Overall Review: Overall, great laptop. The best for its price. - En general, buena laptop. La mejor en su precio. Pros: The laptop is very powerful but comfortable to use, and lighter than it looks. Keyboard is practical and also nice, screen just the right size for me and the ssd+hdd combo just makes the computer run very well. Tge service by Newegg was great and i received the package very quickly, even though i had some trouble with paypal.

Cons: The charger is very heavy, combined with an average battery makes it cumbersome to carry around.

Pros: It runs, Kinda. Its not the power house it looked like on paper.

Cons: CPU pretty much stays throttled. Fan mode is extremely loud. Display is very underwhelming for a 1000$ laptop. Web cam never worked, (although I dont need it often). PC crashes every time i scan for new hardware in device manager. MSI doesnt offer warranty EXCHANGE, only warranty repair and I've never gotten a PC back from manufacturer repair in better condition than i sent it out in. Their customer service is abysmal. I'm limited in my options as I bought this as a multi-use laptop and i cant work without it.

Overall Review: Step it up MSI. I am very disappointed and feel like I have been stuck with a hunk that didnt even last a year with no recourse. I'll have to bite the bullet and do a full wipe and reinstall and hope its just bad drivers. But knowing my luck its going to be a garbage SSD causing all my issues.

Pros: - Top of the line i7 processor and video card - M.2 Slot allowed easy upgrade to an SSD boot drive

Cons: - No backlit keys (I expect them as an option at least in this price range) - No SSD boot drive

Overall Review: I planned on immediately upgrading this by adding an M.2 SSD... However, this thing was VERY VERY slow booting from the 1TB drive. It was so slow that my 3 year old $500 laptop was faster at everyday tasks. Luckily, after adding some solid state goodness to the mix, it performed as I's expect something in this price range to.

Pros: Low price to performance ratio = More bang for your buck! Latest technology and up to date internal parts. Trust-able brand, MSI stands behind their products and customer support is easy to reach. Solid state drive improves boot times by leaps and bounds, while the HDD allows for tons of storage. Screen is easy to see from all angles. High performance fan keeps the laptop cool even while gaming and it is very quiet. The unit is very lightweight, but solid and extremely portable. Quiet SteelSeries keyboard that feels very fluid when typing and looks great. Graphics card has no problem handling newer games with ease.. ( So far I've tested Minecraft on <Ultra> and Tom Clancey's: The Division on <Very High> settings.) Doesn't come with a ton of bloatware; however my SSD was over half full from the OS. Not a big deal for me as I keep my SSD as my Boot drive only! (Most of these files were contained in the Windows.old folder. Windows updated as soon as I connected it to the internet. I fixed this by running disk clean up and had it remove the large folder as it was unneeded.)

Cons: Battery performance is quite a bit less than stated, but is acceptable for the performance. Matte casing picks up fingerprints and dust and requires constant cleaning to look sleek. (But when clean it does look mighty flashy)

Overall Review: This purchase ended up shipping with a MSI backpack and a game journal, which was unexpected; the backpack is very sturdy, however a bit big for this 15.6" laptop. The journal is very nice and is also MSI branded. All-in-all you'd be hard pressed to find a better deal for this price point. The laptop is very well built and seems durable enough to last a good amount of time before needing to be replaced. I think you'd definitely be happy with this purchase for a on the go mobile gaming platform. If I were to purchase another laptop from Newegg I would definitely upgrade to two day shipping as there was a rebate on this item that I almost missed out on because of the shipping time. It was expected to arrive 8/31 when I purchased it, however pushed to 9/01. (I don't know if this was an error or Newegg or FedEx's part but I would suspect the ladder if it came down to it.)

Pros: I bought the GL62M to replace my aging Lenovo. This laptop performs incredibly well - for under $1000, you get a full quad-core i7 Kaby Lake with fantastic performance. - Great performance for coding, development - SSD is large enough to hold both Windows and Linux for my dual-boot system - Matte 1080p display is fantastic for coding, watching videos, browsing the web - Chiclet keyboard feels great and has excellent travel - Hardware feels very solid in general - Graphics card is not the most powerful, but certainly holds its own and is more than adequate for some light gaming - Port layout is very well optimized - all ports are spread out in a way which allows one to use most of them simultaneously if desired -

Cons: - Plastic build scratches fairly easily - No removable battery, and battery life is good but not great - Trackpad is a little slow - not a big deal, and easy to get used to

Overall Review: I would absolutely recommend this product. My only complaint is that the matte-finish plastic scuffs very easily; aside from this, however, it looks and feels great!

Pros: Great for the most important reasons one would get a gaming laptop : - Runs virtually silently unless playing a game that requires the full power of the graphics card. - Great performance (the most graphics intensive games I play are probably Elite:Dangerous, Star Citizen, and Skyrim with lots of mods - and this laptop can run all of that smoothly). - Has ability to become mobile hotspot (sharing its WiFi connection). It saved me a hassle when I moved and my new internet has a browser login...the mobile hotspot is the only way I can play online with my Nintendo 3DS.

Cons: - Battery life is kinda short...but as advertised so they don't lose any points. - The hinge feels a bit flimsy. I've had it for 2 months now with no change in performance...but if something on it is going to break I expect it will be that. - Touchpad is poorly positioned (I frequently find my left hand resting on the edge of it - which prevents it from working with my right hand)

Overall Review: I've seen a lot of people complain about the screen and keyboard - but I don't think they're bad. I never use the backlights on my desktop keyboard anyway (but I know how to type so I don't need to look). I'm in a different place every weekend so being able to play with friends no matter where I am is very nice. In the two months I've had this laptop I haven't missed using my desktop at all. I will definitely be considering MSI purchases in the future.

Pros: - Great power for money; can play most games and renders (modeling software) quite well. It will run just about any modern, mainstream AAA game at medium-to-max graphics with at least 60 FPS. It can manage DOOM on Ultra settings at about 80 fps. The power is there, and the power is very real. If you really want a gaming laptop (really, gaming is best done on a desktop rig), then this is a good one for the price. - Amazing fan; was not expecting to like the fan so much. Keeps the laptop within safe temperatures and easily cools it back down after you're done with strenuous work. Just make sure you have it on a flat surface to keep the airflow constant. It even has an easily-accessible button you can press to instantly crank the fan up to max if you need it... though I doubt you ever truly will. I bought a cooling pad specifically for this laptop, and while I'm sure it helps somewhat, it doesn't really need it. - Keyboard feels fine. I had no problems adjusting. - Decent wifi card installed, no issues there. - Microphone and camera good quality too. - Very little bloatware. - SSD makes startup and loading snappy. - Nice screen with wide viewing angle. - Lots of control over the fan, sound, and screen quality. - Very lightweight, if you like that sort of thing. - Setting it up and getting it running was fast. I was actually surprised; I had completely moved over to the new laptop within a day. On that note, I'd recommend Ninite (do a Google search) for installing common, frequently-used software; it can cut your setup time by many, many hours.

Cons: - The screen cover is very, very flimsy. I'm actually worried I'll break it if I'm not gentle. This is probably my biggest issue with the laptop, and it's relatively minor. - Screen isn't calibrated "perfectly", particularly the gamma. Shouldn't be an issue for non-artists. It's easily adjustable in most cases anyway. - Headphones may buzz quietly if you're looking at a bright screen. Changing or muting volume has no effect on this. - It comes with Norton installed. Fortunately, I found removing it fairly painless. - It is NOT VR-capable. It falls JUST short. I knew this when I bought it, but some people might be disappointed to learn this if they expect otherwise. - The audio is not quite as good as advertised. The sound feels very slightly "tinny"; the classic hallmark of cheap speakers. This is all right, though; I typically play with headphones anyway, and with proper headphones the sound is impeccable.

Overall Review: Overall, this was an excellent purchase I would certainly recommend to someone wanting a medium-priced budget workhose/gaming laptop. If you want a laptop specifically for rendering, you should probably buy something a little more powerful; the 1050 Ti graphics card is excellent, but still only the entry level version for Nvidia's 10X line. It can still certainly hold its own, though. If you want something mobile and good for gaming without overspending, this is an excellent choice. My only real problem with the machine is the flimsy lid. This was not marketed as a "super thin" laptop, but it's about as sturdy as one (i.e., not at all). Keep it safe and take care of it, and it'll probably last you a long time. If you're prone to dropping things, spilling things, or otherwise damaging your equipment, you should probably look for something else; this screen will not survive a drop, likely even if the lid is closed. It will shatter. You've been warned. Overall: I'm giving it a five-star rating because honestly, it's an excellent buy - particularly for the price. It's hard to beat a new Nvidia graphics card (with 4GB of RAM), a high-power 7th-gen Intel CPU, a SSD to boot (pun intended), and the excellent fan. It's not the best quality on the market, but for a modest budget, it has excellent value-for-money.
