Comments: Chose this drive for a friend's DIY computer, and liked the reviews so much, and was finally getting tired of the speed of my 4x Sony CDRW and the noise of my Pioneer DVD, that I got this too. I can't say anything anyone else hasn't, but the drive is so quiet and efficient and inexpensive that I've been recommending it to everyone. Good job, LG and Newegg!

Comments: I have been using LG cd-writers and cd-roms for years and have never encountered a problem. What i love about LG drives is the speed at which they read a CD when you pop it in the drive. I always reccomend LG!

Comments: I am extremely pleased with this drive. I've already burned more than a dozen CDs with home video and still digital pictures for my brothers soccer team without any issues and in no time at all compared to my old LG CD-RW drive (which is still an excellent drive, but only 8x)

Comments: This drive replaced an early model LG dvd/cdrw combo in my system. This new drive is way faster of course, but just like my old one it's smooth and quiet and reads/writes to just about any disc you stick in. Highly recommended. And get it here at NewEgg. In my experience, this is one of the very best merchants (of any kind) on the Internet.

Comments: Did not initially consider this brand when I was researching DVD/CD-RW drives, but I'm glad I did my homework. Thanks to all those who took the time to write a review. Like others say, this drive is smooth and quiet. DVDs play fine (no DVD software included... but you can buy PowerDVD OEM from Newgg for only $5) and I was able to burn a CD with no problem. $60 well spent.
