFi. Push notifications.

Cons: Battery life isn't as good as some others...if you do a lot of internet/Mobile Hotspot, it might not last you a whole day. Will get slow if you have a lot of apps open. Not as many apps as iOS/Android.

Overall Review: Great phone overall. Not super fast, but it multitasks better than any other phone. TouchStone charging is great, as is the Mobile Hotspot feature. Super slim, fits great in your pocket. Doesn't have tons of apps, but it has the important ones: Bank of America, Evernote, Dropbox, Facebook, Twitter, Pandora, Spotify, Angry Birds, Slacker, The Weather Channel, NYTimes/Reuters, etc. Great gestures and touchscreen. Fully customize any aspect of webOS using Preware/homebrew apps.

Pros: This is a great, low priced phone that has more features than other smart phones. It has built in WiFi and GPS allowing you to connect to a local wireless network at no cost or use GPS apps without requiring 3G data service. I got one for my son as well because of the music, free apps, WiFi capability, etc. He absolutely loves this phone and I got it for $30.00 on e Bay (with a $12/month plan from PagePlus cellular that works for his cellular usage). Compared to an MP3 player this phone beats ones that don't have the same storage, don't have touch screens and obviously don't have free apps. Sound quality using a good set of headphones is fantastic (listening without headphones is OK...but I don't know any low priced phones that sound good without headphones so I don't know what the other users where expecting when they put down the sound quality). I personally use mine as my sole MP3 player whenever I go to the gym (or chores). I haven't used my old MP3 player since I got this phone.

Cons: NewEgg.com's price (even at the sale price). You can get this same phone on e Bay for as low as $30 or a buy it now price on brand new ones for $45. NewEgg needs to reduce their price down even further to be competitive.

Overall Review: I'm writing this review because of some of the other bad reviews left to help those that may be confused from them. First off if you have the Palm Pixi Plus (Verizon network) you can use PagePlus Cellular service (http://www.pagepluscellular.com) at a fraction of the cost that Verizon (or Sprint) wants to charge you. You can activate it for as little as $0.99 (search for 'PagePlus Activation' on e Bay). Once activated it is EXTREMELY easy to create a Palm Profile account. Only if you don't activate it is it difficult/impossible. If you don't want to activate it you can still hack the phone using PreWare to bypass the activation allowing you to setup your Palm Profile without actually having service. The $0.99 activation doesn't require you to have any contracts or to actually get cellular service. But at the prices PagePlus plans have, there isn't any reason not to. I've never had any of the problems reported in the bad reviews (i.e. poor battery life, sound level, freezing a lot, etc)

Pros: Customable, cheap, not common (at least in Quebec), works great with or without a data plan. In MOST case, GPS will need a data / wifi connection to show map but there are ways around that (see Navit).

Cons: WebOs has less apps than Android, BlackB or Irobots. You will need a data plan at first to activate the phone and create a palm profile. Loose the data plan after that if you want.

Overall Review: Needs to be activated first to use it. Swap a sim card that has a data plan associated with it (find a friend, a relative...) and make your profile. After that, put your sim card, (with or without a data plan: mine has no data). Works awesome. This phone is one smart device.

Pros: Great size and form factor for the gym. I was looking for a new mp3 player with Bluetooth for the gym, and for the money, this is perfect combination for everything... plus web, email, text, games, video, youtube... all in one! 6.5gig space avail for music / video. Fast and easy learning curve to use. Music info with usable music controls on the lock screen along with incoming email and text info (if sim data or wifi connected), and uses the light up swipe bar for blinking notifications. good volume for plug in headphones. Nice that is charges with a micro usb port same most phones so easy to keep charged I use it instead of carrying around my Galaxy Note at the Gym. Used my sim to set it up initially, with no problems. Now I use it without sim as MP3 / WiFi, or with it sometimes when I'm expecting a call or text while working out. It pulled all my Google contacts info with pix, and push Gmail works good. Even the Foursquare app used the gps and work great.

Cons: Web browser is dated, missing functions like tabs, tho works fine on the small screen with pinch / zoom. HP removed google maps, but BFG is a good replacement in the app catalog that is close and uses google. Its a bit flimsy and cheaply made

Overall Review: watch a couple youtube reviews to see how it looks in action. $50 for an ipod OR $50 for a mp3 with bluetooth, wifi, touch screen, gps, text, email, web browser, camara with flash, removable battery... oh AND can make phone calls!

Pros: I own this phone for close to two weeks now. It's indeed a great entry level smart phone. If you have never owned a smart phone before you will be very pleased with this device. webos does the job and it's pretty slick. Wifi and bluetooth works great. camera is nice. Overall I am happy with the device. I taking away one start because of the activation process, else it's a 5 star phone.

Cons: When you first get the phone, activating can be a real pain. If you already have a data plan then this should not be a problem. If you do not then you will have to by-pass the the activating process (creating palm profile) using an activation tool (https://developer.palm.com/content/resources/develop/developing_on_an_unactivated_device.html). Along with the tool you will need the latest webos sdk, without the sdk it won't be able to run the activation tool (https://developer.palm.com/content/resources/develop/sdk_pdk_download.html). I have also read that at&t starts charging for the data plan as soon as you own this phone --- so far it has been two weeks and I haven't received any text or email from at&t saying that I will have to subscribe for data plan. I make sure I am only using wifi though. Through IMEI at&t does know that I own this phone (my account displays this phone) but I will be really surprised and upset if at&t starts charging me for data plan -- so far it has not.

Pros: - Smart phone at a very Cheap price. - Lots of Functionality. - Nice interface with HP Touchpad - Signal Strength/Sound quality - Speaker phone

Cons: - Activation, if you don't have a data plan - Charging slot is not well positioned. - Keyboard is small (May be I am using HTC HD7 for a while :) People complain a lot about the battery life. but I keep all the background services off when not required, so I get a decent battery life.

Overall Review: Before I bought this phone, I was aware that activation requires data plan which I don't have. so, was not too surprised. Below are the steps. * Download the activation tool. link - http://cdn.downloads.palm.com/sdkdownloads/ActivationBypass/2010-04-16/devicetool.jar * Make sure java is installed on your PC (By default it should be installed :) ) * Get your phone in USB mode. I was able to get very easy way without even removing battery 1. Easy way - -- Shut down the phone. -- Press the "R" key from the keyboard. -- Plug in the USB cable to the computer. -- Release the R key You will see a USB Icon on your phone. Means you are in USB mode. 2. Difficult way -- this one involves removing battery and volume up key * From the command line -- enter > java -jar devicetool.jar And you should be all set. Mine went very smoothly.

Pros: WiFi, touchscreen, mp3/mp4 player, bluetooth

Cons: average battery life, no app for netflix

Overall Review: This is my second Palm Pixi purchased in the last 3 months. I have a 4 year old ATT prepaid plan and I had zero problems setting up the Palm profile. I simply inserted my sim card...followed the on screen instructions and within 3 minutes it was up and running. I'm not sure why so many others have problems with profile setup but when I purchased this phone for my wife, I initially tried to set it up with my daughters sim card which is also prepaid but only activated for a few months. Perhaps because our sims have been activated for the last 4 years it gave no issues. But anyhow, this phone is awesome! I especially enjoy having wifi. My wife and I aren't blowing our money away in a 2yr plans and we only spend $25 every 3 months. I'd much rather put away all the money I'm saving in my retirement or my daughters college fund. Just my 2c
